The Parker Name: Trey Parker's Career

Alright. So after reading a couple of dynasties on here, I have decided to try this on my own. I give a lot of credit to trekfan because he had helped me figure some things out. This is also my first time doing a 30 Team Association too so bear with me if I get something wrong (which I don't think will happen much). I will be running these settings:

    Roster: Default as of 2/15/13
    Sliders: Custom
    Quarter Length: 10 Minutes
    Sim Quarter Length: 12 Minutes
    Draft Class: SuperMario_29
    Season Length: 82 games
    Playoff Format: 7-7-7-7
Injuries: On (lowered frequency and severity to make realism)
    Progressive Fatigue: On
    Player Roles: Off
    Team Chemistry: On
    CPU Trades: Off
    Trade Overide: Off
    Preseason Games: On

As previously stated, this is my first 30 Team Association and my first thread on Operation Sports too. So please bear with me if I get any technical errors. I plan on paying attention to on and off the court aspects.

I do plan on playing about a third of the games or at least 3 games a month. I can't promise to post every game I play because that may get boring and lengthy.

Please be welcome to post any replies you want. I welcome all criticism. I hope you guys enjoy.

The Parker Name: Trey Parker's Career

    October 14th, 2012

"Ugh. This place is so small. I wish I could move out, but that's right, no money" Trey Parker pointed out while throwing down his suit case.

Trey Parker lived in a small, cheap studio apartment. It was dirty. It was cramped, and not very spacey. It had one couch, a small entertainment center, an old TV on top, a couple night stands, a kitchen, bed and a bathroom. What made it even worse, other than the small space, was that there was stacks of paper everywhere.

Trey was a scout for the Portland Trail Blazers. This was his 3rd team in the last 5 years, trying to find the biggest pay check. He started out with the Golden State Warriors where he found the talent of Anthony Randolph and Stephen Curry. He then went to the Milwaukee Bucks where he wasn't given the credit of suggesting the pick of Larry Sanders and trading for potential high Tobias Harris. After being fired by the Bucks, he landed with the Trail Blazers in late 2011. He again was not given credit for a big chunk of recruiting prospect Damian Lillard. Now he stands with a cheap 1 year deal for $225,000 dollars, which is not enough to pay for college and a nice house.

"Another long day of work. I gotta get out more. I need to find that special girl. What happened to the guy I was in college?" question Trey as he starting laying down on the couch, closing his eyes.

    .................................................. ..................................................

"What a prospect in Trey Parker. He played football, basketball and baseball in his High School Days" Rece Davis was interupted.

"Not to forget he was the best on the team in all three sports. Playing QB and TE for football, SF for basketball and 1B for baseball. He was a three sport all star. He was the 13th best dual threat quarter back before making his decision to play basketball. When he committed to the University of Michigan, he was the 3rd best player in the nation" Jalen Rose added.

"And now he is in the biggest game of his life, the National Championship! The Michigan Wolverines play the Kansas Jayhawks!" Rece Davis pointed out.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, that is it for us. We will let you listen in as Rece Davis and Dickie Vitale will announce the game coming up in a half an hour. Enjoy your time and we will see you again!" Rose ended the show.

    .................................................. .................................................. .

"With the game coming down to this last possesion, who will Michigan go to to win the game. Only being down by 2. The score is 101 Kansas, 99 Michigan. I believe they will try to hand the ball off to Parker, who has 25 points with 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. What a game he is having." Dickie Vitale spoke his opinion.

"For sure Dickie. But with the ball being inbounded to Dion Harris. He will pass multiple times. The clock is at 5. The ball passed to Parker behind the three. He goes up for the trey, it is in the air before the buzzer. And it..." Rece Davis announces.

Bang. Bang. Bang. Trey suddenly jumps up from the couch to realize that someone is at the door.

"Trey. I know your in there. Your never anywhere else" longtime friend Chris Harris yelled through the door. He too is a scout for the Portland Trail Blazers.

      "I'm coming" Trey yelled back.

      "What's up man?" Chris asked.

"Not much. Thinking about college basketball. That game" Trey responded.

"You gotta stop thinking about that game. It was a tough shot. Not even Chris Paul could have made that shot. You spent 3 years in the NBA trying to recoup. You at least had a shot at what not many people did. Quit moping and enjoy life" Chris tried encouraging Trey.

"Alright. Are we going out tonight?" Trey asked.

"As long as you don't mope all night about that missed shot. You almost won. It was 2 lousy points. We can talk basketball tomorrow. Let's go." Chris tried warming him up.

Good start here. A former college star, washed out of the NBA, looking to redeem himself for a previous basketball related failure ... I like it. Something different. He's obviously got the talent to scout but he needs the credit, which others are taking (happens often in any type of workplace). Looks like he's got a good friend in Chris, but Trey seems a bit down on himself. A night on the town should help.

