Rebuilding The Marlins-An MLB The Show Franchise

    Marlins' Banner.jpg

Welcome To Rebuilding The Marlins-An MLB The Show Franchise

It is a new day in Miami as the Marlins have a new general manager, me! Marlins' owner, Jeffrey Loria, and Marlins' president of baseball operations, Michael Hill, have brought me on to help lead this team in a new but much needed direction, the dreaded rebuild. I will be tasked with leading the team through the rebuild process and hopefully back to contender status.

"It is our goal with this rebuild to ship out some of our older veteran players in favor of younger players and prospects. What we hope to accomplish is to build a new young core which can come to grow together and blossom into a contender caliber team. Players that could potentially be dealt away are either high priced players, veteran players, or both such as Martin Prado, Wei-Yin Chen, A.J. Ramos, Justin Your, and Dee Gordon to simply name a few. Although we will listen to offers on players such as Ozuna, Yelich, and even Stanton."-GM's statement on state of the Marlins' and their potential rebuild

Re: Rebuilding The Marlins-An MLB The Show Franchise

    General Information

My strategy in all this will be based on making solid drafting, smart trades, and smart free agency signings. I will try my best to keep trades and free agent signings as realistic as possible. I will play every game starting at the start of the 2017 Regular Season and am planning on carrying this franchise from MLB The Show 17 over into future MLB The Show video games. I have left on the ability to be fired and/or change teams during the course of your career so that it adds to the realism but don't foresee that happening. The only way I change teams is should I get fired and again I don't foresee that happening. Should I got fired I would likely just end this dynasty and create a new one.

    Settings:

Rosters:OSFM Base Hybrid w/ Draft Picks (OSFM Hybrid v1 roster with 2017 draft picks, a roster created by me for my use in franchise mode)
    Hitting/Baserunning Difficulty:Veteran
    Pitching Difficulty:All-Star
    Fielding Difficulty:Veteran
    Starting Date:2017 Spring Training

How Often Will I Provide Updates:

I will start off by listing the team's history below in a post below. Next I will do a coaching staff and free agency recap posts. Then I will do a Spring Training preview/post which will consist of my team's Spring Training roster and schedule. I will be playing just a few Spring Training games in order to get a feel for the team, will sim the rest of Spring Training in 2017, and then will be playing all regular season games in 2017 and all Spring Training and regular season games every season after that. I will then post an end of Spring Training recap. Then I will do a start of 2017 Regular season update which will consist of things such as start of Regular Season Power Rankings and my MLB, Triple-A, and Double-A rosters plus the team's 2017 Regular Season schedule. Will also post updates relating to any potential trades I make and any major computer controlled team trades made throughout the season. Once I start playing regular season games I will post updates every week of the season which will consists of things such as updated standings (both divisional and wildcard) and stats (league leaders, award frontrunners, All-Star game voting, etc.). Again I will have separate/individual posts for all major trades, and, I will also have a separate/individual post for the draft which will focusing solely on my team's draft. Finally, there will be a season recap post, playoff series recaps (should we make the playoffs), and lastly posts relating to key offseason signings. Finally, I would like it noted that I will focus mainly/mostly on the Atlanta Braves seeing. as this is a dynasty about them.

May I now present to you my Miami Marlins' Franchise!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Marlins GM being praised for trades with Tigers and Royals as trades appear as win-win for all sides involved. Detroit gets a solid veteran third baseball to add to an already talented and potential playoff caliber roster. Marlins get young promising, native of Florida, third baseman to replace Martin Prado. Royals get a 28 year old, very good second baseman under a team friendly four year roughly $40 million contract. Marlins get a young promising second baseman in return to replace Dee Gordon.

Have decided I will finish playing the final game of Spring Training in February and then will sim all of Spring Training in March till the start of the 2017 regular season. Any injuries that happen to my team during the sim of the rest of Spring Training will be held up and played/used going forth.
