I love, love, love your concept of default sliders on Legend with everything set to auto except your day-to-day lineups and in-game decisions.

I've always felt that the cpu is programmed a certain way, and is limited in it's rosters decisions throughout a long 162 game season and off-season. It just makes sense to let the cpu "run" your team, so in essence all 30 teams are playing by the same "rules". It's always been pretty easy to make savvy trades, and FA pick ups to build a contender fairly quickly, so always hope this way of playing made it more fair.

One problem - the game is really limited in it's day-to-day transactions. Call Ups and Downs (at the major league level) only seem to happen when a trade or injury occurs. No one is ever called up/down based on their performance, and even when a trade/injury does take place, they tend to call up someone from the 40-man that really doesn't make much sense.

I really hope you get to see something different, but wanted to give you a heads up that if someone like Cespedes goes on DL, don't be surprised if cpu doesn't call up a back up 1B, C or someone else that makes no sense at all.
Off-season is dicey too, especially the FA's the cpu goes after on your behalf.
If I have a stud C signed to a long-term deal, I certainly don't need another one in the off-season, but I've seen it happen.

Hopefully you set up 30-team control and can override terrible roster decisions I've seen trying to play the way you are.

Not hating on you, just trying to be of value.

I can't say I'm prepared for the possible idiocy that may happen, but I know something strange is going to occur and I"m just going to let it play out.


I wanted to remain part of the action, but I also wanted to have to be more reactionary this time through. I wanted to experience more of the disappointment and dumbfoundedness a fan has no choice sometimes to endure and then, hopefully, the jubilation of success.



We'll see how it turns out and how the story unfolds. I mean, it's kind of an experiment so I have to leave the variables in place to judge the results.


And who knows? Maybe someone from SDS takes a break from trying to figure out how to manipulate morons into buying more packs and sees some inspiration for improving franchise mode... pfffff, I did mention disappointment and dumbfoundedness, didn't I?
