Re: Barry Powers: The Wonder from Down Under (RTTS)
5 Game Series at Chattanooga Lookouts
(16th - 20th of May 2015)
Game One:
"That one is SMOKED! Number 14 for Barry Powers!"
Game Two:
Barry Powers is starting to look a little tried out there, as his batting average is taking a dip over the month of May. Lucky the coach rests him every 3-4 games....
Biscuits lost 2 - 7
Game Three:
"Powers shows his speed on that infield hit, it was only just to the right side of shortstop but he beat the throw out by about 2 meters!"
Powers got a few hits in this one but the home run ball seems to be fading a little as the pitchers begin to pitch a lot smarter to him. He is seeing a lot less fastballs high in the strike zone, it's time for Barry to adjust and continue dominating.
Game Four:
"Oh my, oh my! What was that! He seems a little lost at the moment with what he is getting to see when he steps to the plate. That said he is still hitting over 500. I'm sure he will snap outta it."
Game Five:
After his embarrassing 9th innings 3 pitch strikeout to finish a 0 from 4 night, Powers couldn't hide his anger. He busted helmets, broke bats over his knees, throw the coolers, coach told him to stay at home for game 5 and if he did it again he would break a bat over his head. Barry listened and took the advice on.
Biscuits won 6 - 5
Biscuits won the series 3 - 2

Re: Barry Powers: The Wonder from Down Under (RTTS)
5 Game Series vs Tennessee Smokies
(21st - 25th of May 2015)
Game One:
"It's taken 29 Games but that is the closes Barry Powers has been to get a walk as they put him on to load the bases with 2 out."
Game Two:
"Barry Powers runs in to make the catch. His he a great day going 3 from 4 and just needing the homer for the cycle."
Game Three:
It's that time again. Rest day.....
Biscuits win 4 - 5
Game Four:
"Full count again, 9th pitch of the at bat and t's ball 4. That's Barry Powers first walk of the season. The bases are loaded with two away.
With the game tied at 5 apiece in the bottom of the 8th, Barry Powers came to the plate with two on and two out. First thing you think is his going to try and blast this out of the park but Powers is a team player and wanted to show it somehow. He wasn't hitting well tonight but managed to grind out a 9 pitch walk to load the bases. The next up, Emil Ortiz, managed to send the second pitch over the wall and put them in front. He did the team thing by getting on base anyway possible. I hope the managers start to see he is also a team player, even though he can act full of himself most of the times.
Game Five:
"That one managers to find the gap and that's a base hit for Powers."
Biscuits won the series 5 - 0

Re: Barry Powers: The Wonder from Down Under (RTTS)
Because you always seem to have a rest day, have you thought of boosting durability?"It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward"Comment

Re: Barry Powers: The Wonder from Down Under (RTTS)
I think it has a lot to do with the pitchers, Powers waits for the high fastball until he gets two strikes on him then he just swings to protect the plate but I'm very surprised with his numbers as well.Last edited by tlowe77; 05-26-2015, 09:05 PM.Comment
