          Pacers win Season-Opener

          (1-0) 113 @ 104 (0-1)

The Indiana Pacers started off their season with a poor first quarter, losing 32-23 at the end of the first quarter. Nothing could drop for them, shooting 7-21 from the field. In the second quarter, they were able to get a little run, cutting the lead to 61-54 at the half. They exploded in the third quarter, however. Led by 13 fast break points, and 13/23 shooting, the Pacers went on a19 run to clench a 6 point lead. They then rode their momentum into the fourth, and won the game 113-104. It was a great way to start off the season, especially against a division rival.

Leading the Detroit Pistons was Rodney Stuckey, who scored 36 points, but still, it was not enough. The Pacers' bench was simply fantastic in this game, and most likely won them the game. 56 of their 113 points came off of the bench. Leading the bench, and the team, was George Hill. Hill scored 25 points, 21 coming from three-pointers. Leandero Barbosa also played great off the bench, scoring 14 points. Another key factor to the victory was three pointers. Indiana shot the lights out, shooting 15-38 for three pointers. George Hill scored 7 of those big shots, with Collison and Barbosa both adding two. David West played great, scoring 14 points, and grabbing 15 rebounds. Tyler Hansbrough also played well, scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds, and rejecting 3 shots. Roy Hibbert also blocked 4 shots, making it a tough feat to come into the paint and score against this team. Despite the win, Danny Granger played horribly in tonight's game. Granger scored only 6 points, while shooting 2-12 from the field. Next up for the Pacers are the OKC Thunder.

Pacers Squeeze by Thunder in OT

            (2-0) 114 @ 109 (1-1)

Pacers Squeeze by Thunder in OT

The Indiana Pacers barely squeezed by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Chesapeake Energy Arena. It looked like the Thunder were going to win, up by 3 with 58 seconds left in regulation. However, a quick bucket by Roy Hibbert and a defensive stop proved them wrong. Indiana then shot off on a fast break with Darren Collison and Paul George, and ended up with an and one off of the alley-oop from Collison to George. After a miss, the Thunder had no choice but to foul. Darren Collison, who is normally a good free throw shooter, only made 1 out of 2. The Pacers had the three point lead, and the Thunder shot a three with 1.7 seconds left. It was no good, but Kevin Durant was going to the line for three free throws. The first one was good.. the second one... good... and the third... was in. Indiana inbounded it to David West, who shot a free throw range jumper, but it was no good. This one would have to be decided in overtime.

The Thunder jumped off to a quick 7 point lead in overtime, and it looked like the odds were in their favor. Something had to be done for Indiana, and they subbed in the fourth year George Hill, who quickly knocked down 2 big threes to cut the lead to 1. Danny Granger got to the line after a miss by Kevin Durant, and knocked down 2 free throws. With 11 seconds left, the Thunder missed a shot by Kevin Durant, and fouled David West. West knocked down both shots to make it a 3 point game. The shot went to Kevin Durant, but it was no good. Roy Hibbert then went to the line with 5.7 seconds left, and closed it out with 2-2 free throws. Hibbert was named the Player of the Game, shooting 9-11 for 22 points, and grabbed 8 rebounds.

David West continued his great rebounding tonight, grabbing down 15 boards, and scoring 18 points. Four of those rebounds were offensive rebounds. If he keeps up his play, it would benefit the Pacers greatly. George Hill, coming off of a 25 point outing, only scored 10 points, but with 2 big threes. Paul George also played great, scoring 22 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Danny Granger finally found a rhythm, scoring 16 points. The last notable for tonight's game was Leondro Barbosa, scoring 12 big points off of the bench, and dishing out 4 assists. Despite being out-rebounded 57-44, they somehow came away with the win. Their bench continues to be solid, getting 28 points from the bench. Next up for Indiana is the Boston Celtics, which will be their home opener.

For Oklahoma City, it was a devastating loss in front of their home crowd. Kevin Durant was everywhere, scoring 38 points, with 18 of those coming in only the first quarter. Russell Westbrook also did not help their cause of winning, by fouling out late in the fourth quarter. He played great in regulation, scoring 24 points, and adding 7 assists to their total. The other member of the Big 3, James Harden, scored 18 points. Their Big 3 scored a massive 80 points out of their 109. They couldn't find any help off of their bench, however, only finding 12 points opposed to the Pacers' 28.

