Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
Funny thing I just heard.
USA Network is coming to Canada, starting in January.
About 19 years too late for that.....
They probably got a good/cheaper deal to bring it here because Raw is no longer airing on it.
Although, SD is on USA, but SD also airs on Netflix here so I wonder if they'll still have SD on TV here.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
So they taped Smackdown this week, last Friday. Meaning it was BEFORE SNME, so the post show angle makes sense. Cody can't appear because he's injured, and they can "suspend" KO for his actions keeping him off the show. Still strange, they just didn't do a double taping this week instead of last week.Comment

How do you do a double taping when the weekend in-between those two shows is a televised/live event.
Do a double taping on the 20th so you get that and the 27th covered.
Raw this week I believe is a double taping as well, so they could've gotten all double tapings out of the week this upcoming week.
I wonder if they're even planning on doing another "best of the year" special like last year.
Raw on the 23rd especially, and likely SD on the 27th I don't anticipate being real watched shows. Might as well add filler stuff in like best of the year show or slammys which would make sense given they're trying to bring back some old school stuff.Comment

If he doesn't compete then at the very least they'll probably have him show up and cut a promo just so he still appears.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
New Raw logo officially unveiled.
Better than the rumored one people posted a few weeks back.
Although it is weird is the RAW part is silver instead of red. Wonder if they'll change the arena setup in any way. Bring back the red ropes?Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
"That's a fact Phil!"
He means business
Rollins summing up current WWE.
"Common interests don't make friendships"
Going in depth about why he won't side with Drew just because they both hate CM Punk, but says he doesn't like Drew because Drew hates the OG Bloodline which includes Jey and Sami, but those two at least are friends of Rollins despite what Rollins thinks of them teaming with Roman. There's so many layers to it.Last edited by Majingir; 12-16-2024, 09:08 PM.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
About time the Judgment Day lost the titles. There was 0 plan with the titles since they won it, hopefully with the Viking Experience....War Raiders, they can have some good feuds. If they're staying on Raw, maybe American Made feuds with them?Given its a double taping, would be funny if next week they're still wandering the bulding in the exact same clothes looking for a room.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
Apparently a reason WWE isn't hyping up that January 3rd Smackdown is because it might not actually air on Netflix in many countries.
January 6th might be the actual start date of the Netflix deal.
Smackdown could air on YouTube (for free) internationally for that one show since all other tv deals are dead as of Jan 1.
Also, SNME got about 1.5m viewers plus another 700k from Peacock. Almost as many tv viewers as Thunder vs Rockets. Not a bad number for them on a Saturday night on primetime network tv. It's probably why NBC is doing more SNMEs. Don't think they'd really have anything else to show on a Saturday night that would bring in anywhere close to over 2m viewers between tv and streaming.Last edited by Majingir; 12-17-2024, 02:36 PM.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
WWE confirms 3 hour SDs starting in 2025 and 3 hour Raws are back.
Commercial free, this will absolutely be overkill. I don't care how good the product is, 3 hour shows twice a week every week will feel like way too much.Comment
