    Re: NBA: Where Amazing Happens

LB6 heads to a new team as the entire dynamics of the NBA changes.

LeBron James vowed to win a championship for the Cavilers in the 09'-10' season and came up 2 series' short. No one knew what the fate of LB6 was at the end of the season, some said he would stay some say we would leave and now we know, he left, he left for a team who wasn't even speculated to be in the race for LeBron. After drafting John Wall the Wizards made a move at LeBron and landed him. The Wizards are now a dynamic team that looks destine to possibly win a Championship. That wasn't the only signing that happened this off-season, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, Amar'e Stoudemire, Dirk Nowitzki, Carlos Boozer, and Rudy Gay all found knew teams. Dwayne Wade, with no surprise, signed with the Bulls making Derrick Rose and him self one of the greatest guard combos in the league maybe of all time. Joe Johnson and Chris Bosh packed up and headed over to New Jersey along with Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, and Evan Turner, the Nets look to prove that all that cap space wasn't for nothing. The T'Wolves signed two power forward surprisingly after drafting Derrick Favors, Carlos Boozer and David Lee join Johnny Flynn to try to start where Kevin Garnett left off. Rudy Gay jumped ship to Miami where he joined Micheal Conley, O.J. Mayo and Al Horford, two of which he played with in Memphis. Dirk Nowitski oped out of his deal with Dallas and teamed up with Steve Nash in what could be his last chance for a title in Phoenix. One of the biggest signings was Amar'e Stoudemire going to the Thunder giving them a legit big man in the post now securing their place in the Western Conference. After losing to L.A. in 7 games Ray Allen moved to the Raptors saying, "I think my time was done there, it's time to move on."

Change was all around the NBA and with the HUGE free agent class all signed, the 2010-2011 season is upon and no one knows who will come out in front besides the Lakers, with the Cavs with out LeBron, who will step up in the east and who will try to contest with the Lakers?

    Signings:

    -Chris Bosh
    -Joe Johnson

    -Arron Brooks
    -Al Jefferson
    -Tyrus Thomas

    -Ray Allen

    -Dwayne Wade
    -Courtney Lee

    -Wilson Chandler

    -LeBron James
    -Jermaine O'Neal

    -Micheal Conley
    -O.J. Mayo
    -Rudy Gay
    -Al Horford
    -Tracy McGrady

    -Luis Scola

    -Mario Chalmers

    -Rodney Stuckey

    -Allen Iverson

    -Amar'e Stoudemire

    -Carlos Boozer
    -David Lee

    -Dirk Nowitski

    -Raymond Felton

Wow Hayward #20 to the Spurs is a great pick for them and Cole Aldrich to the T-Wolves at #23 was even a better pick..

By the way why did the T-Wolves give up Al Jefferson?

                Western Conference Preview

OKC looks like Western Conference favorites to begin the season.

With the entire landscape of the NBA changing, there is not telling who could start the season hot and who could start cold or who will be in the running for MVP with LeBron with another start player Gilbert Arenas. It's no secret that things are going to be hectic through out the whole entire season but that is something oh so thrived for in NBA fans.

In the Western Conference you can expect one thing, the Lakers will still be good and unless are stunned by injury, will be in the playoffs again looking to win their third straight NBA championship and Kobe will be chasing history trying to tie Jordan as the second player to acquire 6 championships. Someone that could be standing in his way is w:st="on">Oklahoma City's newest stud, Kevin Durant and his new teammate Amar'e Stoudemire. Obviously OKC is stacked with Amar'e at Center now making their line up look at little scary. Westbrook will return at the point, Durant will continue to put up MVP numbers, Jeff Green still a shooting power forward and now James Harden starting at Guard. This team could be the challengers to Kobeand company in the west. Elsewhere, second place runner ups in the west the Phoenix Suns with the exit of Amar'e Stoudemire left a huge hole in their line up at Power Forward and signed Dirk Nowitski. Nash and Dirk played together in Dallas and now are rejoined in Phoenix to try to win an NBA Championship in one of Steve Nash's final years. The Spurs have done nothing to revamp their already old line-up and may pay the consequence in the season as no one really considers them in the running's for a title or in the western conference. With the return of Yao Ming to the Rockets and the addition of Mario Chalmers, the Rockets may have found their way to reclaiming playoff gold. One sleeper for the upcoming season may be the Sacramento Kings, Tyreke Evans was spectacular last year and could be in line do do the same with a new point guard Raymond Felton and fifth overall pick Wesley Johnson at the Small Forward. The King's big men aren't anything special but of they get the job the the Kings could be that one sleeper team. After having season ending surgery, Blake Griffin will make his NBA debut to much awaiting critics and fans. The Western Conference is nothing but settled at this point and all we can do is wait for what is to come.

