Personally I think the length was fine ~4 hours is what I want out of a PPV, that said, I think the match order made it feel more exhausting than normal.

Also - go back to Saturdays!

I think they went Sunday with Revolution because they didn’t want to compete with UFC 272.

I know Double or Nothing is on a Sunday as well, but that’s a holiday weekend in the US.

Speaking of Twitter, the new "controversy" is over Punk's entrance at Revolution.

A bunch of casuals was complaining on Twitter that they didn't get it and that AEW did a poor job of explaining the significance of the entrance. This is strange because Excalibur literally explained as Punk was walking to the ring. I don't get how you couldn't understand unless you were deaf, you were listening on mute, or you are just attention-seeking.

I was actually caught off guard that a few of the wrestling "journalists" (and yes, I'm using that term very loosely here) didn't know anything about this theme. I feel if you claim to be a journalist of a sport, you should probably know the history of the sport you are covering. And there are these wonderful devices called smartphones where you can access the world wide web to do research. I'm telling you, it's a crazy world we live in.

A meteor needs to hurry up and wipe us all out.

It's the nonstop spot fests that make it exhausting IMO

Was there something I'm missing or forgetting? Why did they emphasize some sort of "agreement" during the tag match between the Young Bucks and reDragon? And why did they make it seem like titles couldn't change hands if Jurassic Express weren't the legal competitors?

I don't know anything about Punk in ROH, but even I got that this was a throwback to his ROH days. They even mentioned Punk competed in dog collar matches before too.

I liked this entrance a lot. If he ever goes heel in AEW, that would fit a lot more than Cult of Personality.

Fish/O'Reilly helped the Bucks win their qualifier match, and they're kinda technically in the same faction. As far as some rule about JE having to get pinned for there to be a title change..idk. I seem to remember the announcers implying anyone could pin anyone for the titles. If that's not the case that's pretty dumb.

I heard the same, that the belt could change hands with any pin. I don’t recall hearing a stipulation regarding JE needing to be pinned at all. That would’ve taken away from the match, in my opinion.

Going back and watching Mox/Danielson, I noticed that Danielson’s shoulder was up during the final pin. I can’t help but think they twist that into a rematch between the two. I wouldn’t be upset at all.

Last, the new women’s belt has a resemblance to the Mid-South North American Heavyweight Championship belt, which makes me like it even more. Respecting history like that with influence from other organizations is really meaningful.

Yeah people are dumb. I didn’t watch RoH back then either but based on his promo I understood what was happening. Of course it helps I love that AFI album marked out just for the song

                  Punk is still trash though
