    BREAKING NEWS!
    Bob Brown has decided to call it quits. The first of the prospects, Brown had a total of 26 games played, in both A and SA. He was originally drafted by the Colorado Rockies, but was released a year later.
    Brown was quoted saying:
    "Yeah, it sucks. I mean if I could, I'd go right back into it. I just couldn't afford the game honestly. I expected to go straight to the MLB, but unfortunately the GM didn't see it that way."

    When asked if He would coach, he replied:
    "Nobody can tell the future, I'm sure I'll be around" as he smiled and walked off.

        Day after Draft Day update (June 7th)

        Vargas was drafted #8 of round 53 (1575 overall) by the Miami Marlins. He currently plays for the Miami (GCL) Marlins and wears #92

        Lerma was released by the Cubs after getting 2 RBI's in 10 games for Chicago N (AZL) Cubs and is currently a free agent.

        Robinson got released by the Nationals after having 2 runs and 6 RBI's for the Washington (GCL) Nationals

        Juan Arellano was drafted #6 in round 2 (40th overall) by the Miami Marlins, the highest so far out of all the prospects. He has yet to sign a contract.

        Carrillo [Rays] is eligible for Arbitration in the off-season. So far he has 3 years (including this year) on the pro roster. In 40 games this season, he has 3 home runs and 17 RBIs.

              After playing 2 years in the A league, Rodriguez has been promoted to the Trenton Thunder (AA).

              Lerma and Robinson both decided to call it quits, and may return in the future as staff.

                    An Expansion on the rise?

                    There has been talks amongst the league of expansion. Anyone can have a team but they must provide a team name to qualify. If accepted, they will go though an expansion draft.

                          Vargas was released by Miami. In 7 games and 10 AB's, he had 4 hits , 2 runs and 2 RBI's.

                          Swift was released by Oakland. He never got a chance to play. Many think it was due to the fact that he is very greedy. Others think that he deserves to be greedy due to his high loyalty. Only time will tell.

                          Chambers was released by Texas. He never got to play.

                          Cruz wasn't drafted, and will return to school

                          Hammad is still a free agent

                          Fierro is 15-9 with 3.78 ERA. in 193 IP, he struck out 96 batters, and has a war of 1.4

                          Rodriguez was called up to the Yankees wearing #28 after getting 6 saves for Trenton in AA. So far in the ML, he's 2-0 with a 5.11 ERA in 12.1 IP. He is at -0.4 WAR.

                          Carrillo is in his 4th ML year with the Rays. He has hit 8 home runs and 30 RBI's in 318 times at bat (100 games)

                          de Cast had a decent year, hitting 2 home runs in 56 AB for the Wilmington Blue Rocks (KAN, A).

                              Carrillo, who spent his career with the Rays, was not offered arbitration by the organization. The Cardinals saw an opportunity and offered him a 1 year $670,000 deal, which Carrillo swooped up with out hesitation. He will wear #59.


                              Vargas has decided to end his career after failing to sign with a team.
