11/13/13
This is something I will post at the middle of the month every month. I will be going through players that are still on their rookie contracts, and see their progress this year.
Step Foward
1.

John Wall is averaging 22.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 9.8 APG, and 1.5 SPG. He is shooting 46.9% from the field, but only has a 17.07 PER because of his 4.0 turnovers so far.
2.

MKG is one of the main reasons the Bobcats are 4-2 at this point. He is averaging 19.3 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 5.1 APG, 2.6 SPG, 1.6 BPG, and 54% FG%. He also has a team high 25.66 PER, which is up more than 10 points from his previous seasons 14.04.
3.

Last year, Andre Drummond proved that he could play in the NBA, and this year he was out to prove that hecould start in the NBA. So far, he has shown promise with 10.4 PPG, 11 RPG, 1.1 SPG, and 1.3 BPG.
Step Back
1.

Al-Farouq Aminu has been given a couple of years to start as a SF, but this year may be the make or break year, as the Hornets have some cap space and may add pieces to push for the playoffs. In the first 7 games, he has 4.0 PPG and 4.1 RPG with a 20% FG% and 1.45 PER in 30.1 MPG.
2.

After having his stock drop when he was coming into the draft, Harrison Barnes showed that he has NBA potential. However, he has been given more minutes this year, and is struggling to produce. His PER is 0.95 in 33.4 MPG. He is averaging 8.6 PPG and 3.0 RPG with an 26.9 FG%.
3.

This is definitely the make or break year for Evan Turner. There were some rumors of trades last year, and the rumors are coming again this year. His scoring efficiency is improving, with his FG% growing from 41.9% to 47.3%. However, he has 4.5 APG but 3.3 TOPG. His PER is also around the same as it was last year, and he isn't improving like fans and management wish he was.
