Beyond the Fame: The Story of Will Hughes

I have always done some sort of franchise on Dynasty Manager, but it was just this year that I found the great fun of Road to the Show. I thought it would be fun to create a random guy and go through a career that will hopefully lead to some great reading (I'm a fiction writer in my spare time anyways). I've created a random guy using a name generator, and now I'm going to show you the results, no matter how good or bad they might be.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

William Scot Hughes was born on September 27th, 1988 to Michael and Joan Hughes in Los Angeles, California. At the age of three, his father died in a tragic boating accident in the Pacific Ocean, forcing Will and his mother to move to Mauldin, South Carolina where Joan was raised. Joan took two jobs to support her three sons. Because of this, Will took on many after school programs to keep of the streets. At Mauldin High School, Hughes became a standout second baseman leading the team in many offensive statistical categories in his junior and senior year. Hughes played starting second base at the University of South Carolina until 2009, helping the Gamecocks to the NCAA DI Baseball tournament.

    Vital Statistics
    Name: William (Will) Scot Hughes
    Birthday: September 27th, 1988 (21)
    Height: 6' 3"
    Weight: 190 lbs
    Throws: Right
    Bats: Switch
    Position: Second Baseman/ Utility Infielder
Favorite Food: Chicken Strips w/ Honey Mustard Sauce

Late in the 2010 MLB Rookie Draft, Will Hughes was drafted by the Texas Rangers and placed in the Frisco RoughRiders lineup. The move received little press, and was somewhat of a shock because of the powerful Ian Kinsler in the Major Leagues. Still, the Rangers had a weapon to use if they wanted to trade up, and they feel that Hughes could be a solid hitter in the Major League level. (Also, I did draft him and not simply chose the Texas Rangers. I swear it).

    Current goals:

    Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks
