Hmmm, I never said I was an expert at all. The cut scenes can't simply be put ONLY by rivalries being set because you can only have 3 rivals per show. Just figured that because it was set like that in the past few games that it would the same.

You stated an opinion based on past experiences with past games without qualifiers.

You didn't have to respond. You chose to and stated your theory without the obvious disclaimer of "I haven't actually seen this happen in my game this year."

If only someone had made a clever mnemonic about assuming, I'd be all set in this retort.

NXT is up fellas. Two debuts, and a shocking turn to the main event.

                Re: WWE 2K16 Universe Mode

Does anyone know if there's a way to turn off the automatic rope break for normal matches in Universe mode? If I change the options outside of Universe and go into a match, only a difficulty level change will stick and none of the others. And as far as I can tell there's no options set inside of Universe to change.

I'd like to be able to turn it off for a couple reasons. 1) Successful submissions don't happen enough as it is, and it's just another way to escape them. 2) Certain pin-combo finishers have a bad habit of landing in the ropes. Taker's Tombstone is probably the most notable example - if he does it anywhere but the center the opponents' feet usually end up causing an instant rope break.

Turning this off doesn't invalidate the rope break ability to escape a pin (they can still grab it and stop the count).

                  Re: WWE 2K16 Universe Mode

I've been making characters for my fictional universe and I have 10 guys so far:

"Dangerous" Walton Black. Wears protective black mask, black tights, and has a half-shaved head with long black hair and red highlights. Heel with a bad attitude and a penchant for hurting people. Finisher is a Backslide Driver.

"Super Smooth" Casey Osbourne. Fan favourite high flyer and a skilled martial artist. Heavily tatted, has a short samurai-style haircut, wears black jeans, a black tank, and black arm sleeves. Finisher is a Rolling Senton off the top rope.

"Big Nasty" Bobby Morgan. My universe's resident lumberjack character. Hard nosed good guy wrestler who specializes in hardcore matches and isn't afraid to put his body on the line to win a match. Big bodied, muscular, and wears plaid and jeans. Finisher is the End of Days and a reverse STO.

Dirk Strangle. A tough amateur wrestling based grappler who specializes in dirty moves and getting the cheap upper hand my any means necessary. He sports an old school singlet, Jordan wrestling shoes, and tube socks, as well as protective head gear. His finisher is, you guessed it, a strangle hold submission.

El Gato Hombre. The perennial jobber of my universe, El Gato Hombre is a man dressed in a tight leather suit with a black mask and cat ears attached on top.

The Silverback. A big man dressed in a gorilla suit who is set to run roughshod on the entire roster. Finisher is a Gorilla Press and a Military Press Spinebuster.

Cole Williams and Earl Lawrence. Two young athletic wrestlers from Hollywood, California who love money, girls, and gold. Their attires feature green tights and trunks.

Henry and Luke Wright. Two old country German brothers who wear the old school coveralls, high tube socks, boots, and white shirts underneath.

I still need a faction or two, as well as other singles competitors, but I'm almost set.

If you're into that kind of thing, I suggest that you check out the last two matches from this week's episode of NXT, as I was losing my entire schizz a couple of times near the end.

                      Re: WWE 2K16 Universe Mode

Restarted my universe for the third time, this time I decided that I wanted to do a what if the Monday night wars were going on now type of thing. So I downloaded a Nitro and thunder Arena and brought back WCW, How I decided to go about it was download a bunch of TNA, ROH, and Lucha Underground Caws and do something like they had one person purchase all three together to form an elite wrestling company. I'm having it be Shane McMahon and his business partner Sting. I'm eliminating NXT as much as that hurts cuz I love it so much, but guys are deciding whether to stay with WWE or go to WCW and start over fresh. Each brand will have two show raw/smackdown and Nitro/Thunder with multiple titles being spread throughout and each will have a pay per view each month.

Where it gets fun for me on a personal basis is I have a 20 sided dice and that is how I'm going to do contracts. One of my favorite things from the wars era was that guys would show up randomly on each show because contracts were a lot shorter. Whatever number I roll is how many months they will be with the brand and once a contract expires ill roll it again if its even they stay, if its odd they leave and sign for that many months. This should be a fun way to keep things intersting

This is a really interesting idea. I don't have the game yet (still debating), but I'm playing out scenarios in my mind that would allow me to have more fun with Universe Mode. In the past, it would become stale after a WWE calendar month, but having ideas like this is a cool way to make it entertaining.

Is there anyone out there that uses CAW, but also doesn't use Legends or past stars in their Universe Mode? Seems like everyone is doing 'Attitude Era'.

I use both CAW's and current rosters for my Universe mode. Speaking of, my Smackdown episode went up today. Go check it out and if you want to get caught up feel free!

Mine isn't Attitude Era, mine is a multi-verse/comic book inspired universe where guys from different eras and eventually different worlds will collide.
