MLB The Show 17 - Hunt for Red October - A Cincinnati Reds Franchise

I will be doing a Fantasy Draft franchise and try to build it from there. I chose the Reds because I want to use their old stadium in the franchise and because after looking at other names of peoples franchise posts I thought of Hunt for Red October and thought it would be cool.

I will be using OSFM 3.2 update 2 for the roster I will sim spring training and play every game in the franchise.

As far as updates go I'm not sure how they will go at this point.

            Spring Training 2017

With most of the roster set for the regular season the Manager Bryan Price will only have one battle and that is to determine who will be 5th in the Starting rotation. The candidates for that spot are Shohei Otani and Jeff Hoffman who are both rookies. They both will have every opportunity to win the spot and will be placed in the 4th and 5th spots in the rotation for Spring Training.

The rest of Bryan Price's coaches will be as follows
HC Don Long with 1 year left on his contract
PC Mack Jenkins with 4 years left on his contract same as Bryan Price
1st BC Freddie Benavides with 2 years left on his contract
3rd BC Billy Hatcher with 2 years left on his contract
FD Jason Ortega with 4 years left on his contract

              Spring Training 2017 Update

The Reds managed to go 14-16 in spring training. That was good enough for 8th place in the Cactus league. They started spring off hot going 14-8 before cooling off and losing 8 straight to end Cactus league play.

As for the battle for the 5th spot it was a blow out for Jeff Hoffman who pitched 24.2 innings with a 2.19 ERA. Shohei Otani had a 4.97 ERA in 25.1 innings. So Otani will be sent to Triple A Louisville to work on things.
