A week out from the all star game the all star teams have been named. Notable absentee is Kevin Durant who was injured for a lot of the season, but he is leading his team back into play off contention by the minute. I'll update the coaches when I know them.

It's been a busy week, so I'll update with scores and key stats for the games I've played in that time shortly. Almost at All Star break, at which point I'll do a more comprehensive look at the Wolves season thus far, and the interesting stories around the league.

                Kevin Love: 32 MIN, 18 PTS, 5 REB, 1 STL, 1 BLK 2-2(3P)

This last game before the Allstar break proved to be frustrating with Michael Beasley having only just returned fully healed from injury suffering a 2 to 4 week ankle injury which will keep him out. Thankfully Bledsoe is now healed from his injury. The Timberwolves record is 42-14 as they enter the home stretch.

I'll update with stats leaders and standings sometime in the next few days. Still pretty busy atm.

Re: JR Rider returns to the Wolves (Association)

I updated my blog with an overview of the Wolves current roster and stats to this point. I've been debating internally whether to keep playing the rest of this season or sim through to the playoffs, then play the playoffs (having theoretically set the season up so far, it would be good for the CPU to throw in some sim surprises). That and I am excited by the Wolves drafting Derrick Williams and I want to get to the draft... to hopefully pick up Williams (even though it will make my roster top heavy - the fun will be figuring it out from there).

So I think at this point I shall sim through to the playoffs and then continue from there.

Decided to sim playoffs too and what a surprise despite gaining 2nd seed and being healthy... the Wolves lost 2 - 4 in the FIRST ROUND to Portland. Oh well... it will provide the Wolves with a taste of what to strive for going into year two of the franchise.

Lebron James was named MVP. John Wall ROY. Marcus Thornton 6th Man of the Year. Eric Spoelstra Coach of the Year. Ben Wallace Defensive player of the year.

Wesley Johnson and Eric Bledsoe made the All Rookie 2nd team.

The Heat defeated the Mavs 4 - 1 in the NBA Finals. Bring on the Draft Lottery, lets see what that Nets pick gets me

Top 10 Draft Picks in the 2011 Draft. The Wolves won the lottery via the New Jersey Nets pick traded for earlier in the season.

I picked Derrick Williams, because it's what the Wolves did in real life... from here I can just enjoy rejigging the team in an effort to make it past the first round of the playoffs.

                      Other Draftees:

                      First Round Pick #27: Cory Joseph 6'3" 185lbs PG/SG
Second Round Pick #33: Malcolm Lee 6'5" 200lbs PG/SG (because he is another real life draftee)
                      Second Round Pick #40: Lucas Nogueira 7'0" 225lbs C
