Re: The Little Fella- The life of a Baseball Player

    Hello,
I'm Marc James, I guess you can call me the "Little Fella". It's no joke, I am 5'10 and 150 pounds. I am a Pitcher for East Hamilton High School in Chattanooga, TN. I am NOT the type of guy who gets looked at by scouts every game. My dream is to play for the Atlanta Braves. I will have to wait a couple years as I will be going to Tennessee University. The State Championship is coming up, and we are playing The CSAS Patriots... It makes me mad that we are playing a team that...A) I went there as a kid (its K-12) and B) They are also in Chattanooga. I am the scheduled starter!

Re: The Little Fella- The life of a Baseball Player

Today is the day. The day I pitch to try to win EH's 1st State Championship. I am focused. Remember when I told you I didn't get looked at by scouts? Well, today is different. Scouts will be swarming all the players.

          TWO HOURS LATER

It's Here. I just arrived at the ballpark. I walked into the team's dugout. Coach asked how my arm was.

          "Fine" I said.

"Ok" He replied "Don't wear it out"

I went to the bullpen to find my best friend, Chris Higgens, Our catcher. He was a junior. He was almost better then anyone else.

"Let's get this started" he said putting his mask on.

          Then I blazed a 90 MPH Fastball.

"You're ready" he said after a couple pitches.

I walked to the mound very slowly.

          "PLAY BALL" Yelled the ump.

          I was ready.

I've gone with a No-No until the 5th. I had a shutout going until the eighth. I was done. Coach came in and we both said the same thing...done.

I paced around the dugout. One out away from a combined shutout. The victory, the championship.

STEERIKE THREE! WE WON! It was over, I got the win.

            wait...how is 5'10" small???

            I'm 5'11"...am I small?

either way, good job with this. But next time you call someone "Little", you better make sure they're actually tiny, and not average...haha.

And good choice not making manny's son your character--you're right, it would've been way too hard, especially because manny's only like 35 or something.....it'd be like the sporty, male version of gilmore girls.
