    Beau Allen
    [6’11”│235 lbs│21 Years Old]
    [4 PPG│1 RPG│2.1 APG│0.4 SPG│0.0 BPG│0.7 TOPG│12.6 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Beau Allen was drafted 12th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets. He’s another man who’s unfortunately looking like a bust. Through 24 attempts, he’s only been able to score 10 times and for a position that should require high efficient scoring, things really aren’t looking good for him. He’s getting more assist than he is rebounds and hasn’t really stepped up his games in terms of defense. He is possibly the worst rookie we’ve come to see so far. He just isn’t dong what he’s supposed to do. It’s starting to look like letting Carl Landry go was a horrible idea, Beau definitely won’t be able to fill West’s shoes when he eventually leaves. Lucky for the Hornets and not really for Beau’s individual success, West is getting his team 18 points per game but is also lacking in rebounds. Beau will have to focus on his rebounding if he intends on getting a bigger role in the team.

      Keenan Marshall
      [6’5”│207 lbs│21 Years Old]
      [11.3 PPG│5 RPG│1.2 APG│0.5 SPG│0.3 BPG│2.7 TOPG│34.7 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Keenan Marshall was drafted 11th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. Utah was really lucky with this one; they truly filled their needs by drafting the shooting guard from Hawaii. This man also happens to be the best shooting guard in the draft so far. His shooting percentage isn’t high or anything of the sort but he’s still delivering over 10 points a game and getting 5 rebounds a game for a man who isn’t really tall for his position. These are solid stats for a solid starting shooting guard. His defense isn’t spectacular but it’s a pretty decent starting point for a rookie and it could improve as the years go on or maybe even as the season goes on. Utah Jazz place a lot of faith in Keenan Marshall and this can be seen by the minutes per game, only behind Kirilenko by .3. He posted a pre-season high of 19 points and 8 rebounds. He’s been known as someone really loyal to Utah Jazz and while they’ve had a mediocre record so far, he’s placed his loyalty for Utah before all else. This isn’t much of a surprise considering this is a team who’s really giving him a lot of minutes per game. The only bad point would have to be his consistency. You know you’re not consistent when you drop 2 points one game and 19 points the next. Unfortunately, if Utah actually begin paying attention to the facts, they’ll realize that they’ve been within five points of victory or have won when Keenan has been under ten points but they’re far from that when he averages over ten points.

        Adrian Hines
        [6’0”│184 lbs│20 Years Old]
        [9.9 PPG│3.6 RPG│5.3 APG│1 SPG│0.9 BPG│1.6 TOPG│21.4 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Adrian Hines was drafted 7th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. Hines truly was excited to play for the Sacramento Kings, everything looked good, starting point guard, playing with Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins. Unfortunately, Kings didn’t see him as a starter and signed Aaron Brooks to start for the team. Any ordinary player would have been discouraged, not Adrian Hines. He’s stepped his game up since then and practically averages 10 points per game with his career high being 19. He’s also efficiently rebounded with 3 of seven games having over 5 rebounds per game; this is definitely a good stat for a six foot tall point guard. Along with this, he’s had six of his seven games with 5 or more rebounds. He’s having even better stats then Aaron Brooks in every single stat line besides points per game and three point percentages. If Sacramento aren’t going to pull the trigger on Adrian Hines and make him starting point guard then they’d be better off trading this man for a small forward while his value is this high. Adrian is the most underrated player in this draft and out of the rookies seen so far, he happens to be the best. Can you just imagine his average with thirty points a game, boy would that be something to watch. This man simply cannot have a bad game either, he still contributes in one way or another as shown by his three worst games; (4,4,6), (5,5,6), (7,2,6). This man truly deserves more spotlight and Kings need to give it to him.

            Chase Baysdell
            [7’0”│300 lbs│19 Years Old]
            [2.9 PPG│2.7 RPG│0.1 APG│0 SPG│0.3 BPG│0.3 TOPG│6.6 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Chase Baysdell was drafted 16th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. The statistics might not show it but Nuggets were really lucky to get such a young prospect. Chase won’t be immediately making an impact in the NBA this year but he’ll definitely put up some decent stats and if they send him to the NBA D-League, he will dominate it easily. If this man were to play the role of starting center with 30 to 40 minutes a game, he’d be averaging a double double, no doubt a bout it. He still has a lot of room for improvement though, his defense really isn’t as great as it should be for a Shaquille O’Neal like figure. If Denver really wanted to make this guy into the dominant center of tomorrow, then they would hire a man like Shaq himself to guide this man. He’s young and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, we don’t see him averaging more minutes than he already is. With a all-star potential starting center in Nene and three other centers to share the back-up spotlight with (Koufos, Andersen and Mozgov), Baysdell would probably enjoy being part of another roster at the moment. Luckily for him, New York Knicks have shown some interests in him, their own rookie in Dailey hasn’t nearly shown as much potential as Baysdell and Turial who’s averaging 31 points per game has similar stats to Baysdell. You might just see this young rookie changing teams soon enough.

Thanks for the welcome back, across the year I'll be scouting rookies so you'll still see a bit of player progress even if they're not in the NBA.

