What Tennessee wants to do: Utilize All-SEC guard Scotty Hopson, a talent that the Stags have not seen all season. The Vols also want to use their size to punish Fairfield on the glass. Of course, as the SEC's top scoring team, Tennessee is not afraid to push the basketball.

What Fairfield wants to do: Use the full court on offense and defense. Tennessee does not start a true point guard, and ball handling will be at a premium against the Stags' press. On offense, Fairfield wants to swing the basketball and use both sides of the floor to make the Volunteers cover space.

Prediction: Fairfield gained valuable tournament experience during a Sweet 16 run last season, but the Volunteers will look to their 5 senior starters for leadership. These seniors were part of a championship team two seasons ago, and they will not want to lose early after a disappointing regular season. Tennessee by double digits.

What Fairfield wants to do: Speed up Cal. The Golden Bears are the top defensive team in the Pac-10, and much of it has to do with the slow pace they play. If Beilein's boys can push the tempo and get the game into the 80s they will have a good chance of winning.

What Cal wants to do: Get the ball to Ronni Clayton. The SO SG is the most efficient scorer on a senior-laden ball club. And Cal knows they will need to score points to beat Fairfield. And, oh yeah, play their typical great defense along the way.

Prediction: Tempo will tell who will win this game. Whoever gets the tempo to their liking will win the game. Cal is too strong a team to get rattled by the Stags, and the Bears should be able to secure a spot in the Sweet 16.
