Turning off automatic rivalries seems to have helped.

So if you do rivalries by yourself you get cutscenes for CAW vs CAW?

So far it seems to be the case. I set up the rivalries manually and I'm getting cut scenes for all CAWs promotion. Only 2 weeks in so who knows long term but so far, so good.

Hey everyone, I'm new to these forums, WWE2k16 and to WWE in general pretty much so I'd love some of yalls opinions on my plans for my universe. Just to preface this, I just got into WWE about 6 months ago after my boyfriend got me to watch a few consecutive episodes of Raw and Smackdown. Before that, I had watched very sporadically but didn't really know who anyone was. I'm still not familiar with every wrestler and definitely not familiar with many storylines/allies/rivals so I've tried my best to make my universe relatively realistic to the best of my limited knowledge. So my plan is to basically to a brand split. Raw and Smackdown will be main roster men only with the more main event type guys on Raw (Rollins, Cena, Lesnar, Orton, Bryan, etc.) and some more international/mid-card guys on Smackdown (League of Nations, Lucha Dragons, newer guys, etc). NXT will be a (mostly) current roster that is mostly CAWs, both male and female. I also plan on having a women only show with all the current main roster female wrestlers as well as some retired/inactive women (although in my universe they will still be called divas due to my lack of interest in creating a bunch of new titles/logos and just wanting to use stuff the game already has). Raw and Smackdown have about 30 guys each, with both Sting and Undertaker able to appear on both (although they aren't eligible for any titles). Divas show has about 30 wrestlers, and NXT has about 30 men and 15 women. Also, I have two minor shows that Raw and Smackdown share. Titles are as follows:
WWE World Heavyweight is major title for both Raw and Smackdown. Tag title is also shared between those two shows. Raw has US champ and Smackdown has Intercontinental. NXT has NXT champ, tag, divas, and a singles title I haven't come up with yet. Divas have Divas championship for the major, women's championship for singles (although the game forces me to put it in the diva's title slot and won't let me place it in the single's title slot) and a tag title. Raw and SD share a PPV every month, NXT and Divas both have their own separate PPVs once a month also for a total of 3 PPVs a month. I plan on letting the game book every match, automate rivalries, and simulate all the matches. I plan on watching the matches and using this whole thing to practice my creative writing skills after being inspired to get back to writing from seeing how creative people can get with their universes. Basically at the moment this is how my universe is set up, I'm currently doing a test run to see how well the game creates matches, etc with this set up. I plan on doing another test run with a slightly different set up that has raw and Smackdown as completely separated (with the exception of sting and undertaker who will still be on both) then I'll pick one/tweak it to my liking and just let it play out. I'll use the game's seemingly random choices to practice writing, as throwing a wrench in my plans would actually be a good thing in that case. I would love to hear yalls opinions on my plans and what you think I should change, what works, etc. Any opinions would be great! I've put a lot of work into the set up so far, including using an excel worksheet that I plan to keep track of everything with, I've downloaded over 65 CAWs to get a decent sized NXT roster and I've tried to split things up very equally. Like I said, I don't know much about WWE, I'm still super new to all of it, but I really love it and I'm super excited to start what seems like is going to be a pretty big creative writing project! Thanks to anyone who responds and thanks to everyone posting their universes, they're really fun to read and actually have really inspired this whole idea

Can't wait for 2K17. I just can't get into the game anymore this year, and I really want to play. Universe and Career need upgrading.

I tried a few days ago to do universe mode without rivalries at all, just making them in my head, turns out to be so much more fun that way, really brought me back into the game. Maybe you should try it out, just booking RAW or whatever show you're running as you wish.
Also, who said that 2k17 will have upgraded universe mode?

I already do that I have done that ever since universe began. I don't let the game dictate anything really, just got tiresome on the brain.

Started posting shows again, in a much different format just to get through a few things. I had gotten burned out but needed to do something recently to get my mind off of some things. Not sure how far I will go with it, but it wont be as detailed as far as match details and will focus more on storyline items.
