Angels in the Outfield- LA Angels Franchise

So I had a Brewers franchise going and then for some reason my save disappeared. So sadly i’m just gonna do another team i find very intriguing to use and rebuild. So welcome to the Angels franchise, this is a team who has a young Superstar who at times is the best player in baseball. Though will how long does he wanna stay on a team that's not winning rings? So my goal is to give Trout support and show him that he is our guys and he is what we need to win our rings. For the first season i’m gonna post monthly recaps of how the team did. Transactions and stats of the team. Then i’ll slowly start to post series I find interesting and finally i’ll post every series once we’ve become a solid winning team. As well as i will be using the most recent OSFM roster and now you know why I got certain players and my Angels will not start with the injuries they have in real life. So let's get this going!!!

Re: Angels in the Outfield- LA Angels Franchise

My season expectations for this team is to offload a couple guys that aren't in my future plans and try to build our minor league teams and construct some prospects. The club as of now isn’t full of players who have MVP potential but we do have Trout. For our record i hope for the club to stay above .500 and possibly finish around 3rd. My hopes are to get a couple guys around him to protect him in the lineup.

      Team Goals:
      Record: Finish above .500
      Team MVP: Mike Trout
      Dark Horse: Kole Calhoun
      Best Pitcher: Garret Richards

Some topics we must deal with this season are the following:
•Albert Pujols and his contract: I don't mind holding onto him for a year if he’s struggling and end up DFA him. Though if he is hitting i’m definitely going to try to offload him to a team even if we aren’t getting what his value was when we signed him.

•The Starting pitching: As of now we have a lot of decent starters such as Weaver, Skaggs, Nolasco, Shoemaker, Chacin, Wilson and Richards. So we may try to trade a few off for a ace or another bat.

•This season we also need to look to build through the 2016 MLB draft and try to get depth in the organization. Positions we are gonna look for are: C, 1B, 2B, LF and relief pitching.

•Finally, a first baseman: Pujols was our 1B but he’s now our DH. Guys who may get a shoot at 1B are Choi, Cron and possibly Marte. During Spring Training we will find that man.

After much discussion the Angels have submitted their opening day roster. Players such as Ricky Nolasco was optioned down and put on waivers and even though Nava had a great spring he was optioned down in favor of 31 year old center fielder Quintin Berry. As well as it was announced that the Garret Richards will be the #1 pitcher and pitch opening day.

The official opening day roster is the following:
