I don't mind the 2 Batistas,2 Ortons,2 Jerichos and stuff, but there is literally no difference between 2014 Del Rio and the other Del Rio(I'm guessing 2011?).

Based on that roster, the ones I think are missing(not including ones who are in DLC):
Rose
Otunga
Los Matadores
Great Khali
Slater
Hornswoggle
Sin Cara
Stardust(unless they have alternate attire for Rhodes)
Ryder

So not real bad in terms of the list of who they forgot since it's names people prob won't care about(Stardust is only one they prob will). Though surprised to see Gabriel on the roster over Ryder. I'm prob only person who would've wanted Adam Rose on the game lol.

Surprised Slater is NOT in the game for sure.
Otunga hasn't been around or done anything in either WWE or NXT forever so not surprised he didn't make the cut
Los Matadors are a little of a surprise as well
Khali and Rose are downloadable but yeah they should probably be main roster
Ryder is a slightly surprising as well
Hornswoggle would be worthless IMO
Sin Cara kind of goes either way, he wasn't doing much in either place at the time of development but with that they had found some way to get the Lucha Dragons in the game.
The Stardust persona might be a different attire. They said their time for art being in was beginning of August so maybe since he débuted well before that as Stardust he might make it as a secondary attire (I can dream right)

last year i seem to remember people squawking about how there were too many legends and duplicates and not enough guys for the current roster, now we get a very solid current roster with a few missing names and very few on disc legends and duplicates and people are upset, sure I'm bummed some active guys in WWE and NXT missed the cut but im actually happy the legends are tied to DLC so it doesnt create uneeded clutter on my universe, I can't figure out how Rose missed the on disc roster when him and Bo Dallas debuted around the same time

I'm going to hazard a guess and say your under 25? Not that it matters , but it's no secret wrestling STINKS today. That's why some are upset that the true greats should always be In this game.

Taking it further, the big incentive was Sting. Awesome right? But there's no NWO to pair him against. So after one or two uses, he's renderd useless in the game.

And I know all you young guys are high on these NXT guys. But nobody could say they wanted Rusev over Goldberg, or Hall, or bRet Hart, etc etc.

And trust me, you'll be complaining in 20 years that The NXT guys should be included as legends on wwe2k28....

I'll say that every day of the week. I'm 29 for what it's worth. We've had legends in the game for years, and major modes dedicated to them over the last two games. For me, it's "been there, done that" in these games when it comes to the legends.

I hear ya man, I just don't see it. I guess my eras I was spoiled how great it was. But I'll never see any reedeming qualities in any of these new guys. Coupled with the pg stuff, just ugh....

I don't know what your era was, but I'm pretty sure it was PG too. I don't want to get too off-topic here, but the problem today is that the characters are severely lacking. The in-ring product itself today is far and away the best its ever been.

I'm not opposed to legends in these games, not at all. I'll just always be more drawn to new characters (current, NXT, or even new legends) and experiences to play as instead of playing as the same old guys game after game. Take the Warrior DLC for example. I'm psyched to play these old Summerslams and everything else. Couldn't care less about playing WrestleMania 6 vs. Hogan AGAIN.

Big turnoff for this game. But won't jump the gun yet as this is last gen roster, hope PS4 and XB1 has a better roster.

Both have the exact same roster so I guess you will be disappointed there two. Plus they can't put the attires in the same slot because some of the wrestlers models are different entirely .

Remember when Legends of Wrestlemania came out and you could import wwe09 into it? They should do the same but the opposite way. Just have a new legends game that puts tons of legends in it and a current WWE game that puts way more current stars into it and if people want to import them let them. Why short change both sides to accommodate both? Or just give us all the tools to create legends that look as good as the in game superstars.

I actually asked Cory Ledesma when WWE 13 was coming out, why waste slots on the same superstar but different era, just put it as an alternate attire.

His reasoning was so bs, he was like its easier for them to do that, that way. One year later 2K14 they did where u just have 1 slot and different eras were just different attire choice.

Happy Cory's gone from the dev team.

So I've confirmed this with a source withing 2k/yukes:

Retro Hogan is DLC for last gen/current gen with the 2k Showcase.

Hollywood Hogan and Hulkamania (current) Hogan are exclusive to the Hogan Special Edition Current Gen game.

As I posted on page three, classic Hogan IS downloadable as part of the Warrior storyline which IS available for both gens.

I love how for the past 2 years all everyone did was complain about the lack of current day talent on the roster because of the Attitude Era guys and then legends for 2K14. Now they give you a pretty comprehensive roster with current guys and now you all want legends. While I do think its annoying they give multiple roster spots to alternate models especially the Del Rio one when he barley changed his attire or anything between 2011 and this year. Honestly Id much rather get CAWS online some of them do come out great especially after the legend faces in 13 and 2K14 looked way too cartoonish

I'm 30 and watched as a kid and teen during the late 80's all the way through 2002 and I completely disagree. Though legends would be nice, I'd be all for a game of current wrestlers or even a stand alone NXT game. The writing and segments might not be up to par with the past (which I have a hard time saying that since I feel much of the past is idealized) but the actual wrestling is incredible right now.
