MEMPHIS -- In a close affair, the Utah Jazz (3-1) edged the Memphis Grizzlies (0-3) 109-106 at FedEx Forum on Monday night. Foye finished the game with a team-high tying 21 points in 26 minutes. Another versatile performance was on display by the Jazzmanian Devil as Gordon Hayward had 10 points, 7 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals. For the Grizzlies, Zach Randolph was their high scorer and rebounder with 21 points and 10 boards. Mike Conley finished the game with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams shot the ball extremely well with Utah shooting 49% and Memphis connecting on 51% of their shot attempts. In the end the game came down to one final shot, a three-pointer from Jazz guard Randy Foye at the buzzer to put Utah ahead by 3. For the Jazz, the team has a one-day rest before having to host the Los Angeles Lakers (4-0) at Energy Solutions Arena. For the Grizzlies, they will look for their first victory of the season when they head out on the road to face the Milwaukee Bucks (0-2) in Wisconsin.