                Eastern Conference Preview

Bosh looks to restart his career in New Jersey

If you thought the West changed, you've got another thing coming. The Eastern Conference got a complete makeover which was quite over due. The top few teams in the east are different so are some of the players on those teams.

There's really no place to start but the biggest FA in years LeBron James finally found a team in the Wizards. No one expected him to even think about the declining Wizards but John Wall, who went to those Wizards in the draft must have done something to bring James to the Wizards and with Agent Zero returning and running the point, the three are going to try to take a team with no shot at a title or not shot at a playoff hope to getting to and winning an NBA Final. Another huge free agent that signed with a new team was Dwayne Wade, Wade left his disgruntled home in Miami and came to Chicago to try to make a new Legacy for himself. Along side Derrick Rose, Dwayne Wade gives that team a new look, a new attitude and a new hope for an NBA title. The Nets were busy this off-season with the signing of 2 max deal superstars. Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson team up in New Jersey to try to give Brooklyn something to cheer for. Along side with third overall draft pick Evan Turner, Devin Harris, Brook Lopez and Terrence Williams the Nets look like a serious playoff team now. The Magic didn't make any moves in the off-season but still look like a decent team to try to make another playoff run. The Celtics added Chris Douglas-Roberts to replace Ray Allen, a down grade but still contenders none the less. The Knicks add Arron Brooks, Tyrus Thomas and Al Jefferson to the party in NYC, the 76ers added DeMarcus Cousins, Bucks add Al Harrington, Cavs add nothing, and the Hawks pick up Wilson Chandler. The team that might have made the most moves in the off-season is the heat. The Heat added basically the whole Grizzlies back court in Michael Conley, O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay. The other players they picked up were Al Horford and Tracy McGrady who is still not old enough yet according to the Heat. The Eastern Conference is stacked and there is no doubt there will be some hustling for spots in the East which will make for a great 10'-11' season.

                  1st Quarter
The first quarter kicked off seeing Washington dominate early. John Wall showed why he was drafted #1 overall by scoring 11 points leading all scorers to that point. LeBron had a good quarter even though it really was quite with 8. It wasn't exactly a quarter to remember for Durant only scoring 2 points but despite that his team was only down 3 which had to excite Scott Brooks and company.

                  2nd Quarter

After being down the Thunder responded going on a quick run to start the quarter and through out the rest of it they maintained a slight lead over the Wiz. Clearly, John Wall felt if he had something to prove scoring 17 in one half in his 7th career NBA game. Arenas hit a three which gave the Wiz a boost to stay with the Thunder in this quarter. The Thunder however were looking to show the league with Amare Stoudemire, manifest destiny was possible. The battle on the boards were just about even as the Thunder took a 3 point lead at half.

                  3rd Quarter

In the 3rd quarter the scoring picked up big time as LeBron James stepped up scoring 13 points alone. John Wall continued to score as well but a balanced scoring attack from the Thunder was still prevailing as the Thunder led most of the way in the 3rd quarter including a large run which was eventually over come by LeBron. Amare Stoudemire wasn't scoring large but was doing his part with 11 points.

                  4th Quarter

LeBron had even more of an impact in the 4th quarter scoring 17 but late in the game after scoring and and 1 he missed a clutch free throw that would have sealed the game with Jeff Green missing the game winning FG to send it to OT. LeBron has struggled from the FT line but not like this, 3-9 all game and it proved to be costly for the team as they missed 14 free throws. Wall ended the 4th with 33 points and Arenas contributed with 13 at the end of regulation as well. Harden exploded in the 4th and headed into OT with 25, Stoudemire had 18 and 6.

