Relevent in the District: A Washington Wizards Dynasty (2k12)

The Washington Wizards have some bright young players including their star John Wall and their future is looking bright after a few years in the cellar. The Wizards look to the 2011-2012 campaign as a chance to break out and for their young stars to make names for themselves around the league.

A few final moves occured before opening day as a few teams looked to improve their rosters.

New Orleans Hornets signed Gilbert Arenas to 1 year deal worth $5.76 million.
Andrei Kirilinko returned from Russia and signed with the Jazz to a 1 year deal worth about $2million.

The Washington Wizards lacking a veteran backup point guard behind John Wall, signed Eddie House off of waivers after he was released by the Miami Heat to a 1 year deal. The Wizards hope he can facilitate the offense when Wall is not on the floor and spread the floor with his long range ability. Other than House, the Wizards kept their roster mainly in tact with the addition of Roger Mason Jr & Ronnie Turiaf in the offseason, and Jan Vesely and Chris Singleton through the draft.
Their opening night depth chart is as follows:

Opening Night has arrived and the Wizards open up at home against Deron Williams and his New Jersey Nets. The Wall vs. Williams battle at point guard shoot be interesting as well as Brook Lopez in the post against Javale McGee. Both teams are not projected to be playoff teams this season but both would definately love to get a win here and shoot for a 7 or 8 seed in the playoffs.
    ------------------------
A hard fought game that went down to the wire, the Wizards finished with a strong 4th quarter which ultimately propelled them to their win in their home opener. A strong performance by Wall/Young/Lewis as the Wizards bench struggled on offensively and were limited in their minutes because of this. Strong games by Anthony Morrow and Deron Williams kept the Nets in this back and forth game, the Nets had the games biggest lead of 10 points early in the 2nd quarter but could not build off that. A good win for the Wizards who will look to build off of this game.

Game 2 has the Wizards up against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. Unfortunately the Wizards were unable to hang with the Magic and ultimately fell to 1-1.

Game 3 has the Wizards traveling to take on the Big Three and the Miami Heat. Despite some solid play by John Wall and Javale McGee the Heat got the best of Wizards and dropped them to 1-2.

*All Star Difficulty 10 Minute Quarters both Sim and In Game

The Wizards get back on track with a big win over the Magic as they meet them for the second time already. A big 4th quarter comeback mounted by the Wizards gets them back to .500
