I am glad you think so, I actually sorta rushed to put this together, so I havn't really taken time to find a bunch of pictures, or come up with a standard righting style, but I do plan on incorprating more pictures later. The 1st year I am just playing catchup and getting things set up for the Fab 5 and Board member created recruits coming over in the next couple years.

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
I am just going to skip right to the end of the year and do offseason stuff for this season. Next year will have a better format of Games,News/Info and what not.
LAKERS CROWNED NBA CHAMPS
After finishing the regular season with the Best Overall record of 62-20 the Lakers went on the destory the Magic 4-1 in the NBA Finals. Kobe Bryant won the regular season MVP title as well as was named MVP of the Finals. He finished the year with a 21.0 PPG along with 5.5 RPG 5.5 APG 1.4 SPG
TYRKE EVENS ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
It was a tough year for Kings fans as Sacremento finished with the leagues worst record of 23-59, however the future is bright as the Kings should land a Top-3 pick in the draft and already having a budding superstar on their team. Evens finished the year Avg 17.4 PPG 4.4 RPG 5.5 APG
TEAM OF THE FUTURE??
The Sacremento Kings are not the only team whose future looks bright. The Milwaukee Bucks finished tied with the San Diego Typhoon for the leagues 3rd worst record (26-56) however next year they will have the NBA's Best 6th man in J. Salmons (14.7 PPG 5.2 RPG 2.8 APG) as well a very good backcourt in PG B. Jennings (15.9 PPG 5.3 APG) and SG M. Redd (22.8 PPG). With a Top-5 pick and another year under the belt for A. Bogut. Expect big things from the Bucks.
VIPERS AND TYPHOON STRUGGLE IN NEW HOMES
The San Diego Typhoon struggled with their move to the West Coast tying the Bucks with the 3rd worst record (26-56). However with G. Arenas gun issues behind him the Typhoon are loaded in the backcourt with Arenas,Josh Howard,R. Foye,N. Young and Mike Miller. Look for the Typhoon to try and make some moves to balance out their roster.
The Las Vegas Vipers struggled in Year 1 under new GM/Head Coach Bryan Young. However the future looks bright. Al Jefferson was named to the All-Star team and was named to the NBA 1st Team after Avg 21.5 PPG and 9.7 RPG. Ricky Rubio was named to the NBA's 2nd All-Rookie team afte Avg 9.3 PPG and 7.7 APG and Rookie W. Ellington finished 2nd on th team with a 13.9 PPG well hitting 38% from 3pt.Comment

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
VIPERS MAKE NOISE AT THE DRAFT
Armed with 5 selections in the draft the Las Vegas Viper made a bold move trading their #14 Overall(Hawks 1st) /#22 Overall(Blazers 1st) and #42 Overall (Nets 2nd Round) to the Oklahoma City for the #6 Overall. This will give the Vipers 2 picks in the Top-10 as well as the #2 pick in the the 2nd Round. (Also included in the deal was T. Hassell to the Thunder and exchange the Vipers get the Thunders 2nd Round pick next year)
VIPERS MAKE WALL #1 OVERALL CHOICE
The Las Vegas Vipers made Kentucky's John Wall the #1 Overall Choice in the 2010 NBA Draft. GM/Coach Bryan Young "We really felt that Wall was our best choice. This will allow us to pair him in the backcourt at times with Rubio giving us 2 solid options running the point"
Most NBA experts figured it would be either Wall or Turner going #1, however most also thought that whoever didn't would be #2. That would not be the case. The Sacremento Kings were looking to have someone else run the point next year and selected Wall's Kentucky teammate John Bledsoe with the #2 pick, shocking everyone around the league. The winners of this choice was the Boston Celtics who wasted no time picking Ohio States Evan Turner with the #3 Overall pick. The San Diego Typhoon already loaded in the backcourt took another ex-Wildcat in DeMarcus Cousins with the #4 Pick and the Bucks took Syracuse's Wesley Johnson with the #5.
VIPERS SELECT Derrik Favors #6
In another surprising move the Vipers selected Derrick Favors with the #6 Overall pick. GM/Coach Young "It was a tough choice. We talked long about this pick. With both Favors and Aldrich out there we knew we could get a quality bigman to back up Jefferson and possibly start for K. Love at PF if needed. However with Gordon Hayward,Kyle Singler and Al-Farouq Aminu there we were very tempted to look at upgrading our SF spot as well."
The Suns made a bold move as well picking Nevada's A. Johnson with the #7 Overall pick to replace Free Agent S. Nash. The Warriors then picked C. Aldrich #8, the Bulls selected Oklahoma State's J. Anderson #9 and the Nuggets picked Duke's Kyle Singler #10.
Here is a look at the rest of the 1st Round picks
#11 D. Motingues PF-Lithunia (Knicks)
#12 H. Whiteside C-Marshall (Nets)
#13 A. Aminiu SF-Wake Forest (Pacers)
#14 G. Hayward-Butler (Thunder) via the Vipers
#15 D. Ebanks-W. Virginia (Clippers)
#16 X. Henry-Kansas (Jazz)
#17 S. Robinson-UConn (Grizzlies)
#18 A. Bradley-Texas (Rockets)
#19 D. Orton-Kentucky (76's)
#20 Q. Pondexter-Washington (Charlotte)
#21 G. Monroe-Georgetown (Celtics
#22 E. Davis-North Carolina (Thuder) vis the Vipers
#23 D. James-Texas (Raptors)
#24 D. Washburn-Georgia (Cavs) Created recruit
#25 L. Sanders-VCU (Heat)
#26 J. Crawford-Xavier (Magic)
#27 P. Patterson-Kentucky (Charlotte)
#28 A. Chavez PF-Mexico (Mavs') Created recruit
#29 G. Walton PG-Boston College (Spurs) Created recruit
#30 R. Freeman C-Iowa State (Lakers) Created recruit
VIPERS SELECT BAYLOR'S EKPE UDOH
With the 2nd Overall Selection of the 2nd round, the Las Vegas Vipers continued to add depth to the frontcourt by adding Baylor's Ekpe Udoh. The 6'10 PF/C will look to fight with D. Millic for minutes.
Other noteable 2nd Round picks.
San Diego Typhoon-Craig Brackens (Iowa State)
Bobcats-W. Warren (Oklahoma)
Bulls-Manny Harris (Michgan State)