Pacers beat Celtics in a Nail-Biter

              (3-0) 100 vs 98 (2-1)

The Pacers won another nail-biter, this one their season opener. At halftime, it was looking to many like the formations of a blowout. Boston was winning 52-40 at the half, after outscoring Indiana 27-19 in the second quarter. However, it was all Pacers in the second half, particularly in the fourth quarter, where the Pacers went on a run, outscoring Boston 32-23. The Pacers were losing by four when Lance Stephenson came in with 5 minutes left in the fourth. Stephenson showed he could be a part of the rotation, scoring six quick points, and adding a block. The Pacers then came back, and tied the game at 98 with 27.6 seconds left in regulation. George Hill fed the ball down low to Roy Hibbert, who had an easy matchup against former Pacer Jermaine O'Neal, and put it in with 17.8 seconds left. The Celtics were holding the ball, and it looked like they would hold the ball for the last shot. But what would they do? Go in for a lay-up, or just try to win it with the three ball? They went for the kill. Paul Pierce hurled up a last second attempt against Danny Granger from beyond the arc, and air-balled it. The Pacers improved to 3-0, while the Celtics picked up their first loss of the season, at 2-1.

Danny Granger found his star game tonight, putting 27 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a career high 8 steals up against the Celtics. Leandro Barbosa continued his spark off of the bench, putting together 14 points and 2 steals. Roy Hibbert and David West both continued their great rebounding, Hibbert with 13, and West with 12. Roy Hibbert also put together a season high 3 blocks, showing his dominance down low. It's a surprise that Indiana won this game, shooting a terrible 24-41 from the charity strike. Yes, that's 17 free throws missed, if made, they would have won by 19. Indiana put together a season-high 13 offensive rebounds tonight, and also a season-high, 19 steals.

On paper, it would have looked like the Celtics won this one. They led the Pacers in field goal percent, three point percent, free throw percent, assists, rebounds, blocks, bench points (only by two), second chance points, fast break points, and points off of turnovers. That's almost every stat going towards Boston, but they somehow let this one slip away. Keyon Dooling was an animal off the bench for Boston, racking up 18 points, 6 of those from downtown.

Pacers' Weekly Review (Feel free to post now)

                Pacers' Weekly Review

It was a very successful first week for this Indiana team, leaping out to a perfect 3-0 record, claiming the first seed in the Eastern Conference. Seven Pacers players are currently averaging over 10 points per game, showing off their great depth. David West is averaging 14 rebounds per game, while Roy Hibbert averages 9.7. Danny Granger is leading the team in points, at 16.3, also in steals, a great 3.3 per game. Roy Hibbert is a huge presence down low for Indiana, averaging 2.7 blocks in his first week. If the Pacers keep up this kind of scoring out of everybody, they are bound for success.

Team Performer of the Week: Danny Granger. Danny is averaging 16.3 points per game, putting up 3 assists per game, and stealing a career-high 3.3 steals per game this week. His ability to score is deadly, and he is the team leader of the Pacers.

Bench Player of the Week: This one was close between George Hill and Leandro Barbosa, but this week it goes to George. He's coming off of a 25 point game in the first game of the season, and has been averaging 3 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game. He's certainly provided a spark off of the bench, which is essential to any team.

Re: Pacers' Weekly Review (Feel free to post now)

                  (4-0) 104 vs 102 (2-1)

The Indiana Pacers beat the Houston Rockets in Banker's Life Fieldhouse Tuesday night, in another close game. Let's just say, the fans are getting some great games this season. With one minute left, the Pacers held a four point lead, and for some reason, Frank Vogel left the bench in, assuming that they would win. Tyler Hansbrough made a quick hoop, to give them an assuring six point lead. On the other side, the ball went to Kevin Martin, who made a tough jumper with Lance Stephenson in his face. The next sequence of plays were a disaster. Two turnovers, gave up by George Hill occurred, and the game was tied. Coach Vogel must have then realized it was a close game, and put in the starting five. The ball went to Paul George, who finished the very tough layup with Luis Scola and Kevin Martin all over him. With six seconds left, the Houston Rockets gave the shot to Martin, who missed it, and Marcus Camby put it back with a layup, but the play would be reviewed. After the officials discussed it, and watched the replay in slow-mo, they declared it was no good. There would be no need for overtime, as the Pacers would stay undefeated.

