      Dante: 6 IP, 4 K, 0 R, 3 H, W (2-0)

      Game Summary
Dante got his first start of the season and really impressed. He was
able to keep the Yankees off the scoreboard and mostly off the bases,
only allowing 3 hits. He did so with excellent command and keeping most
balls in play on the ground around the infield. On the offensive side of the
field the Melonheads did most of their damage off of the bat of Amir.
He belted two home runs, a 2 run in the first and a 3 run in the fourth.
Alex hit his second home run in as many games and again it didn’t leave
the park. Although this time he split the outfielders and was able to
hustle around the bases. The Yankee pitching committee was able to get
each batter, except Luanne, guessing with 9 total strikeouts.

      Player of the Game:

      Amir Khan

              Manager’s Report: Week 6
Another three weeks are gone and our divisional match-ups are
behind us. Let’s look and see how we did.

Melonheads 13 vs Red Sox 1
              Melonheads 10 vs Yankees 0
Melonheads 14 vs Blue Jays 3

Impressive undefeated start to the season. We’re scoring lots of runs,
and not allowing many at all. Let’s look at how our statistics are.

              Hitting
              Pete: 16-24 (.666), 3 RBI, 10 R, 10 SB, BB, 4 K
              Derek: 11-24 (.458), 2B, HR, 6 RBI, 10 R, 3 SB, BB, 4 K
              Pablo: 18-23 (.782), 4 2B, 3B, 4 HR, 14 RBI, 16 R, 12 SB, 2 BB, 3 K
              Achmed: 14-25 (.560), 3 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 13 RBI, 9 R, 1 SB, 4 K
              Amir: 18-25 (.720), 3 2B, 4 HR, 14 RBI, 7 R, 2 SB, K
              Alex: 14-23 (.608), 2B, 3B, 3 HR, 10 RBI, 9 R, 4 SB, 3 K
              Ernie: 8-21 (.380), 2B, 6 RBI, BB, 5 K
              Luanne: 11-19 (.578), 4 R, 8 SB, BB, 4 K
              Dante: 7-20 (.350), HR, 3 RBI, 4 R, 4 SB, 6 K

              Pitching
              Luanne: 1-0, 11.1 IP, 7 R, 3.70 ERA, 11 H, 8 K
              Ernie: 3-0, 15.1 IP, 4 R, 1.56 ERA, 13 H, 20 K
              Dante: 2-0, 10.1 IP, R, 0.58 ERA, 6 H, 8 K

Our bats cooled off a little bit, but still did some damage. Amir and
Alex really heated up the past three games, driving in 10 runs and
8 runs respectively. They did most of their damage with the home run,
each hit 3 home runs. Four players have already driven in at least
10 runs; Alex (10 RBI), Achmed (13 RBI), Amir (14 RBI), and Pablo
(14 RBI). Pablo and Amir are also hitting the ball just about every time
up, batting .782 and .720 respectively, and they’ve only struck out
4 times of total 50 chances. On the mound Ernie won both of his starts
and lowered his ERA to 1.56 while striking 13 over 9.1 innings. Dante
impressed in his first start, going all six innings and not allowing a run.

We’ll recap again at the half-way point of the rest of schedule and the
opponents we have between then and now are:

              @ Fishes 2-4
              vs Mariners 4-2
              @ Hornets 5-1
              vs Twins 2-4
