OFFICIAL: CPU VS. CPU sumission thread

so first thing ive done with the game is see if cpu vs cpu matches work better this year and its a lil early, but by using my re rates and sliders from last year and tinkering with the submission rates I have this.....

7-10 matches ended in finisher submissions...

    I used nattie and emma..

they all ended in a finisher submission by emma or nattie except 3

1 ended due to nattie fighting out of muta lock and the other 2 nattie wont with natty by nature..

ill test a bit more, but this looks much better then last year
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
so here the sliders im testing on and the attributes for emma and Natalya, game must be on normal and matches at normal.
    here are the sliders first.....

with these two girls both their submissions are tech, so that you never see them win with a regular submission hold like bow and arrow or whatever change in their move sets all their submissions in the hold section to power submissions, that way the only winning submission you will see is their finisher.btw if they have resiliency I take it off cause that can change things, also if you make any of the run in sliders higher im sure that will impact the match some, I haven't tested run ins yet

Do they still not happen normally without editing ratings? Been my biggest disappointment in the gameplay over the last two years.

If you change the submission mini game to the button-mashing one, matches ending in submission finishers appears to occur more often in cpu vs cpu matches. Even w/ the default attributes.

Yeah I didn't touch sliders and saw a few tap outs. Most notably was Cena tapping to Brock's Kimura Lock. Happened pretty quickly and actually caught me by surprise.

Now I'm interested. Can you confirm that this was in a normal match and not a submission match? Last year sub matches operated on a different paradigm from normal matches, and subs would happen in those (almost too quickly). But they were nonexistent in normal matches without editing.

Thanks in advance. Great news if the mash method actually has an effect on CPU matches. Might pick up the game later once the price drops.

It was a regular match, but I do think it was after I switched to button pressing for submission.

the button mashing might work for cpu vs cpu, but I change submission values too so someone like brock doesn't win by a random bow and arrow or what have you

I do plan on changing everyone's attributes whenever I get the time but as of right now i'm using the default attributes and so far I haven't seen a match end w/ a submission move that wasn't a finisher yet.

Well let me ask how often do WWE matches end with submissions that are not signatures or finishers?

Yeah. It's not that we want normal subs to end matches - the problem was that finisher submissions didn't end CPU matches (and apparently still don't with the analog sub mini game). And it zaps the immersion when Bret Hart can never end a match with a Sharpshooter, for example. But if the alternate method does cause the CPU to tap out even without editing, that's a big deal.
