RAW after Mania used to be lit, now that’s at least 2 years where it feels meh, what happened?

The crowd got annoying and it became "a thing." The crowd was still insufferable today, tbh. Always trying to put themselves over.

When it becomes "a thing" then every year it has to live up and there's no reason why that Raw needs to be a certain way. Debuts should happen any time. Feuds starting and ending should happen anytime. This isn't a traditional show. We don't need "season premieres" so to speak.

We can have a great Raw after Wrestlemania without being *the* Raw After Mania.

      Frankly, I'm happy about that.

The crowd singing the "goodbye" song at Rock did feel really dumb, honestly. I get he's the heel, but you have to be incredibly stupid to want him gone. Especially after great segments like that.

I enjoyed RAW post WM this week. It was much better than last year for sure when he who shall not be named ripped up the script and booked **** on the fly. I kinda thought the opening segment should have been shorter though. Jesus christ. I believe that Cody/Rock segment took up the first 40+ minutes of the show. What was up with them holding each other's Title belt too? But whatever. If this is leading to an eventual showdown, then I'm for it. Really shocked that Rock is participating in a lot of wrestling this year compared to his "run" from last decade.

I dont watch NXT so I dont know the ones who made their "debut" or whatever we are supposed to call this. So I dont know what to make of Dragunov/Shinsuke and Roxanne Perez/Indi Hartwell. Decent matches though as they were a good way to introduce us to them. Roxanne Perez has potential as she seems to have swagger to her. Not sure what to make of Damian Priest as the World Champion right now. He should be the official leader of Judgment Day in this case. I honestly hope he holds the Title for longer than 2 or 3 months. But the 6 man tag team match did get me to laugh due to the surprise 3rd member of Awesome Truth. I still remember when these three were feuding a long time ago. I also got a kick out of seeing Liv throwing that chair to Rhea backstage during that assault segment. I'm down with this feud. Good tag team match between Zayn and Gable vs Imperium. Looks like Zayn and Gable are going to feud with each other eventually. Poor Chelsea Green had to get squashed by Jade Cargill. Wonder if this match had to get cut due to Cody and Rock's segment. Lastly, Drew McIntrye continues to put up great promos. He brought up good points again in his promo before the main event match. I have no problem with Jey getting the win in a solid Fatal Four Way match. It makes sense. And its new. Can't complain about that right?

Between the six-man tag, Zayn/Gable vs Imperium, and the main event itself...plenty of spots to cut a little here and there to find a minute if they wanted to.

Or maybe they wanted the quick cut ending this week instead of the usual drawn-out celebration.
Both things are probably true. The opening promo did feel too long, though. It could have ended at 3 different spots, but they kept dragging it, lol.

It was also weird how they cut Drew's promo off.

Last night felt underwhelming to me. Not enough returns or debuts and it felt like your typical Raw.

It was absolutely way too long, yeah. Just dragging it out because they could.

That's one thing I hate about the draft happening now (or at least a full draft).

Didn't we just spend a month having Pearce and Aldis going at it over who can sign the hottest free agents? Just for the draft to be like "actually, you can just draft whoever now".

Despite this being a still, you can feel and see the kind of tension I can't mention here. Like it honestly looks like Steph is eying Brie and Nikki looks unsure of what is happening lol.

Nikki probably thinking "What if Brie died in the womb?"

What's also crazy in this moment is how Priest hadn't even gone to ROH yet. He was literally just a nothing extra as a local Indy talent.

Two Triple Threat Matches with the winners facing each other next week, and the winner getting the first opportunity at new WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Santos Escobar vs LA Knight vs Bobby Lashley; Rey Mysterio vs Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles

Give me Styles vs Cody... Bullet Club Leader vs Bullet Club Leader.

I know they haven't used Kross well, at all, since re-signing him and Bobby has been on ice for a while (for some stupid reason they never had him feud with Paul or Reigns), yet I was hoping either one would get the first shot at Cody.

I get that that would be a huge letdown coming off the hottest angle in a decade, but I'm weird like that.

Maybe I have more in common with Tony 'Booking Random Title Defenses on TV' Kahn after all?
