Celtics Basketball - 2000 and Beyond

Hello everyone. I'm not much of a poster here. But I figured I'd start my first franchise on here. I'm using a PC game called Fast Break Basketball that is mainly a simulator and allows you to play from the 2000-01 season to current. I think you can play in earlier seasons, but I'm not sure.

I'm going to be using the Boston Celtics because I'm a Boston fan. And I will be starting in the 2000-01 season. So yes, I'll be without the "Big Three". Some more information on this, all the games will be simulated. The games will be updated in sets of five with my thoughts on the respective game.

As far as rules for this franchise, I have none really. When it comes to basketball, I'm still learning the financial aspect of it. Like the mid level exception, "Bird Years", etc. My trades will probably be limted. And all my moves will probably be done in the draft and free agency.

A good win to start the season for us. Antoine Walker really did work us. Jerome Moiso (20) and Paul Pierce (19) also contributed nicely. Pierce even had a double-double. Jason Kidd (28) and Anfernee Hardaway (22) were the only two threats on the Suns. If they could of had another player contribute offensively, we could possibly be looking at a different outcome.

Another good win for us. We had another good showing via our "Big Three" as Pierce had 27 and Walker, Moiso with 17 respectively. Walker and Moiso also had 15 and 17 rebounds. They were both four assists away from a tripple-double. Meanwhile, the Pacers only received help from Jalen Rose (27) and Jermaine O'Neal (14). Starting 2-0 feels great.

A tough loss to a good team. I guess if we're going to lose, I want to lose to a good team. And the Lakers are just that. Before us they easily dominated their opponets. Pierce (25) and Walker (16) were are scoring machines. Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant (39) and Shaquille O'Neal (19) did their normal thing. Shaq almost had a quadruple-double. A tough loss. But this will only make us better.

Well. After starting 2-0, we are now 2-2 on a two game losing streak. That's basketball though. Gary Payton (38) lit us up. We couldn't do anything to stop him. Rashard Lewis (21) and Patrick Ewing (17) didn't help our cause either. Moiso (17), Pierce (15) and Potapenko (14) were the only offense for us. Walker had a off night, and nobody else stepped up. But hey, when you have three good games, your bound to have a bad one. Lets just rebound against the Kings.

We managed to get a come from behind win tonight. We outscored the Kings by 11 in the fourth to win. Potapenko (22), Pierce (21), and Walker (17) were the only players in double digits for us. They did an amazing job offensively. The Kings only received offensive support from Chris Webber (23) and Peja Stojakovic (23). If they could of received a little more help offensively, or played a little better while they were ahead, we might be looking at our third straight loss. I'm glad we aren't though.

What a dominating win for us. Moiso (24), Walker (21), Pierce (20), and Chris Herren (16) exploded offensively. Three players with over 20 points is great teamplay on our part. Those four same players had 5+ assist each. And Walker had 25 rebounds! That's just dominating. Moiso had 17 of his own. Just an all around dominating performance by us. A true team effort in my opinion. Chucky Atkins (19) and Jerry Stackhouse (17) are the only two worth mentioning for Detroit. I can see why Detroit is 1-4. Good luck to them and their future endevours.

Another great team effort by us. Pierce (28), Walker (22), Herren (18), and Potapenko (15) were the offense in this game. Moiso had a quite night as he only had 10. Walker dominated the boards for a second straight night grabbing 16 boards. Not one Magic had over 10 boards. John Amaechi (34), Grant Hill (19), and Tracy McGrady (19) were the only firepower the Magic had. There were five Magic players without a point. Everyone on our team at least had two points or more. Just a dominating performance. Hopefully we can keep it going.

A good game. A close game. The last time we played the Lakers, we were in L.A. This time we were in Boston and got revenge. Potapenko (26) and Pierce (25) were our firepower in tonights game. Moiso and Walker both had quite nights. Hoorace Grant (24)carried the load offensively for the Lakers. Shaquille O'Neal (15) and Kobe Bryant (14) were not a problem in tonights game. The game was close. The type of game you wanna see. We'll see them in the playoffs. Hopefully not though.

Back to dominating the horrible teams. Even though Pierce had 30 points, we had six players with 15+ points. That is, amazing teamplay. Ball movement. Whatever you wanna call it. Sam Cassell had 20 for the Bucks. But the Bucks only had three players with 10+ points. A solid, solid team win. Hopefully we can keep this kind up chemistry throughout the year.

Six wins in a row. We can thank great teamplay for that. Walker (25), Pierce (22), and Moiso (19) led the offense. Like that's a surprise though. Moiso has had 15+ rebounds in the last three games. What a roll he's on. Him and Walker are rebounding machines. Potapenko can be a rebounding machine too. Reggie Miller (23) was the only Pacer who knew how to shoot in todays game. Gotta feel bad for him.