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
I think so. I really like my team. I have pretty decent depth. I still don't have a stud SF but Brewer and Alexander are serviceable. I didn't hit FA hard because I will have alot of cap next year as well, so I am hoping to be able to land one of the big FA next year.Comment

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
NASH HEADED TO DENVER?
Going into the offseason Steve Nash was the top Free Agent available. After flirting with the idea of going back to Dallas, Nash instead chose to sign with the Denver Nuggets and backup Chauncy Billups.
The Suns found themselves with plenty of Cap space after not resigning Nash and used it on 2 interesting pickups. Phoniex first signed Center Z. Pachulia to a 5yr 23.9 millon dollar deal and also gave a 5yr 31.9 million dollar deal to PG N. Calathus the former Florida Gator.
GM Bryan Young "I have no clue what the Sun's are doing. Neither one of those guy's should be able to command that type of money. Now mid-level Free Agents are going to expect the same thing".
The Suns and Nuggets were not the only one's to make some noise as the Chicago Bulls added a big piece to the puzzle in signing Memet Okafur to a 3yr 27.9 Million dollar deal. The Utah Jazz replaced him by signing Chris Anderson to a 2 yr 7.71 Million dollar deal and Larry Hughes is headed back to Philly the team that orginally drafted him signing a 4yr 23.8 million dollar deal. Rounding out the FA signing was the Orlando Magic who signed Flip Murray to a 5 yr 27.34 Million dollar deal and the Altanta Hawks who signed Pops-Mensua Barsi to a 3 yr 14.1 Million dollar contract.
VIPERS ADD DEPTH SIGNING 2 PLAYERS
With only 12 players on the roster, GM Bryan Young decided to add some depth to the Vipers roster signing vetern PG/SG Damon Jones to a 1 yr 450k contract and 2nd yr PF/C Nick Fazekas to a 2yr 2.54 mil contract. Fazekas was orginally a 2nd round pick by the Dallas Mav's and played his college ball at the University of Nevada.
GM Bryan Young "I think Nick adds more depth to our frontcourt he will allow us to bring Rookie Ekpe Udoh along slower well giving us the ability to explore trades for some of our expiring contracts(Milicic,Alexander,Brewer and Mills) "
VIPERS GO 1-5 IN PRESEASON
The Vipers started out the PreSeason winning their 1st game a 98-92 win over the Miami Heat.
Wayne Ellington led all scorers with 21 pts 8/11 FG 2/3 3pt and C. Brewer added 20 pts on 9/14 FG, well A. Jefferson added a double double with 14 pts 11 reb and Rookie John Wall had a solid debut with 11 pts 5 reb 9 asst on 5/8.
Jefferson would lead the team with a 21 PPG avg over the 6 games taking off right from where he finished last year. Wall would finish avg just 7 PPG but did have a team high 6.8 APG.
UP NEXT THE START OF THE 2010 REGULAR SEASON..

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
Well that or a Arenas jersey. I am starting to wish I would've taken control of both teams. I think it would've made it more interesting and fun. I am enjoying my team in Las Vegas, but would love to see the Typhoon make some noise as well. It shouldn't be to hard everyone in their division minus the Lakers really suck...Comment

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
I am not sure in regards to keeping guys I dealt. Maybe Flynn or Sessions would put up bigger #'s then Rubio at PG but I got Wall now, and Brewer and Alexander are putting up similar #'s as R. Gomes. My team is young but I think the biggest reason why I don't win more games is actually my coach. It might be time that Bryan Young resigns as Coach and just concentrates on his GM/President role. He is only a D overall.Comment

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
Good job picking up Nick Fazekas. Although he's a low rating player, his performance is similar to J.J. Redick. Ain't nothing better than having a big who can hit the mid-range & three. Hopefully he can put his height to use and get some rebounds for the team as well.Comment

Re: NBA 2k9 The Las Vegas Vipers
Thanks I thought the same thing plus the connection with having played his college ball at Nevada. However his time with the Vipers was short lived as he didn't live up to expectations and was dealt.Comment