        Looking forward to more.
        Any comments are welcome.

Thank you. I have some interesting ideas going on. Just gotta do a process of elimination to realize which ones I want and which ones i don't. Chris is serious about Trey. You're right, Trey is really down on him. Hopefully he can rebound his career.

"What time is it?" Trey asked in a confusing, raspy voice.

"1:30!!!! And I'm not awake yet!!!! Where is Chris. He said he would come by to pick me up. I never over sleep a door knock". He looked at his phone and realized he had 2 text messages and 1 voice mail.

"I guess I'll read the text messages first".

            Chris (3:38 A.M.):
Wow. What a fantastic night man. Thanks man
            Chris (2:03 A.M.)
TREY!!!!! Answer your phone. It's important. Call Him Back
Trey turned on ESPN before listening to his voicemail. He found out that 3 new GM jobs have opened up, Milwaukee, New Orleans and Charlotte. All three GM's have been fired on mutual respect.

"A little fishy that three of the leagues worst teams have fired there GM's on mutual respect??? Oh Well."

"Nothing interesting. I suppose. Let's here this voicemal"

            This is your new voicemail
Hello Trey Parker. I am calling for your services. For the time being my name will be undisclosed until our meeting. Would you please meet me at the Everest Restaurant in Chicago. I have a unique job interview awaiting for you
"What can this be about? Why not see what It is about. Seems creepy but sure. What the heck. Now what are prices to chicago for today? Where the heck is the Everest Restaurant?"

This is a really interesting storyline! I can't wait to see where Parker lands, and what steps he is able to make. It is about time he gets the credit he deserves if he was instrumental in finding all of those young, talented, players in his scouting career!

              Looking forward to more updates!

The Parker Name: Trey Parker's Career

                  October 16th, 2013

"Hey Chris. I gotta leave town for an interview." Trey had just called to tell Chris about his mysterious phone call.

"I told you to return that call. Did he say who it was?" Chris had to have him in this. He was anxious.

"No, not yet. He told me to fly out to the Everest Restaurant in Chicago and meet him there tonight. I got another text from him to meet him at 6:30 at table 9. I wonder who it is" Trey was curious. He figured it was a scouting job, but to be a scout for the Bulls. That means he was getting somewhere. It excited him. He wanted to be somebody of importance his whole life and this was the next step.

"You know, three teams are looking for a new General Manager!!! News"...

"Of this morning. I know. Your favorite quote. It's probably just a scouting job. Hopefully for the Bulls."

"Maybe. Or maybe not. But don't go into your depressing stage during this. That's the last thing you need. Try to avoid you previous basketball experience, allright? And have a good time while your at it. Maybe meet some pretty ladies? Don't go after no grandma's either. Thats not cute. Live the 26 year old live"

"Only you Chris. Only you. And I will. I'll call you after whatever it is. I'll keep you updated. See ya soon man"

                  "See ya bro"

                  .................................................. ............................................

A four hour plane ride, is long. Trey has never been fond of planes. They offer no form of entertainment and phones can never get service (no wonder why). The whole plan ride was spent on sports websites looking at the next set of kids. At a first look, it is a 'weak' draft class. This class offers skill and potential but are harder to find. I like Nerlens Noel, McLemore has upside but shaky confidence, Burke is tremendous but lacks what some people want of athleticism, and as many questions as Shabazz Muhammed has around him, he has potential and natural ability, everything else missing can be taught.

                  .................................................. ............................................

Chicago is definitely no Portland. More traffic, a different feeling of a city, and probably a bigger population. It is 5:30. The plane is a half an hour late and it is really disappointing. I scraped up enough money to buy a chauffeur to lead me through town. I arrived at the Everest Restaurant at 6:15 which is amazing times for Chicago. To my surprise, nobody was there. With this new information, I was reluctant to enter the shop. I was a little bit scared as to what would happen. For 15 minutes I stood outside debating if this is what I wanna do. I walked in anyways. I found my way to table 9 and sat there.

20 minutes have passed and its now 6:50. A little irritated, Trey would wait another 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes was up, he was about to leave until he saw the doors clash open.

Trey saw this shorter man (but not many were shorter than him at 6'6"), he was dressed in nothing but obviously looking wealth. From shoulders to feet, he was dressed in the most modern apparel and all expensive too. He would a 1971 Bucks Championship hat. Then he saw on his hand was a 1971 Bucks Championship ring.

                  "Hello, Trey"

                  "Hello, sir Herb Kohl"

                  "Just call me Herb"

"Alright, will do". Even working for the Bucks for two years, he had never seen the owner/politician Herb Kohl. Kohl never wanted to do anything with his Front Office or care about his players. It was a little bit disturbing how he though the Front Office shouldn't do anything with their players.

