Chants fall just short


Coastal couldn't hang with the big boys

Conway, SC - For the first time in a long time, the attendance at Kimbel Arena was at 100%. Nobody wanted to miss an elite SEC program like Kentucky stopping in. Coastal did not leave their fans disappointed, putting up a very good fight even leading at halftime. The 2nd half was a different story however and Kentucky showed why they are an elite program. The boys in dark blue dominated Coastal in the 2nd half to take the game 61-50. It was a good test for the Chants that proved they could hang with the bigger programs.

Coastal slept through Furman's offensive attack

Greenville, SC - It seems like this happens every year, a loss that is totally unacceptable. Coastal Carolina had the edge over Furman on paper in every category yet could not win on Monday. Coach Ellis continued to not give Holloway many minutes and he had another low scoring effort. A loss to lowly Furman is not the way to bounce back after almost beating Kentucky. The Chants have little time to sit on this loss as they have another game in 2 days against Western Carolina.

Slipping Away


Coastal couldn't figure out Western

Cullowhee, NC - I'm not sure what the reasoning is, but this has gotten out of hand. Is it the early season injuries or is it the lack of game experience in the 3 new starters? Whatever it is, it needs to be fixed asap after another loss this time to Western Carolina. The Chants tried to power back in the 2nd half but it was to little to late for them. G Holloway continues to be a shell of himself while the new recruits are taken their sweet time getting accustomed to college life.

Just recently played a game against Coastal Carolina. Just had to say -- Holloway is tough as crap to guard. I hope he's good for you, seems like you get pretty balanced production from your team as a whole.