Once again, Danny Granger showed that he was still the leader of this Indiana team, scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. He also shot a perfect 2-2 three pointers. The surprise of the night was Louis Amundson, who came in when Roy Hibbert only saw 8 minutes of playing time on the court. Amundson showed he could step up and play well, who scoring 12 points, and was only four rebounds away from a double-double. Tyler Hansbrough also found his game, finally. Hansbrough scored 15 points and was nearing a triple-double with nine rebounds and six steals. Unfortunately, the newly acquired Leandro Barbosa, who had been averaging about 13 points a game, has been said to have a strained abdomen, and is looking to be on the sidelines for 2-4 weeks. This will provide George Hill and Dahntay Jones a chance to step up, and make a mark.

For the Rockets, Kevin Martin played his usual great, scoring 35 points on 12-29 shooting. Luis Scola also shocked everybody, shooting a perfect 4-4 from the arc.:wow: Two of those were on the fast break, and nobody on the defense saw those coming. Nobody else could get going for Houston, however. The next scorer was 9, who was Chuck Parsons and Kyle Lowry.

Pacers unmantle Bucks in Milwaukee, improve to 5-0

The Indiana Pacers stormed into the Bradley Center content on one thing, beating their division rival Bucks, and they did just that. Indiana got off to a fast start in the first quarter, winning 33-23 in the quarter. Paul George scored eight points in the first alone. They managed to keep a good lead going the rest of the lead, and simply rubbed it in by out-scoring Milwaukee 30-17 in the fourth. Indiana shot the lights out from deep, shooting a very impressive, 60 %, 15-25 from behind the arc. They also shot 56% from the field. Shooting definitely won this one for them, and they have the shooters to do it. Indiana also distributed the ball nicely, racking up a season-high 28 assists, with George Hill coming away with 10 of those. The Indiana bench was also magnificent, scoring an astounding 57 points from their bench-players, led by Tyler Hansbrough, who came away with 18. The Bucks only could muster up 19 mere points from their bench players, as nothing could be sparked off of their bench. Next up for Indiana is the Phoenix Suns, who are also 5-0, so somebody will leave Banker's Life Fieldhouse with a loss.

It seems like Tyler Hansbrough has came out of his slump in the first two games, scoring 18 points, and grabbing 7 rebounds in 22 minutes. George Hill also found a huge spark, scoring 15 points, 10 assists, and stealing it 5 times, all in 15 minutes. Dahntay Jones played great off the bench, scoring 10 points, and coming away with 3 steals to go along with am impressive 2 blocks, both of them on Buck's center Kwame Brown. A.J. Price also shocked many people in this game, proving that he had game in him, scoring 8 points in 7 minutes, which went together nicely with a perfect 3-3 from the field, and two of those shots were three-pointers. Danny Granger did not score as much, scoring only 16, but however grabbed 4 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, and rejected a shot. Unfortunately, Pacers' Power Forward David West has been diagnosed with a twisted ankle, but will most likely not keep him on the sidelines for long, and he may be back before their next game vs Phoenix.

Monta Ellis generally kept the Bucks from really making this loss a terrible one, even though they ended up losing by 29 points. Ellis put together a nice 27 points for the Bucks, and shot it well, 11-23. Kwame Brown also played pretty good, scoring 19 points off of 12 rebounds. And... now some of the, not too pretty stats. Brandon Jennings shot the ball a lax 4-16 from the field, while making it even more embarrassing by adding 8 turnovers. Not a good performance out of this man at all, and he certainly let his team down in this one. Worse then that, nobody could step it up for him off the bench, with Beno Udrih the top bench scorer, who could only buy himself 5 points.

Generally you wanna look at the amount of views you get and mentally keep track of how many you get a day/week/whatever and then you can judge if you wanna keep doing it or not.

btw, good start to the season and I'm happy to see Hansbrough is doing well!!
