Pumped to see the Celtics take the title, but hate the Harangody pick! Here's hoping that Adam Rizzo gets drafted by the reigning champs!

The Vipers are stacked. Great off-season.

I agree with not liking the Harangody pick, but I'll trust he is better in the game than in real life. Good to see the Celtics win it all. Rondo and Gody might turn into a hot duo.

Stupid copy of 2k9 has a scratch on it. I should've saved at the allstar break.. I won't make that mistake again.

Yeah I really liked the trade I made for them as well, picking up the Bull's 1st Round pick which ended up giving the Typhoon the #4 and #5 picks in the draft..

Hopefully I will be able to repeat the deal when I redo everything.

                        2010-2011 RECAP
After making a huge splash at the NBA Draft all 3 relocated Franchises continued to look to make improvements in Year 2.

Seattle coming off a playoff showing, looked like the team with the talent to repeat. With R. Foye running the point and Joe Johnson playing like a All-star after the trade and double digit point production from Josh Howard and Al Thorton the Savage were able to slide Rookie D. Favors into the starting Center role after just 22 games and the Savage would go on to finish 42-40 claiming the 8th seed in the playoffs yet again.

Throughout the season GM BJ Dezaron made several moves looking to shake up his lineup but the biggest move was the trade he made last year picking up the Sacremento Kings 1st Round Draft pick. However that didn't stop him from adding a 3rd pick in the 1st Round when he dealt backup SF Donte Green and former starting center A. Blache to the Portland Trail Blazers for Jeff Pendergraph and the 1st Round pick.

The San Diego Typhoon were everybody's pick to make a quick turnaround. With a solid lineup that already consisted of PG B. Jennings SG M. Redd, and C A. Bogut the Typhoon added 2 instant starters in SF Evan Turner and PF Cole Adrich, giving them a very solid starting 5 to go along with 6th man John Salmons. Jennings would have a great year 2 in the league Avg 18.5 PPG and 6.5 APG and M Redd would make the Allstar team Avg 19.3 PPG, but the the Typhoon would still struggle finishing with the NBA's worst record at 27-45
causing a house cleaning to the coach staff. And several trades that saw SG Charlie Bell and several others dealt to the Chicago Bulls for a 1st Round pick.

With the drafting of John Wall and Wesley Johnson the Las Vegas Vipers looked like a team ready to make the jump to a playoff contender and they did just that finishing the year 44-38 claiming the #7 seed in the Western Conference. Even with plenty of cap space already available for the summer's FA crop and a playoff showing, that didn't stop GM Bryan Young from continuing his role as a guy looking to always improve his team. After aquiring Tyler Hansborough in a move last season, the fromer UNC Tar Heel tenure in the Sin City was short lived as he was dealt to Charlotte along with two 2nd Round picks for Jared Jeffries and the Bobcats 1st Round pick... He then dealt backup SG/SF Martell Webster (aquired last year from Portland) to the Golden State Warriors for backup PG Acie Law and backup PF/C Ronny Turiaf and in a very surprising trade the Oklahoma Thunder offered their 1st round pick to reaquite SG Kyle Weaver, giving Las Vegas (3) 1st Round picks in the 2011 Draft.
                        OTHER NOTEABLES
Portland traded Greg Oden to Sacremento for T. Evens and traded R. Sessions(aquired from Vegas last year) to the Cav's for Daniel Gibson

(Didn't like this trade at all, but because you can't control all 30 teams in 2k9 there was nothing I could do)

76's traded Louis Williams to the Nets for Yi Jianlan.

Celtics traded Tony Allen to the Thunder for DJ White

Atlanta trades Jamal Crawford to the Knicks for Al Harrington

The Grizzlies traded Marcus Williams and Jamal Tinsley to the Clippers for S. Blake and the Clippers 1st Round pick.

                            NBA LOTTERY

The New Jersey Nets finally won something. Leaping over the Typhoon to grab the #1 Overall spot. TheTyphoon would be left to select #2, followed by the Pacers, Suns and 76's as the rest of the Lottery selections held true.

