Summer of 2010 - The Rise of the Knicks

LEBRON, KNICKS SET FOR A GREAT SEASON

Tonight, the New York Knickerbockers are finally starting the season they've been anticipating for years. Knicks fans, our suffering ends tonight. The Knicks look like contenders for the first time in almost a decade. Coming off a season where they were the worst team in the league, the Knicks had a big offseason as expected. Coach Mike D'Antoni has his starters set for tonight's game against the Nuggets:

    PG- Raja Bell/Earl Boykins
    SG- Wilson Chandler
    SF- LeBron James
    C- David Lee
    PF- Chris Bosh

    LEBRON'S 34 LEAD KNICKS PAST NUGGETS 73-61

The new era has begun. LeBron, sporting his new #6 Knicks jersey, scored 34 points in his Knicks debut as the Knicks won by double digits against a very good Denver Nuggets team. Leading by 2 at the half, the Knicks came out and outscored the Nuggets 41-31 in the last 2 quarters. Carmelo Anthonyhad 27 points of his own to lead the Nuggets, who knows, maybe he'll join the Knicks next year?

KNICKS LOSE TO DEFENDING CHAMPS IN OT

The Knicks lost in overtime last night to the defending champion Washington Wizards by a score of 91-85. Washington came back from a 14 point deficit in the 4th quarter and had a 3 point lead with 3.6 seconds left, but a buzzer-beater by Raja Bell sent the game into overtime. LeBron James scored a whopping 43 points, but just 3 in OT when it mattered the most. Randy Foye and Gilbert Arenas had 25 and 24 points respectively for the Wizards.