"Do you know why your here, Trey"

"I do not. At first I thought this was gonna be a scouting interview for the Bulls. But now that I see your here, I guess that wouldn't make sense would it?"

"No. It wouldn't. You wanna eat"

"Nah. I'm not very hungry but thank you"

"Alright then. Straight to business. What do you think I want?"

"I would probably guess to come back to the scouting for the Bucks?"

"You got it half right. I know through a close friend of ours that you were actually responsible for the findings of Larry Sanders, Tobias Harris, Damian Lillard, Anthony Randolph and Stephen Curry. That's a pretty impressive track record! Can I ask you a few questions?"

"Sure". Just like that the interview had gone on and Trey had no idea what the interview was for. He thought it was for the scouting job again.

After and hour and a half, the interview got done.

"Well, I think I figured out what I want to know! Would you like to be the new General Manager of the Milwaukee Bucks" Kohl asked his last question.

"Whoa. Whoa. Wow. I'm sorry, this came to me as a surprise. I figured this was a scouting interview. Yes, I would gladly accept the job!!"

"Nice. Well, I got other things going on so I will see you in Milwaukee on the 18th? In your new office?"

"Definitely, and it was nice meeting you" Trey ended it with a handshake.

All Trey had to say at the end was "Wow".

"Chris. Listen. I've got a preposition for you. Call me back when you get a chance. You don't need my number, you got it already. Call me back"

Wow. After an hour, still wow. Out to party. Hopefully Chris will call back during that time. The press won't know till the 19th about the General Management so these next days can be used for partying. Party in Chi Town tonight, Portland tomorrow and than Milwaukee the next day. Maybe Chris will join too?

                    4 1/2 hours later

"Thanks for the great time guys. But, I need someone to drive me home. I'm not nearly in shape" Trey said while tumbling forward.

"Alright. A hotel I take it" the driver said. "Did you have fun sir"

"Oh Ya. But I have a lot ahead of. of. of. whats the word I want. Oh. Ahead of me."

"Your sure you will be alright sir? You seem to be forgetting how to talk a little bit sir"

                    "What time is it?"

                    "3 A.M. sir"

"Whoa. Man. Good ole college days huh?"

                    .................................................. .................................................. .

"Whose bed am I in?". Trey had no clue which hotel he was in but he at least knew where he was. "Wow. That was a crazy night". As Trey gets up he checks his phone again. 4 Voicemails.

                    Chris (8:45 P.M.)
Hey Trey. I got you message. Hit me up when you gotta chance seemed important.
                    Chris (10 P.M.)
Trey. What's Up? Whenever you have something important on your mind, you always get back ASAP. Where you been bro?
                    Chris (12 A.M.)
TREY! Where you at my brother? Your starting to freak me a little. Call back!!!
                    Chris (2:45 A.M.)
TREY!!!!!!! YOUR SERIOUSLY SCARING ME!!!! Where are you at.
"Crap. Gotta call him back. I'm sorry chris"

"Trey. Come on man, that stunt wasn't you. Where were you"

"I followed your example. I went out and partied. I'm really sorry I didn't get back to you. I'm also sorry you were scared like that"

"Oh. It's alright man. Now that I know you were partying, it's all good now. What preposition do you need?"

"Do you wanna still be a scout? I got the job as the new general manager of the Milwaukee Bucks. I want you to be my assistant general manager"

"Wow. What happened to just a little scouting interview. Haha. Sure. I'll do it. I'll inform the Blazers that we are resigning from scouting to take over the general manager jobs of the Milwaukee Bucks. They should then realize how great of a scout you were. So what do you think about the Bucks"

"Well. It's a tough situation. They got decent pieces their. But their streaky shooting and inconsistent play can knock them out too. Our whole season rides on how well we can consistently play at all positions. We have a good front court in Sanders and Henson. I rather like Ilyasova at the 3 but his contract is a killer. I don't know about him. And Jennings and Ellis at the 1 and 2. But we will talk about this after we party in Portland. I'll see you at Sea-Tac International Airport. Maybe we can celebrate in Seattle a little bit. See ya."

                    "Yup. See ya soon"

Chris tries to forget about the college basketball season as much as he tries to get Trey to forget. Chris was another Michigan player with Trey but not as used. Chris had talent but was raw. While Trey left after his freshman season, Chris stayed for all four becoming a good starter in the end. He didn't have enough and his confidence was destroyed by the critics. Chris wanted to forget about it right away. He was ashamed. After college in 2008, he left to scout in Portland. This is where the two met again.