                Matthew Tram
                [6’10”│260 lbs│19 Years Old]
                [13.2 PPG│10.3 RPG│0.8 APG│0.2 SPG│2.5 BPG│1 TOPG│29 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Matthew Tram was drafted 5th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. The rookie from Syracuse shares the Power Forward position with two other rookies; luckily, he’s the starter for the team as well as one of the better players in Indiana. This isn’t a team that’s going to make the playoffs but right now, Matthew likely isn’t looking for championship gold, he’s looking for personal success and that’s exactly what he’s getting. This man scores efficiently and best of all, he can rebound. This is a statistic really lacking in the rookies thus far and Tram has shown himself as being the best at it so far. He’s defense is amazing too, you can call this man Mount Tram if you will because unless you’re Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade, you probably aren’t going to be getting lay-ups pass this guy. This man has proven himself as being a consistent player and considering he’s only 19, he’s really extraordinary. He deserves his spot, this is a man who’s pre-season high is 22 points and who even recorded 19 rebounds. You talk about talent, this right here is talent. Twice, he’s recorded four blocks, three of those blocks done towards Bynum and Gasol. This man is a future all-star, there’s no doubt about that, it’s time for Pacers to forget about Jermaine O’Neal, now, the only name they’ll be cheering for is Matthew Tram. Collison, Young and George all average more points than him but we know it’s not long before he surpasses all of them.

                  Jemarcus Green
                  [7’1”│255 lbs│21 Years Old]
                  [1.9 PPG│3.1 RPG│0 APG│0.3 SPG│0.6 BPG│1.1 TOPG│8.3 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Jemarcus Green was drafted 15th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. The center plays behind last years rookie, Greg Monroe and with Greg busting a double double every game, there just isn’t enough minutes for Green to shine. He isn’t a bust but hasn’t shown much potential so far, the man can’t score whatsoever, and for a 7 foot 1 center, he should be dominating the low post, clearly he isn’t. Luckily, he’s rebounding the ball which is always a plus when you’re drafting a center. There isn’t much to say for this guy, he doesn’t seem like he’ll get much time off the bench with a young and tremendous player like Monroe playing before him. Unless Green wants to play back-up for his whole career, it’s probably best that he leaves this squad whenever he gets the chance.

                    Jaden Mutonji
                    [6’9”│225 lbs│20 Years Old]
                    [21.7 PPG│5.9 RPG│3.4 APG│0.9 SPG│0.1 BPG│2.7 TOPG│34.9 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Jaden Mutonji was drafted 2nd pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. The small forward could be having a very different season if Raptors had not traded to get the first overall pick. He could be in Philadelphia 76ers right now playing back-up for Bob Murphy or Johnny Best, fortunately, things turned out great for him. He’s the leading scorer out of all the rookies with 21.7 points per game, unfortunately that might go down during the season as Marcus Thornton was recently traded for Scoring Guard, O.J. Mayo. That isn’t his only bright spot, he’s averaging nearly 5.9 rebounds per game, it doesn’t match up to Johnny Best but it’s still a solid statistic. He’s getting the passes done as well with 3.4 per game. His defense isn’t amazing but he’s been a great pick pocket, nearly achieving one steal per game. On the flip side, he’s been known for his numerous turnovers and bad three point shooting percentage but that’s just about the only negative aspect for the Small Forward. He’s stating over Shane Battier and fortunately for the Raptors, it turned out to be a great decision. Jaden definitely has a future in the NBA, and he could very well be a future scoring leader if things continue going the way things are going.

                      Jonathan Tshinanu
                      [5’11”│188 lbs│20 Years Old]
                      [13 PPG│3.9 RPG│9.3 APG│2.3 SPG│0.9 BPG│2 TOPG│33.9 MPG]
Pre-Season Summary: Jonathan Tshinanu was drafted 1st pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. The point guard is proving to be worth pick, Toronto might be thinking that Adrian Hines would’ve been a better pick but they still can’t help but feel satisfied with two potential packed stars. Jonathan has a tendency of passing before he actually scores, not that he isn’t capable of scoring. He isn’t afraid to do just about anything, he’ll get some rebounds, get nearly 10 assists a game, and steal the ball from even a good ball handler, he’s even shown the capability of blocking his opponents. That isn’t to say that all is good with this man, he’s been known for fouling quite often and his plus-minus stats are very low, going as low as 27 in his final pre-season game. Jonathan needs to exceed expectations or Raptors might try to grab up a better point guard, a guard that goes by Adrian if he doesn’t improve. Their expectations might be high, but for a 1st overall pick and a bad draft history, Raptors just can’t be satisfied with anymore average picks.

                        [6’8”│250 lbs│20 Years Old]

Pre-Season Summary: Hunter Wagner was drafted 13th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. The small forward found himself drafted to a team that really didn’t need him much like Chase Baysdell, a team where they already had two young and good small forwards in Childress and Dudley so now Wagner is stuck being a role player on a bad team. However, he’s using his time as efficiently as possible, dropping seven points a game and having a few solid games on the rebounding side of things. Right now, he’s looking pretty average but that’s due to the lack of minutes given to him. Phoenix might consider giving him more time when the season starts, possibly even a few starting nights but much like Jake White, we’ll have to wait and see. It doesn’t look like he’s in to Phoenix as much as people would expect, Hunter seems to be the man that doesn’t mind playing role, as long as it’s in a championship team and not a bottom feeder.

Pre-Season Summary: John Li was drafted 4th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. John Li… bust. You might say it’s because of his minutes but Jemarcus and Bob average about the same amount of minutes and they do far better. He simply isn’t bringing in anything to the table. We don’t see this man in the NBA 5 years from now, we see him gone from early retirement or playing as the next Adam Morrison. Minnesota really had a bad pick this year; it seems their luck has finally faded after drafting the likes of Roy, Mayo, Flynn in the past few years. John Li is the worst player out of the lottery this pre-season and if he doesn’t step his game up, don’t expect to hear much of him in the future. This man can’t defend, and simply doesn’t score enough. There’s no really good aspect about his game.
