          Blowout in Hollywood

The Oklahoma City Thunder were up against their rival Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. At the beginning of the game, captains Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant shook hands to get the season underway. Oklahoma City Dominated the first half out scoring the Lakers, 62-38. The Lakers attempted a comeback but, they didn't have enough to top the Thunder's defence and tremendous bench. The Thunder left Staples Center with the Blowout Victory, 105-85. After the game Scott Brooks had some words to say.

Scott Brooks: This is the beginning of an amazing season. We are going to not only win games with this organization, but also win championships. All I can say is, with this blowout, we are only gonna do better.

            Streak in the making?

The Oklahoma City Thunder were at it again but, this time it was against the Phoenix Suns. The Suns started off amazing in the first minutes leading the game 19-4 but that huge lead slipped away in the first quarter. The Thunder took the lead and made it a 36-29 game. The Thunder dominated the first half behind Durant's amazing play. The second half was no different as the Thunder came out victorious, 124-97. Steve Nash had some words after the game:

Nash: They were the better team. The Thunder were playing better all game after we lost the double digit lead. We got just move on, and think about the next game now.

Following man, I'm a fan of the Heat, but OKC is the only other team I wouldn't mind winning a championship. Big fan of Durant/Westbrook. Good luck with the association, nice start to the season.

                        Backup for Westbrook

Oklahoma City Thunder's GM kept receiving complaints from star Point Guard Russell Westbrook about him being too tired after games due to the amount he plays. The GM decided to get Westbrook some backup and he did exactly that. Him and the Lakers GM were negotiating earlier today and they decided to make a 3 man trade:

Lakers Get: Reggie Jackson, Cole Aldrich & '12 1st Round Pick

                        Thunder Get: Ramon Sessions

With the addition of Sessions, will the Thunder step up their game against the Dirk-less Mavs?

Dirk-less Mavs fall to streaking Thunder

The Dallas Mavericks had a problem going into this game, who knew they would occur another against the red hot Oklahoma City Thunder. Ramon Sessions was making his Thunder debut as the Dirk-less Mavs attempted to stop the Thunder. Shawn Marion of the Mavericks suffered a Lower Back Strain in the first quarter after taking a jump shot over Durant. He hit the ground hard and was in pain the whole night. He will be out for 2-4 weeks. That wasn't all, Thabo Sefalosha of the Thunder suffered the same injury but he will only be out 1-2 weeks. The Thunder cruised out of Dallas with the easy win 120-93 behind Durant's 26. Serge Ibaka was Player of the Game getting a double-double (20 Points & 11 Rebounds).

20 Turnovers = First Thunder Loss?

The Thunder were ready to face their 2nd Eastern Conference Team of the Season. The Knicks were ready to slow down the Thunder once and for all. The Thunder blew out the Knicks at the half 62-44. This Knicks beat down the Thunder in the second half 63-51. The Thunder came out with the tough win 113-107 as Durant almost got a triple-double being 2 assists shy of it. The Thunder know they have to step it up for next game and they are going to come out with a more offensively smart approach after committing 20 Turnovers. Does this mean the Thunder are at the verge of their first loss? We will find out next game against the Chicago Bulls.