                  Over Time

The Thunder took control to begin the OT period scoring 2 and 1's in a row converting both free throws. The Thunder took the lead by 8 at one point but another and 1 from LeBron but them right back in the game however he missed the free throw which hurt their momentum. A James Harden 3 pointer was the dagger in the heart for the Wiz as they went on to lose by 7 despite valiant efforts from LeBron with 53 and Wall with 40.

Great game to spotlight. With Lebron,Wall and Arenas, looks like J. O'Neill will be playing a backseat role all year. Looks like the Thunder should be amazing this year.. They are my pick to win it all.

By the way your team totals are switched for each team. Like Rebs,Assist,Steals,ect....

Wizards like to just get the ball and score. 121 points yet only 12 assists.

                        Joe Johnson Interview
Interviewer: Joe, how did you pull of such a feat with being down by as much as fifteen in the fourth quarter, scoring eighteenth of your thirty-five in the fourth?

Joe Johnson: My players just said they believed in me and that they trusted me with the ball if it came down to the end.

Interviewer: Besides your eighteen points what helped you best in the fourth?

Joe Johnson: I think it was Brooks rebounds, just getting extra possessions really helped me get into a groove and I think it helped other guys like Terrence and Chris to some extent.

Interviewer: Does this win bring anymore confidence to this team than it already has?

Joe Johnson: Oh, absolutely. Beating this team was fantastic, all of their starters are potentially able to score twenty or thirty points a game and to top that off they have Tracy McGrady on the bench who can explode on any night as well so I thought we played very good defense and hopefully this is the start of something special.

                        Interviewer: Thanks Joe.

                            Cavs Get

                            G T.J. Ford
                            2011 1st Round Draft Pick

Pacers Reason - This gives them a ligament point guard that can get them some scoring and a few more assists and provides them with a versatile asset on both side of the court.

Cavs Reason - T.J. Ford's contract is expiring and the Cavs seem to be trying to start over by building up the amount of expiring contracts on their side and also by acquiring a draft pick that they could use for some young talent next off-season. With LeBron gone this seems like the right choice and maybe they can find some one in the next off season to build around.

                            2012 1st Round Draft Pick

                            Lakers Get
                            G Steve Nash
                            F Arnet Moultrie
                            F Taylor Griffin

Suns Reason - The Suns seem to be trying to rebuild for the future by getting rid of Nash and bringing in Farmar. This gives them a decent starting point guard, or back up depending if they feel if Dragic has earned enough respect and learned enough from Steve Nash to start. They also acquire 2 first round picks which could be very beneficial.

Lakers Reason - Derek Fisher has declined a lot and Steve Nash is still very fit and a great point guard. With Nash running the Triangle Offense and Kobe Bryant's ability to still take over a game and their length inside, the Lakers look like a team on a mission with maybe only one team possibly in their way, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Lakers are in great shape as is Phil Jackson looking for a chance to three-peat for the 4th time.

Dirk Nowitski said, "As hard as it is to see him go to the Lakers, I know it is the best for him to get his first title and the best for this organization moving forward." Steve Nash also commented saying, "Phoenix will always be in my heart, being drafted here and winning my two MVP awards here, I will never forget this place and I hope for nothing but the best in the coming future for this franchise. 2011 2nd Round Pick

Cavs Reason - The Cavs once again went to work on getting expired contracts and they did that in Marcus Banks. They did give up a 2nd round pick but that seemed very minimal to the Cavs if they were to acquire a big name like Carmelo Anthony.

Raptors Reason - The Raptors get a little younger with this trade and acquire a draft pick that they will use to try to replace Chris Bosh or find a great talent to build around.

Signings - The Cavilers Sign Guard Nate Robinson to a 3-Year Deal worth up to 18M.

Reason - This could be a start in what the Cavs need to do to get back on top in the NBA. With the addition of Nate Robinson they get a point guard with scoring ability and energy which is something that was drained out of Cleveland when LeBron left.
