In retrospect Sami and Cody were just speed bumps along the Bloodline story and they navigated them pretty well, all things considered.

I think it'll always go down as a deflating WM ending on its own, but Cody had to be sacrificed for the bigger Jey redemption story.

I wasn't upset at the time and still don't have a problem with the decision. I laugh every time I see the IWC acting like it was some huge L or all time fail to not put the title on Cody at Mania. IWC would have turned on him by Survivor Series if he'd won that belt for starters. Beyond that, the Bloodline implosion absolutely HAD to have Roman keep the titles in order to happen unless the original WM plans of The Rock coming back went through and took them at that point.

The entire point of the story and the point of Roman being able to do what he does hinges on the fact that he's the one with the titles and "keeping the family relevant" by continuing to be champion, but he's only keeping them because the Bloodline keeps interfering. He's little by little lost that invulnerability as he's alienated the Bloodline and it's all going to come crashing down and ultimately cost him what he values most. Those titles.

They've done a brilliant job with this story and I think it shows that Vince hasn't been as involved as some dirt sheets tries to make it seem, because I don't think this story plays out the way it has the last year if Vince never loses control of creative the way he did.

This is what I keep trying to tell people too. Cause people always talk about how they're tired of all the interference on his behalf and how it "makes him look weak." But the interference IS THE POINT. Without them coming to save his skin all the time so he can brag about how he's "keeping the family relevant" means he's nothing without them and those titles.

The Bloodline has to implode before he loses those titles, because he'll have no one left to protect him and that's when he's most vulnerable. It's been so fun watching this story unfold for the last 3 years.

I easily think they can pivot the story back in Cody's direction once the Bloodline is fully over.

As much as I like Jey and Jimmy Uso, neither guy screams "next man up"/"face of the company" to me.

It'll interesting in the coming months to see how everything plays out and who FINALLY dethrones Roman.

Based on how they’ve set the story up? It has to be Jey. Solo’s a close second choice.

I don't see Solo taking the title.

If/when Jey wins, I think it happens because of Solo though.

I can picture a moment where Reigns and Jey are in the ring and they fight over possession of the chair, it goes flying towards Solo, Reigns thinks he's getting the chair handed to him from Solo only for Solo to toss it past Reigns and to Jey.

I just can't see it, but you could be right. I'd be happy either way, yet I would prefer the Usos staying a team and Cody taking the strap off Roman.

This Raw has been pretty fantastic so far.

I can’t get over that promo Logan gave. It’s not like the content of it was mind blowing but the sheer comfort/confidence and ease he gave it is insane. I don’t care how much coaching he gets from HBK, dude is like someone made a sports entertainer in a lab.

I really really want both Finn and Priest to win. That dynamic would be fun to watch. But there’s no way WWE passes up on the publicity of Logan carrying around the briefcase to public events for a year right?

Not that I think he'll ever beat Reigns or Rollins and suddenly become the top guy, but how do you not make him a way bigger part of the show?
