Yea I was surprised we beat them. Their offense was terrible without Jimmer though. Just saw your post and ouch he went off hahaha.

Man you really did get Jimmered. Glad I didn't schedule them last season.

FIRST HALF, NO DEFENSE. SECOND HALF NO OFFENSE.

                November 13, 2011

Davis, CA - It is amazing what a halftime speech can do to a game. If you were listening to this game or at the game, you were probably thinking that all those points in the first half had to kill these coaches.

UC Davis was up 50-40 at halftime.

Maybe the coaches did what Pat Summit did in the Elite 8 to get her girls hustling, but whatever they did to get their guys to play defense worked.

In the first ten minutes of the second half, UC Davis had only scored 10 points. It just seemed like they couldn't move the ball anymore.

Nevada however started to close in on their lead behind Sophmore, Jordan Burris. Burris had 29 points in tonight's matchup, 12 more than his previous career high.

"We just had no answer for him. Everytime he got the ball inside the 3 point line, he scored" said UC Davis coach, Lathen Scott, "I just don't know how we let him do that to us."

Defending Burris was not the Aggies' only problem. They had 16 turnovers in tonight's game, one less than the previous two games combined. 8 of those turnovers were by Eddie Miller.

With just 5 minutes remaining the score was at a tie and it seemed like all momentum was towards Nevada.

Than something just clicked for UC Davis and were able to edge out the game 76-67.

Another thing to note, UC Davis freshman big man, Akin Leonard had his second straight double double scoring 13 points while grabbing 16 rebounds.

UC DAVIS TOO MUCH FOR THUNDERBIRDS

                  November 18, 2011

Cedar City, UT - UC Davis came into the game tonight against Southern Utah with a lot of momentum. They have come off of winning 3 straight games against legitimate competition.

Now they face a summit league team that is nowhere near talented as the likes of BYU and Nevada.

But just because they look like a bunch of pushovers on paper doesn't mean they won't come out and battle you for 40 minutes. Which is what they did.

"I really admire the heart and effort that the Thunderbirds showed tonight" stated Lathen Scott, "They got down early but they just kept fighting. We had to grind this one out and not let them back into the game."

At halftime the Aggies were leading 41-28.

Southern Utah, who could have easily given up kept fighting. The only problem was that UC Davis' post game was nearly unstoppable. Alex Tiffin and Akin Leonard combined to score 27 points and snag 19 boards.

Akin Leonard got his 3rd straight double double and also went 6-6 from the field tonight.

"There are no words to describe how effective [Akin] Leonard has been. He is just a straight up beast. And also give a lot of credit to [Alex] Tiffin. He had an amzing game tonight." said coach Scott.

UC Davis was able to keep Southern Utah just out of reach the whole game from making any run and held on to win 78-67.

Now the Aggies will have to face their toughest challenge yet, Oregon, whom despite a slow start on the year, is considered to beat one of the best teams in the Pac-10 this season.

Yea for some reason on the roster that I downloaded from raiders a while back, he has a lot of guys with 3 point tendencies at 99 so guys like Cameron who are terrible (59 i think) just shoot and shoot and shoot... and shoot. The weird thing is he only averaged like 7 minutes a game going into the game and then all of the sudden he is playing non-stop haha.

Also, I am watching a replay on tv of Southern Utah @ Oral Roberts. What a coincidence haha.

Hey guys I might not be posting my legacy for awhile. I got in a wreck earlier today (everyone is fine, my car is messed up though) and right now I just don't feel like playing video games so I don't know for sure when I will post next. Just depends on how I'm feeling. I'll still be reading all of y'alls legacies and commenting and what not.