Going into the Draft we will follow the 13 players progress as they look to upgrade the draft status. The Fab 5 of UC Davis (M. James,A. Rizzo, S. Johnson, TJ Youngblood and W. Chamerlain) as well as SF/PF Peter Blake (GT), SF/PF Adrian Marvell (Miss St), SG/SF Ghost Watson (Nova), PF E. Harris and SG/SF P. Coombs (Gonzaga), PG R. Axton (Duke) and Centers A. Murray (LaSalle) & J. Lue (China)

                            PG MICHAL JAMES ( LOTTERY)
"James comes into the draft as either the 1A or 1B PG as teams struggle to choose between him and R. Axton of Duke."

                            SG ADAM RIZZO (TOP-5)
"Rizzo draft status is on the rise as he shows every NBA scout watching that he has probably the best 3pt stroke in this year's class. Capable of taking over a game when needed Rizzo has earned talk of the being taken #1 Overall"

                            SF SETH JOHNSON (TOP-5)
"Like his UC Davis teammate, Johnson has caught the eye of every scout watching. Going up against the likes of Peter Blake,Adrian Marvell and Ghost Watson, Johnson has shown the ability to score at will."

                            PF TJ YOUNGBLOOD (LOTTERY)
"Similar to James, many teams can't decide if Youngblood can be the #1 PF in the draft or if it is Eljiah Harris of Gonzaga. With a better 3pt shot, Youngblood might have the ability to play SF at the NBA level giving him the edge up"

                            C WILT CHAMBERLAIN (TOP 5)
"Wilt Junior has skyrocked up the draft boards. Orginally not even listed as a 1st Round selection, Scouts are now seeing glimpse's of offensive skills past on my his father. With the ability to be a double double guy day in and day out, Chamberlain will battle with 7'0 A. Murray (LaSalle) and 7'1 James Lue (China) as the Best Bigman in the class"

                            SF/PF ADRIAN MARVELL (TOP 5)
"After leading the Bulldogs to a NIT Championship and then to a Elite 8 showing, Marvell used his play to earn him a spot in the Top-5. Rumors have the Nets and the #1 Overall Selection as Marvells next stop."

                            SF/PF PETER BLAKE (TOP 5)
"After leading the Yellow Jackets to a National Title Appearence, Blake like Marvell turned his play into a Top-5 Selection. With the ability to play 2 posistions, Blake has the skills to help a team right away"

                            SG/SF GHOST WATSON (LOTTERY)
"Watson used a strong camp to show NBA scouts what they were not able to see well he was at Nova. Buried on the bench as a Freshman, Watson again struggled to get minutes even though he started as a Soph and lead the Cats to a Final 4 Appearence. A Hybird type player Watson can play 3 posistions and should be a great addition to any team.

SG/SF PETER COOMBS AND PF ELIJAH HARRIS(LOTTERY)
"These 2 former Bulldogs look to follow in former Zag's Adam Morrison and Austin Daye as top picks in this years class. Coombs only 20 years old was WCC POY last year and has the draft's 2nd best 3pt stroke behind Rizzo. Harris is as close to a true PF as you can find. At the age of 24 he is probalby the most ready to come in and play starting day 1.

                            CENTERS A. MURRAY & J. LUE (TOP 5)
"These two 7 footers will battle with W. Chamberlain as the top bigmen available. Murray was the National POY last season avg over 30 PPG the past 2 years at LaSalle, Lue looks like another Yao Ming. Ready to show the USA what they havn't seen before."

                            PG R. AXTON (LOTTERY)
"Battling with M. James as the Top-PG in the draft, Axton has the edge up when it comes to shooting, reminding some scouts of a Tyreke Evens 2 years ago."

This is going to be good, rumors got me as possibly being selected number 1...I would actually be surprise if I did get picked number 1 overall especially with the talent at the SF position in the draft with the likes of Seth Johnson, Blake and Watson being so stiff of competition. This will be interesting.

                                VIPERS DEAL FOR #1
Going into the summer the Vipers offered to pick up PF Kevin Love's team option, however after back to back seasons with 10+ PPG and 8+ RPG, Love was hoping to work on a new deal. Instead the Vipers dealt Love along with the #20 and #21 Selections to New Jersey for the Nets #1 Overall pick as well as New Jersey's 1st Round pick next year..
