John Pitucci has been assigned to the Midland Rockhounds in AA and has signed a 2YR, $70,000 contract.
"I was a little dissapointed of John's play in spring training, especially the number of strikeouts. We have decided to send him to our AA Midland team in Texas to hone his plate discipline. John will be apart of our organization in the future and if he goes through with the attitude and the work ethic he has shown, I have no doubt in my mind he will be the future of the Oakland Athletics." - Lewis Wolff, Oakland A's Owner
