Vandy is gonna keep up the hot streak from the SEC Tournament and whoop everyone they play!
And SC Upstate will beat up on everyone they play to win the NITs! (former legacy team )

Wow. Love all the picks. Guys. I didn't get time to post the updates after work tonight, because we were just informed we are not staying open until 8pm, which makes my 11 hour day now a 12 hour day. Also tomorrow was orginally suppose to be my half day 1-8, is now going to be another 8-8 because of a 8am morning sales meeting. So look for updates Sunday my next scheduled day off.

Change of plans. It's pouring down Rain here in Washington, Go figure. Headed home after the sales meeting got almost 4 hours before I need to be back to work, so updates coming up soon.

                            BRONCOS MAKE SCHOOL HISTORY!!!!

                            #9 (21-11) VS #8 (21-11)

1ST ROUND NCAA TOURNEY AT FORD FIELD

                            GAME PREVIEW

These 2 programs have built quite the rivalary on the football field, but this would mark the 1st meeting of the basketball programs. Oregon finished the year 2nd in the Pac-10 going 11-7 but lost in Arizona State in the Semi Finals of the Pac-10 tourney. The Ducks are led by their Senior backcourt of PG M. Armstead (19.2 PPG) and SG T. Williams (13.3 PPG).

The Broncos finished a surprising 1st place in the WAC, and then went on to roll through the WAC tourney to make their 2nd straight appearence under Coach Dezaron. With 4 players avg in double digits, led by SO S. Hicks (15.4 PPG 7.4 RPG), the Broncos will need a team effort to win their 1st ever NCAA game.

                            GAME RECAP

The Broncos would dominate the first half hitting 52% from the field and 6-13 from 3pt, but where the real domination came was on the glass where BSU would out rebound the Ducks 18-7 including 7 Offensive Rebs that led to 12 2nd Chance points as they took a 57-43 lead.

Trailing by 14, Oregon would try and rely on shots beyond the arc and fail, as SR PG M. Armstead finished 0/7 from 3pt and as a team just 5/21, as the Broncos made school history picking up their 1st ever win in a NCAA tournament. Boise State had 4 players score in double digits led by JR SG D. Wiley (19 pts, 4/8 3pt) who orginally played for the Ducks his FR year.

Dustin Wiley "It was a bittersweet victory for me. I grew up in Eugene and always wanted to be a Duck, but after failing to establish a role my freshman year, I felt it was best to go to a team where I had a chance to be a starter. Looking back at it now, I think it's the best decision I ever made"

"Obviously shooting the ball helps you win games, but I think you can look at 2 stats that will show you why we won this game tonight 12 Offensive Rebounds vs 1 and 17 2nd Chance Points vs 0. I am really proud of how our guys attacked the boards. Also getting their 2 bigmen in foul trouble early (Grundy/Nared) helped Mbaye and Diarra inside getting some easy baskets. It was great to see the rest of the guys pick up S. Hicks after he struggled early. We can all pretty much assume we will be facing #1 Saint Mary's in the next round, and it's going to take a repeat performance if we are going to have a chance at going to the Sweet 16."

                                BOARDMEMBER PICKS UPDATES

This year we had 2 guys pick the entire field of 64. (Matt314hew) and (Knickerbocker91) After Round 1, Matt has the lead by 2 games (9 misses vs 11 misses) Both players picked the VCU upset as well as the K-State upset.. Knick got the Iona pick as well as Florida, well Matt guessed correctly with GT beating the defending champs WVU.

MarvellousOne picked just his Sweet 16 winners and so far has 13 of his teams still left in the field.

Other Notables (3 players picked Arizona to win the NIT (CalBears,MarvellousOne,and Gloves) Delija66 and HockeyPlaya both picked #5 Maryland to win the NCAA.

Looking forward to seeing how everyone does.
