    Big Name Taking Time Off

Can I revive this section temporarily?

John Cena has asked for time off and will miss pretty much the rest of this year after Hell in a Cell.

If WWE thought ratings are bad now wait til the ratings come in on the shows Cena misses.
    Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Never let fear determine who you are. Never let where you came from determine where you are going.

I wouldn't think he would miss SS though

Just saw a blurb trending in Facebook that Cena will be back on Dec. 26th to "DEFEND" his US Title against Sheamus at MSG.

I swear, if Cena doesn't lose the title on HIAC and keeps it during 2 month hiatus that will be one of the most ridiculous things WWE has ever done.

Was going to post this in the spoilers section but decided against it after doing some research. MSG is marketing this and there is nothing from any sites when I did some Googling. So he could still lose the belt this week end and then come back to face Sheamus at that MSG house show. The only things I could find about it were the facebook thing and an article on whatculture.com (http://whatculture.com/wwe/john-cena...h-revealed.php). And he literally has no source in the article. Looked at the MSG page and all it said was the match was for the championship. Didn't say that Cena was defending it. I think it's just MSG trying to sell out the event quickly so that way when Cena is shown on TV that he is leaving with an "injury" they will already have sold some tickets.

And the card is always subject to change. Look at HIAC, Orton and Ambrose vs. Harper and Stroman. Taken off the card 6 days before the PPV starts because Orton is "hurt". (used quotes because I don't know if it's a true injury or not).

Yeah, I hope its just one of those things that is used for advertisement purposes.

Also Orton is actually hurt. He dislocated his shoulder taking the garbage out. lol

Wow didn't know that about Orton, that's hilarious. And it probably is for marketing purposes as Cena is probably the most marketable person in the company. Any event where you say he isn't going to be there is going to take a hit.
