July 13th Game @ Birmingham
My first at bat I got trigger happy with guys on 1st and 2nd and popped up to the first baseman in foul territory. My 2nd at bat made up for it with guys on 1st and 2nd again I hit a 2RBI double to Left Center! Not only 2 RBIs but extended my hitting streak to 8 games! My 3rd at bat was again with guys on 1st and 2nd but this time I hit a hard liner right at the right fielder. My 4th at bat was a leadoff walk in the top of the 8th. We won 5-4.
July 14th Game @ Birmingham
My first at bat was a line drive that the Left Fielder got to but I got pay back with a base hit in my second at bat to extend my hitting streak to 9 games! I got struck out in my 3rd at bat, but I lead off the 9th with a base hit to center. Despite getting on we lost the game 2-0.
July 15th Game @ Birmingham
In my first at bat I extended my hit streak to 10 games with a base hit up the middle. My second at bat I got way under and popped up to the first baseman. In my 3rd at bat I hit a slow chopper and it was hard enough to turn a 6-4-3 double play. I righted the ship with a 1 out base hit in my next at bat. In the Top of the 9th I hit a long Fly, the Crowd went nuts they thought it was out, I thought it was out, the pitcher thought it was out…. The Left Fielder didn’t agree and grabbed it robbing me of at least extra bases!
I found out after the game that the club had traded SS Osvaldo Martinez and RP Burke Badenhop for RF Brennan Boesch and CF Daniel Fields…. Looks like I have some more competition at Center.
July 17th Game @ Birmingham
I led off the game with a ground out to the 2nd baseman. In the 2nd inning I canned a guy going for 3rd on a tag! In the 3rd Inning I completed a goal and hit a SOLO HOMER DEEP over the left field wall, 376 feet! Extends my hitting streak to 11 games also! My 3rd at bat was a can of corn fly out to the Center Fielder. My fourth at bat showed me I need to hit the weight room some more with warning track power to center again. Unfortunately for me my 4th at bat was a screaming 1 hopper right at the 2nd baseman in which he turned a routine double play. We won 5-2
July 18th Game @ Birmingham
2 GAMES IN A ROW! In the 2nd inning I hit an even bigger bomb to left field this time it was a 2 run homer. 383 feet over the wall and put us down 1 in the bottom of the 2nd…. Oh Did I mention that is 12 straight games with a hit? My next at bat was less impressive with a ground out to short. I rolled over in my next at bat with a grounder to the 3rd baseman. I guess its all or nothing today, another ground out to short in the ninth is how I ended my day. We lost 8-4.
After the game I got told that I jumped Alex Romero on the Team Depth Chart at Center Field. Next up is Kevin Mattison who is on the DL right now. I am now rated the 16th best player on the Double A team with one of the 15 ahead of me being on the DL (Mattison)
