After the Madness - Complete 30-Team Association

Hey again everyone. I hate having to do this, but due to a broken Xbox, I have to restart my association AGAIN! This time, I will be on the PC, using the creations from the threads: http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=91569 and http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=91893. I will be starting with a draft recap, and i will be imitating everything as close to the life decisions as possible. Hope everyone has fun reading this!

    NBA 2013 Draft Recap

The Cavs shock everyone by selecting Anthony Bennett with the first pick of the draft.

    Round 1

    Round 2

    Best Picks
#1: Ben McLemore -> This was a steal for the Kings at 7. With the uncertainty of Tyreke's future, this pick could turn into a cornerstone piece of the franchise.
#2: Trey Burke -> The trade that was able to ship Burke to the Jazz makes the Jazz look even better for the future, with Burke, Burks, Favors, and Kanter.
#3: Dennis Schroeder -> Dennis has one of the highest potentials of any player in the draft, and his value at 17 is a clear steal.

    Worst Picks
#1: Steven Adams -> Once a believer of the James Harden trade, the Playoff results and the dismal pick of Steven Adams has me doubting the trade.
#2: Anthony Bennett -> I may regret this statement, but Bennett does have one of the highest bust potentials of any recent #1 pick.
#3: Otto Porter -> Trust me, Otto Porter is a very solid prospect, and could turn into a very solid starter in the NBA, but that seems to be his ceiling.

    Best Trades
#1: Pelicans -> The Pelicans were able to turn a 6th pick into a proven, young all-star point guard.
#2: Jazz -> Trey Burke could be the second best acquired PG during this draft behind Jrue Holiday, and it only cost the Jazz the 14th and 21st draft picks.

    Worst Trades
#1: Mavs -> The Mavs made a good first trade, but their second trade shed minimal salary, and if they lose out on Dwight Howard, their lost chance of picking Dennis Schroeder will also weigh on their minds.
#2 -> 76ers -> Unless the 1st round pick of the future turns into someone special, the value of MCW and Nerlens Noel won't match up to Jrue Holiday.

    Biggest Bust Chances
    #1: Anthony Bennett
    #2: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
    #3: Nerlens Noel

    Biggest Sleeper Chances
    #1: Dennis Schroeder
    #2: Ricky Ledo
    #3: Andre Roberson

        BREAKING NEWS

The Nets and Celtics have struck a deal that will change the landscape of the NBA. Full details are as follows:

        Analysis and Grade

Celtics: It's not surprising that the Celtics had to make some sort of trade because their current was stuck in between a Playoff and title team. However, the 3 first-rounders they reserve may all be very low, so the value of this trade diminishes, but they did snag Marshon Brooks, who has unlimited potential. Grade: C+
Nets: Even though Pierce and Garnett are on the decline, they are still above-average starters, and that gives the Nets a scary starting lineup of D-Will, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, KG, and Brook Lopez. The also have a player that has title experience in Jason Terry, and one of the lesser-known things that I feel will make this deal even better is KG's chance to teach Brook Lopez things about being a big man, which will elevate Lopez's game. Grade: B+

          BREAKING NEWS

The Clippers have been able to ship off Bledsoe, while the Suns have found a potential franchise PG.

          Analysis and Grade
Clippers: The Clippers are able to acquire two solid, and potential starters, for Eric Bledsoe, who has amazing potential, but was not able to help the Clippers win a title. Grade: B
Bucks: The Bucks did a good job of turning J.J. Redick, who was leaving the team anyways, into 2 2nd rounders. However, their dismal acquisition of J.J. Redick turned into a useless one year rental. Grade: C
          Suns:
The Suns have received a potential franchise point guard for only giving up Jared Dudley. Grade: A+

Re: After the Madness - Complete 30-Team Association

                  EARLY SIGN-AND-TRADES

The Sacramento were clearly going nowhere with Tyreke Evans, and even though he was a restricted free agent, the Kings organization decided not to match an offer sheet, and instead just acquired Greivis Vasquez. Also, the Pelicans shipped Robin Lopez to the Trail Blazers in this sign-and-trade.

Andre Iguodala had his pick of teams, and he was an hour away from signing a contract with the Dallas Mavericks. However, the Warriors were able to clear cap space by a sign-and-trade with the Jazz and Nuggets, allowing Iguodala to sign with a team that is in a city he wants to play in. The Warriors get Iguodala, Kevin Murphy, and a 2nd rounder, the Jazz get Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson, Brandon Rush, 1st rounder, and multiple future conditional second rounders, and the Nuggets get Randy Foye.

                    SMALLER TRADES

Andrea Bargnani is looking for a fresh start, and frankly, I do not know why the Knicks did this trade. Bargnani was acquired for Marcus Camby, Steve Novak, Quentin Richardson, 2016 1st-rounder, and 2 2nd-rounders.

Royce White has been shipped to the 76ers for draft considerations. He is a worthy risk, and the 76ers only plan to use him as cap space, as they are thinking about not picking up his rookie team options.

                        WHERE WILL HE GO?
                        FREE AGENCY PREVIEW

Dwight Howard has his picks of teams that he can join. Where will he land, and where are the rest of the best free agents looking to go?

                        PG
                        1. Chris Paul -> most likely resigning with the Clippers
                        2. Brandon Jennings (R) -> could be leaving, depends on who the Bucks sign
                        3. Nate Robinson -> unknown, how certain are people of his performance last year?
                        4. Jeff Teague (R) -> could be one of the most underrated PG in the league, will the Hawks match any contract?
                        5. Jose Calderon -> could he finally play on a good team, or is he destined to help a bottom-conference squad

                        SG
                        1. Manu Ginobili -> would he dare leave SA?
                        2. O.J. Mayo -> how good do teams think he is actually going to be?
                        3. Monta Ellis -> he declined a $11 million dollar year, hopefully seeking a good team
                        4. Tyreke Evans (R) -> will a change of scenery give his career a fresh start?
                        5. Kevin Martin -> How much money do to the Thunder want to invest into him?

                        SF

                        1. Josh Smith -> is he worthy of a max contract?
                        2. Corey Brewer -> do any teams think he can start?
                        3. Stephen Jackson -> how much is left in the tank?
                        4. Matt Barnes -> is he worth the money, for the off-court issues he can bring?
                        5. Dorrell Wright -> where is his career at now, after his injury time last year?

                        PF
                        1. Paul Millsap -> a very solid player, who gets him, and how much do they pay?
                        2. David West -> will he really not be playing for the Pacers next year?
                        3. Elton Brand -> he showed that he can still contribute last year
                        4. Brandan Wright -> very energetic and efficient player off the bench
                        5. Kenyon Martin -> helped the Knicks with their lack of front-court depth

                        C
                        1. Dwight Howard -> where will he take his talents?
                        2. Andrew Bynum -> who will take a chance on this former all-star, who is still only 25
                        3. Al Jefferson -> very good starter, can't go wrong signing this big man
                        4. J.J. Hickson -> had very good numbers last year, could he go back to his natural PF position this year?
                        5. Nikola Pekovic (R) -> the Timberwolves should be looking to match any offer made on this big man

                        *question for everyone*
Do yall think its better to wait for the free agency to completely end, or just decide on a few other players myself? Any input is welcome, and requested.
