Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild
Early Season Edition of:
Around the League
SF Alex Poythress, the #8 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft isn't thrilled about his current role with the Celtics... Currently Poythress is averaging around 18 minutes per night, scoring 8.5 points, grabbing 4.3 rebounds and blocking close to 1 shot per game... His play on the floor has really put the pressure on starting SF Jeff Green, and, to this point Green has not answered the bell...
Jeff Green is averaging around 33 minutes per night, but, his production is not where the C's would like it to be... So far, he's averaging 9.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists, along with 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per game... If the 28 year old Green, who is in a contract year doesn't step his game up, the Celtics could look to move him and insert the 23 year old Poythress into the Starting Lineup...
Stay Tune...
Injuries
SG Bradley Beal - Torn Hand Ligament - Out 6-8 weeks
With Beal sidelined for nearly 2 months, the Wizards fate will be in the hands of John Wall until he returns... Can Wall elevate his game enough to keep the Wizards in the Playoff hunt until the All-Star break? My guess is a big fat NO...

Around the League
Knicks fire head coach Mike Woodson after a slow start... The New York Knicks brought in Kemba Walker, LaMarcus Aldridge, Zach Randolph and Manu Ginobili in Free Agency this past Summer, and, that hasn't led to much success early in the Season...
Coach Woodson with his usual Confused Look...
The Knicks are currently 16-16 and in last place in the Atlantic Division... Mike Woodson felt the brunt of the lack of early success today as he was dismissed as Knicks Head Coach...
Lloyd Porter, a young up-and-comer in the league will take over this very talented team... Porter's abilites are ((A off - B def - B teach - A pot))... He's known for his Offensive prowess and could develop into one of the better young coaches in the league...

Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild
January 2016
The Injury bug has bitten several teams around the league this month... Some of these teams were thought to be NBA Title Contenders and those dreams are all but lost with these devastating injuries... Some of the teams will be in better shape than others, but, there is no doubt that the league as a whole took a hit this month as some of the games' brightest stars will be missing significant time...
PF - Blake Griffin
Broken Jaw - Out 6 to 8 weeks
-----------------------------------------------------------------
C - Anthony Davis
Torn MCL - Out for Season
-----------------------------------------------------------------
C - Joakim Noah
Broken Ankle / Ruptured Achilles - Out for Season
-----------------------------------------------------------------
C - Andrew Bynum
Torn MCL - Out for Season
-----------------------------------------------------------------.
As you can see, these injuries will change the landscape of the NBA this year and some, possibly into next year... With the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers big men both out of the picture, the Eastern Conference looks to be a 3 horse race now between the Cavaliers, Celtics and Pacers... Upstart young teams like the Bucks and Bobcats may now be able to realistically compete in the Eastern Conference as well...

Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild
Sorry for the lack of updates fellas... I think I'm going to finish out this year then hang it up for this release... I've lost a little bit of interest in the game and with the NBA Season coming to a close, I'm sure I wont gain any interest over the summer... Also, seeing LeBron win his 2nd NBA Title in a row has rekindled my hatred for himand its hard for me to even get excited about him playing on my Cavaliers, because, lets be real, he's not coming back lol...

JIMMER TIME!
Since moving to the starting SG spot in the Bobcats rotation,
Jimmer has answered the bell in a big way,
averaging 33.6 points in 10 games since the move...
He's now the #1 scoring option and doesn't have to worry
about getting others involved, he just needs to worry about "buckets"...

Re: 2k13 Cleveland Cavaliers - Rise up and Rebuild
HE'S BACK
With just 35 games to go in the Season, Kobe Bryant has decided to come out of retirement and rejoin the LA Lakers... The Lakers, who are currently in 2nd place in the Pacific Division, behind the cross town rival Clippers, just haven't looked the same this year without Kobe...
"It was killing me just sitting at home watching this season unfold...
That NBA Finals loss to the Cavs last year hurt, it hurt bad,
but I can't go out like that...
I've got to give it one more shot..."
-Kobe Bryant
LeBron handled his business in last years Finals
The return of Kobe immediately makes the Lakers a serious NBA Title Contender... After losing to the Cavaliers in last years NBA Finals, the Lakers 2nd trip in 3 years, many people thought Kobe was done and he'd never reach that 7th NBA Title... Well, now he's back and you know he wants nothing more than that 7th Championship Ring...Comment

Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, All Star teammates again in 2015/16...
These two have always been good friends, and with LeBron's return to
Cleveland they have become even closer... Kyrie is arguably the best
Point Gaurd in the League now, and LeBron, is well, LeBron...
With these two players the Cavaliers have a 1,2, punch that should
compete for titles for the foreseeable future...
Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul are tearing it up in Clipper land...
After a down scoring year in his first year Carmelo has picked it up
here in his second year, scoring just over 25 points per game...
The Clippers are in 1st place at the Break and they look like the
favorite in the Pacific Division.

Around the League
The 76'ers are still playing pretty good basketball, despite the
devastating injury to Andrew Bynum... I'm not sure how long
the Sixers can keep this up, but clearly their Title Hops took a
big hit when Bynum went down...
Another team devastated by a big injury is Chicago
the loss of Joakim Noah, to this point hasn't hurt the Bulls
as much as it will in the long term... They should still be
a playoff team without Noah, but realistically, I don't see how
they get out of the 1st round without him...
The Hawks are in the middle of another disappointing season and
once again rumors are flying around about Josh Smith...
There aren't many players in the league that average
20 points, 5 rebound and 5 assists but Smith is one of them...
He is a legit All Star and I think this will finally be the year
he is moved out of Atlanta...
Oklahoma City is on there way to another 50+ win Season...
Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are All Stars again
and this year, Durant looks like a serious candidate to
end LeBron James' MVP streak as he is tearing up the league...
After winning it all in the 2013/14 Finals, the Thunder's repeat dreams
were crushed when Russell Westbrook suffered and injury early
in the playoffs... If they can both stay healthy, this team is
the team to beat in the Western Conference...
The Nuggets made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals last year
before losing / choking away a 3-1 series lead to the Lakers...
That loss has haunted this team all summer and through the
first half of the year they are playing like a team on a mission...
I think Denver will be back in the Western Conference Finals vs the
OKC Thunder, and that series could be one for the ages if everything pans out...
