Yeah that's my plan too. I may do some testing in Universe mode as well. Plus i gotta make my shows and stuff so that'll take time. But man Mafia 3 and WWE within days of each other....RIP my wallet!

It's a game that allows a lot of creativity and it's been fun thinking up things I want to do with my universe. Will be using one save for current wwe/custom show and another for classic wwe/wcw it's nice being able to run them separate.
I have my rankings, custom music, random events set like I've posted about and can't wait for the release.

Hey guys! Looking for a little help. I am wondering if someone can help explain how universe mode works or if there is a site? I had tried it last year but was confused. Basically I tried simming my shows for a few weeks and nothing happens like cut scenes and stuff. Do I have to actually watch/play to see this stuff or will simming stuff work? Sorry if this has been explained in this thread already!

As you've seen, if you sim you don't get cutscenes.

Universe is...I don't know exactly how to describe it. It's kind of a "see what the CPU puts together" and "create your own show" at the same time. You can set up shows and brands, and either set rivalries (3 per show) or let the CPU do that. Then week to week there will be some cutscenes to advance the story until it ends at a PPV.

Actually, this trailer from Smackdown vs Raw 2011 is still true for a lot of what Universe is. The biggest difference lately is customization in what specific shows you schedule, but the mechanics of the mode are largely the same.

Honestly, having the CPU automate a lot of this while also being able to change it yourself leads to a lot of odd glitches because you end up editing something the computer set up and it doesn't know how to compensate for.

This will be my first time doing Universe Mode and putting it up on my YouTube channel (just started).

I've already done a brand split and created the roster using a number system and random.org...I'm doing a Raw and Smackdown for sure with current day stars, planning to add some surprises in every once in a while as well as add the DLC and CAWs that the community comes up with. I want to do NXT but need to see how the roster shapes out to carry it's own show, I'm sure it'll happen.

I'm going to have two PPVs every month, one for each show (aside from the Big Four and MITB). First month has been written and planned out. A three week build for Smackdown heading into Elimination Chamber. For Raw, a four week build into Extreme Rules, with the new Universal title having an eight man tournament to headline the PPV for the title.

I will be posting a draft video with the results of 20 drafted members to each show, so if this interests you guys feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. Very excited for this year of 2K!

-Yes, you can split the rosters any time you'd like. I'd wait til after a PPV to give yourself a clean slate to start with...unless you want to do it kinda like they did in real life.

-You are only required one PPV per month, so yeah, you can do one per month and switch up the shows that host them.

-You can definitely keep belts exclusive to shows. Lots of people would do the WWE title on Raw and World Heavyweight title on SD like they used to.

-You can add in CAWs whenever you want. Just download them, then add them to a show and go.

-You have complete customization for what shows happen on what day and you can create shows, create PPVs, and customize them however you want.

I'm Gonna have a few more days to think about my universe as i'm getting 2k17 when i get my xbox one at the end of the month (i have a ps4 and a gaming pc but i'm greedy so oh well)

i think i'm going to be doing the modern wwe although i know you can have 3 separate universe modes

and the Smackdown main rivalry
Cesaro vs AJ Styles (WWE Championship)


as for roster members they will be slightly different but i don't think they will differ too much
