        *Brandon thinking in class*

Man, we lost a tough game last time out...I could have done more, I should have done more. I mean, yeah I played a solid game outside of scoring, but I need to get better at putting the ball through the hoop. Its not like I can't make jumpers, but teams are figuring that out and are forcing me to go inside with the ball. Hopefully all this extra work I've been putting in will start to pay off later in the season.

Oh crap, the teacher is looking at me...she knows I'm not paying attention. Gotta bring it back in quick here, luckily Psychology is my strong suit. Time to listen to what she's talking about for a second and respond to the next question.

Eventually, the dog learned to associate the sound of the bell with the food, so the bell ringing produced the same salivation as the sight of the food did originally.

Phew! Thank god I love reading about this stuff, or else I may not of done the reading. Back to basketball though, thankfully I'm good at this school thing...lets me have a bunch of time to think during the day.

Belltown High School Tigers @ Brother Rice High School Warriors

                Locker Room Discussion

Coach Anderson: Brother Rice today guys on their floor! We've gotta go out there and attack right from the get go. Apply the defensive pressure and just build that lead up early and never let up. The lineup changes have been adjusted; we've got Tyree starting at center and Cole welcome back to the lineup.
I'm depending on you guys out there, let's just make this short stop and continue the undefeated cheers.

Assistant Coach Plath: Yes, let's stick with the typical game plan, play strong defense and just do what Belltown does. We complete the task we get the win and we're all winners so let's go out there and get it.

                Coach Anderson: Tigers on 3; 1, 2, 3
                TIGERS, TIGERS, TIGERS
                Team:

Belltown Tigers @ Brother Rice Warriors Belleville

Belltown High School, Coach Anderson Pre-Prep
Coach Anderson:Ok guys here we are at Brother Rice. They don't look to be too tall from here but I've heard that they're a perfect 2-0 so far but I think we've got this game. Let's push the ball like always, wear them out fast, dominate with our size, and crash those boards.
We've got Jerry, Jeremy, Cole, Christian, and Tyree in the starting five. Tyree I'm depending on you to show me that talent is in effect in actual games. Let's go!
                    Alright Tigers on 3; 1, 2, 3
                    TIGERS

                    First Quarter
PA Announcer: Visiting team's center takes the tip off.
PA Announcer: Belltown dumps the ball inside and a foul is committed by Filiberto Brett.
PA Announcer: At the line is Tyree Levell, he misses the first, and nails the second attempt. Score 1-0.

PA Announcer: Belltown's Tyree Levell scores his third point of game with a jump shot.
PA Announcer: The offensive rebound is captured by Filiberto Brett and he's fouled on the putback.
PA Announcer: He goes 1-2 at the charity stripe.
PA Announcer: Offensive rebound is grabbed by Christian Carter and layed back in.
PA Announcer: Fadeaway jumper is hit from Brother Rice. Score 5-3 with 6:10 left.
                    --
PA Announcer: And a slam dunk is flushed by Belltown's Christian Carter. Score now 9 to 3.
PA Announcer: Tyree Levell makes a huge block on defense following Belltown's dunk.

PA Announcer: A substitution is made on the floor for both teams with 4:00 left.
                    --
PA Announcer: Turnover on Belltown and Brother Rice makes another substitution.

PA Announcer: Two points, Jeremy Dean. Brother Rice calls timeout.
                    --
Coach Anderson: Good work guys, good work. Just keep this zone up and we've already got this game in the books. Tyree I'm loving the effort, keep being aggressive out there, Brother Rice is afraid of you man.
Jeremy I'm going to rest you and I want Eury to sub in.
                    --
PA Announcer: THREE! On target by number 38, Porter Jospeh, his first of the season!
PA Announcer: Two points for Belltown's Adrian Hines.

PA Announcer: Terrell Augustine at the line shooting two. Substitution made after Terrell makes the first... He makes the second for a 2-2.
PA Announcer: Belltown's Harper with a three pointer. Brother Rice trails 20-12 with 34 seconds remaining in the first.
                    --
PA Announcer: Gayle Sonny throws up a halfcourt heave and it falls short. And that's the first quarter your Warriors 12, visiting Belltown 20.

Coach Anderson: Ok so we're obviously winning at the moment but from my perspective, we should be winning by over 30 right now. This team is playing absolutely terrible but none of you guys want to really step up therefore we're stuck in this hole. We're going to switch to the zone defense because Brother Rice appears to be a horrendous shooting team so this can potentially be a lock down for their offense.
And PUSH the ball up the floor come on guys! Don't know how much it needs to be stressed! Push the ball, push the ball, push the ball!

Let's have the starters get back on the floor except for you Tyree. I'm going to give you a rest for a while then I'll call you when you're needed again.

I had defered in the 1st half because of my cold but coach was right. These folks should be trailing by a lot more. It would be hassle if they were to continue to hang around.......looks like I'm gonna have to be more assertive.
                        Yep Yep.......I'm just that good

Belltown Wins 71-43 - Locker Room

Coach Anderson: Very good game out there tonight. We're all playing phenomenally as a complete team and when that happens, we win games.

Everything will just flow together and that'll be the way we shape out our season and get that chip when everything is over.

So once again I'm proud of all of you, go get dressed.

The JV Tigers have continued their strive for an undefeated season after they're big 71-43 win over Brother Rice.

The star of the night was forward Jeremy Dean once again who scored over 20 point for the second straight game. He filled the stat sheet with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assist, and 2 blocks. Christian Carter played a role of a tenacious rebounder of the night with 11 rebounds including 7 from the offensive end.

All in all the junior varsity showed up and played great basketball to gain the win. Their defense put Brother Rice in a difficult standpoint as they struggled to get anything going while the Tigers got on their role and couldn't be stopped.

Next stop for Belltown athletics is Romulus on December 12th. Be there to support your Tigers!
