Timberwolves: Path to glory, or road to continued woes?

Edit 9-02-12: After finding an issue with my roster, that I created myself in editing, I am going to be scrapping this association. Once I get a new one up I will be posting it in my Dynasty blog section, so keep an eye out there if you enjoy following dynasties. I plan to put more into that one, including the dynasty tables provided by OS, and some pictures for storylines.

I will give brief recaps of games/Keep up to date on team leaders in stats/league leaders
I am using just play v2 collab roster, so my season starts in 12-13.
14 game seasons, I play every game (11 min user quarters, 12 min sim for the rest of the league)

    Game 1:
    Timberwolves 86
    Mavericks 0-0 85

Behind 2nd year SF Derrick Williams, who finished with 26 pts 9 rebounds 1 assist 1 steal and 1 block in 30 minutes of play while going 9-14 from the field including 4-6 from 3 pt range, the Timberwolves pick up their first win of the season.

The win came in dramatic fashion as Kevin Love (20 pts 9 rebounds 1 assist 2 blocks) hit a 3 pt shot to beat the buzzer at the end of the game.

    Game 2
    Timberwolves (1-0) 93
    Thunder 92

Despite KD's 36 pts and 7 rebounds, the Wolves held off the Thunder to reach 2-0.

Kevin Love finished with a double-double 19 pts 10 rebounds.
Derrick Williams continued his impressive play posting 19 pts and 5 rebounds

    Game 3:
    Suns 79
    Timberwolves (2-0) 80

Has a new era begun in Minnesota? Derrick Williams 20 pts and 7 rebounds help push the Wolves past the Suns. Point guard Ricky Rubio was brilliant, finishing the game with 9 pts 5 rebounds 15 assists and 3 steals in just 27 minutes.

    The wolves are 3-0.

    Game 4:
    Timberwolves (3-0) 97
    Trail Blazers 88

The Wolves roar past the Blazers in this game that was never really close The big surprise was 6th man Alonzo Gee who lit up the score board with 33 points.
Kevin Love finished with 19 pts 10 rebounds
Rubio finished with 15 pts 12 rebounds 10 assists and 7 steals. This was one of the most dominant performances by a point guard in recent memory.

    Game 5:
    Spurs 97
    Timberwolves (4-0) 86

The Wolves pick up their first loss of the year at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.
Manu Ginobili's 27 pts and 10 rebounds paired with Tony Parker's 15 pts 8 rebounds 7 assists 3 steals and a block were too much for the wolves.

Derrick Williams finished with 24 pts 8 rebounds and 2 blocks while Rubio continued his impressive performances posting 12 pts 5 rebounds 10 assists and 3 steals.

    Game 6:
    Timberwolves (4-1) 107
    Kings 100

Demarcus Cousins and Thomas Robinson combined for 40 points and 20 rebounds rebounds while Tyreke Evans added on 29 points 2 reb 6 assists and 3 steals, but they were no match for the Wolves on this day.

Alonzo Gee shined again putting up 19 pts 6 rebounds 5 assists and 4 blocks.
Kevin Love also had a noteworthy performance tallying 19 pts and 15 rebounds

    Game 7:
    Jazz 100
    Timberwolves (5-1) 91

Utah 59 rebounds Minnesota 32 rebounds. That was the story of the game here. The four bigs who played for Utah combined for 49 pts and 32 rebounds, matching the entire rebounding total for Minnesota.

    Noteable performances by the Wolves
Brandon Roy 20 pts 2 reb 1 stl 1 block
Kevin Love 18 pts 10 reb

Two games in a row where opposing bigs have had their way with the T'wolves now. Could it be an achilles heel for the Wolves down the stretch? Their next game against the Grizzlies bring some clarification.
