"His Swishness" Drops 37 to defeat Sonics

NEW YORK - The New York Knicks defeat the new look Seattle SuperSonics in a blowout win, 109-88.

What led the Knicks to victory was J.R. Smith's career high in points. Smith scored 37 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes on 12-19 shooting from the field. Smith went 5-8 from 3 point range, as well as going 8-10 from the line.

Michael Carter-Williams played his highest amount of minutes as a rookie, playing 34 minutes. Carter-Williams scored 18 points on near-perfect shooting, going 7-8.

Carmelo Anthony scored 17, with Iman Shumpert adding 13 and Amare Stoudemire adding 11.

The main scorer for the Sonics was O.J. Mayo, whom scored 21. Luke Ridnour and Brandon Knight each scored 14.

"After the game, they called me "His Swishness".. And I'm like, why? Then they're all, "The fans call you J.R. Swish, so you're "His Swishness"... I just shook my head." J.R. Smith told reporters after the game.

"A fan of mine recently gave me 60 dollars from a bet he won in NBA 2K13.. He scored a bunch of points with me in game. *laughs* So, this game was dedicated to him. I used the 60 dollars to buy him 2K14 because I have no idea why he's still playing 2K13."

Is it a coincidence that the Knicks face the new Charlotte Hornets Tuesday? Owned by "His Airness" himself?

          Knicks Surprise with Another Trade

The New York Knicks, according to multiple reports, have completed a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers for backup Point Guard Jordan Farmar.

The Knicks are sending Beno Udrih, their own backup Point Guard, to the Lakers, along with a second round 2014 draft pick for Jordan Farmar.

Farmar, 26, just returned to the Lakers after playing a season internationally. Farmar seems to be in the Knicks' plans to get younger.

"We've been an older team for longer than I'm comfortable with. Udrih was a great backup at the point, but Farmar is someone who is not only young, but can fill the role well in the same way." Steve Mills said on the trade.

The trade is not official as of yet, however. Farmar and Udrih both need to pass a physical.

But, for the most part, the trade is done.

"We're gonna miss him, but we're getting someone with great IQ in return." Lakers forward Pau Gasol said on the trade. "Can't wait to meet Beno."

Charlotte Steals A Win at the Garden

New York - The Knicks fall to the brand new Charlotte Hornets, much to Micheal Jordan's delight.

"F***ing bull****, man." J.R. Smith said to reporters as he stormed off the court Tuesday night. Smith declined any further comments.

Micheal Carter-Williams, however, who didn't have a bad game at all, and is a humble, down to earth type of guy who does not scare reporters, did speak to reporters.

Reporter: So, you guys lost to the Charlotte Hornets. Anything to say about that?

M.C.W: My teammates tell me Charlotte always manages to steal a win against New York for some reason.

R: You guys face Charlotte again on Thursday. Any plans of revenge in the air?

MCW: Hey man, revenge is wrong. Revenge causes too many bad feelings.

            R: Man you, ain't a hippie!

MCW: *shrugs* Payback is a better word.

R: Ain't that the same thing?

MCW: Maybe. Either way, we're going to come back strong on Thursday.

Carter-Williams scored 18 points, 5 of those points coming in the fourth quarter in his rally for a comeback. Sadly, that comeback was in vain.

The Hornet's leading scorer was Ben Gordon, who dropped 21 points in 21 minutes. Gordon was perfect from the free throw line, going 5 of 5.

We also spoke to Carmelo Anthony, who had a bad outing. Anthony went 4-11 from the field and 1-3 from behind the arc. He did not see any time at the free throw line. In total, Anthony only scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes.

"I have to bleed to get a foul!" Anthony said to reporters after the game. "It's sad that the foul calls are that bad these days. I know this league is not rigged, so why are they acting like it is?"

            When asked about his upcoming player option, with the oppurtunity to opt out of his contract at the end of the season, Melo' responded;

"Look, the season is the season. I'll make the decision when it's time, man. Now's not the time for that. I don't know what I'll do yet. I've said I want to opt out before, but I can change my mind at any time."

Knicks Hold Off Spurs after Melo's Buzzer Beater

New York - The New York Knicks pull away with a win, after Carmelo Anthony knocks down a shot at the buzzer, sealing the win at 103-101.

This was despite a poor shooting performance from both Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith, who went 7 of 20 and 8 of 23 from the field, respectively.

Micheal Carter-Williams scored 15, making half of his ten shots from the field.

Anthony was flawless from the line, hitting all six of his free throws.

On the Spurs side of things, Tim Duncan shows age is just a number, putting up a double double - 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Tony Parker and Stephen Jackson both scored 19. Jackson was signed to San Antonio earlier in November in order to increase depth at their Small Forward position, with Kawhi Leonard being their only dedicated Small Forward at the moment.

"I'm here to do what I can for the team. I learned from the mistakes I made when playing here last year, which led to me being released by the team. I assure there will be no problems this time, and no knocks to our team's chemistry."

The Knicks have a practice scheduled for Tuesday, day before their game on Wednesday in Atlanta.

Knicks next three games: Wednesday @ Atlanta, Thursday vs. Houston, Saturday vs. Atlanta

(I'll only be posting Key Games here now, to speed up the pace.)