The Parker Name: Trey Parker's Career

                      October 18th, 2012

"Hello Trey. May I ask who this is?" Kohl was confused.

"This is my best friend Chris Walker. He played with me at Michigan. I have invited him with me to Milwaukee as my assistant GM, if that's alright with you sir?" Trey really wanted Chris with him so if he said no, Chris would find a spot somewhere with the Bucks.

"Sure. I'll set him up an office tomorrow right across the hall. How's the office Trey?"

                      "It's great. Good view"

The truth is, the view was amazing. It's no skyline like Miami or New York, but being born a little up north in Green Bay, this was a miracle. His whole life he grew up believing in the Bucks but always being disappointed. He loved Milwaukee as a child and always wondered what this view would look like. But this is marvelous.

"So, Trey and Chris. Tomorrow is a big day. You both will need to show up in this office at 10:30 A.M. so we can get ready for your introduction press conference. Be careful with what you say. Because this is the Bucks and the situation we have been in for a long time, the fans will be very picky on what you say"

"Alright sir. We will keep that in mind. Chris and I had a question that we both wanted to know about"

                      "What is it Trey"

"What do you think about entering a rebuilding stage. Maybe even blowing up the roster?"

"Hammond asked the same thing. I will not approve of a rebuild. This team has talent to work with"

"But sir, as much as this team has, It's a streaky team that needs consistency, in which where we can find"

"NOOOO!!!! I've already said I will NOT APPROVE A TEAM REBUILD!!!"

"Alright sir." Trey was very irritated at the stubbornness of Kohl. He definitely has the politician attitude.

"Good. I got things to finish up so I will see you at 10:30 tomorrow" and Kohl just walks out closing the door behind him.

"That was lovely" Chris had to point out.

"Shut up Chris" Trey couldn't hold down a chuckle.

"So what are we gonna do Trey?"

"I don't know yet. I would want to trade Ilyasova at the deadline. That would be ideal. To heavy of a contract for him. Jennings is expendable but Ellis and Sanders can't be touched. Gooden will be getting an amnesty if we can't trade him"

"Alright. We will talk trade partners when we get to that point. I'll see you tomorrow"

                      "Alright Chris. See ya man"

The Parker Name: Trey Parker's Career

                        October 18th, 2012

                        "Hello Trey. Hello Carter"

"It's Chris, sir" Chris was a little bit annoyed but that mistake.

"Watch your tone son. This isn't the time to be changing tones with the fans"

"He is sorry. He won't do it again" Trey jumped in to stop an argument.

"Alright. Do y'all know how to answer your questions?"

                        "We believe so"

"Alright, Trey. I'm trusting you. Let's go"

The three adults walked into the set up table and took a seat.

"Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. I am the owner, Herb Kohl. Before we start, I ask everyone to please ask one question at a time. This is Trey Parker, the new general manager of the Milwaukee Bucks and his good friend Chris Walker who will be Trey's assistant gm. Let the questions begin"

                        A crowd of applause begin.

"Yes sir" Trey gave the permission for the first question.

"How did the Bucks notice a low level scout like yourself to become the next general manager?" the first question was asked.

"Well, like Herb Kohl told me when we first met. He knew me through an old friend that suggested me for the job. I guess Herb Kohl realized that my time with the Bucks organization was better than thought"

"Ok. What do you plan on doing with this roster"

"Well as Kohl had told me, a rebuilding stage is out of the question. So we look at the roster and decide what we want to do. We set expectations and one of them is dealing with coach Scott Skiles. We appreciate what he has done with this organization but realize it may be time for a turn of events. We informed Skiles this morning that he will no longer be apart of the Bucks organization and Jim Boylan will take over the reigns of the head coach. His expectation is to lead us to a competitive first round in the playoffs"

"Quite some planes you got there. Why fire Skiles before the season even started?"

"We felt like previous years were a failure and Chris and I wanted to change some things in our careers. We will see what we can do with this roster that we have and will try to change some things around"

More questions went on for an hour long until the meeting was then closed.

"Good job guys. Go out to eat to celebrate this time"

                        "We will sir"

                        .................................................. ................................................

"After just a couple of days, the Milwaukee Bucks have already found their new gm" John Anderson had pointed out.

"And now we go to Rece Davis for more information" Trey Wingo gave it to Rece Davis.

"Hello guys. The Bucks have found their new general manager. Many people don't know how the Bucks came to this conclusion but they did. They have hired Trey Parker as the Bucks new general manager. He did a professional job of answering questions at his press conference. He showed great confidence when he said that he had fired coach Scott Skiles. It was a crazy move but he seems confident things will change. He may not be a terrible gm either. If he can manage a team as good as he could manage in college, I have hopes for this kid. Thank you and back to John and Trey at sportscenter"
