Omari had a good day. He goes to the meeting before he'll get prepared for the game with the team

I don't remember if I have a CAP in this but I'm interested. If you want I could send you a (new?) player in a PM tonight.

Re: Restoring the Fear: A Belltown Tigers Legacy

I sent you a PM with my new guy, but just in case you didn't get it I'm gonna post him here.

          BIO
          Name: Damian Parker
          GPA: 3.9
          Class (Fr, So, etc): So
          Position: PG/SF
Back story: Damian is a basketball junkie, and a workout junkie. Every summer he copies the legendary 6-hour Kobe workout routine, and while everyone else is lounging at the beach everyday, he's at the gym putting in work. He's an elite athletic specimen, and people have often joked to him that he's 'a black guy in a white guys body', because he makes plays that most 'white guys' can't. He's played small forward for most of his career, but when he got to high school at the small private school of Briarwood Prep, they needed a point guard so he made the move. The transition was up and down. He had some great nights, where his sheer athletic ability dominated against inferior private school competition, but other games, his inexperience running an offense showed, as he averaged more turnovers than assists, and was largely inefficient. This may have had to do with him playing on a team that went a pitiful 9-19, so he was pretty much the only good player on the team. His dad got a new job opportunity in Belltown, so he is transferring. Now in a new city, Damian is still working. Focusing on his ability to be a court general, he feels confident heading into the new year. However, he's never been exposed to this level of competition and he will need to adjust to the speed, since he won't be as dominant athletically as he was at Briarwood. When he's not working on his game, he's usually buried in textbooks, as his parents pressure him to get near-perfect grades, since they don't think he's good enough to make it into school with basketball (a topic of much controversy in the Parker household), so he spends hours and hours on his schoolwork and enrolls in the toughest courses available. He is smart, so he can handle it, but it doesn't offer him much in terms of free time, so his social life wasn't very plentiful at Briarwood, and moving to a new school won't help in that area. He's never had a girlfriend, never having time for one, and rarely goes out; when he does, it's with his teammates. He's not known as a vocal guy in the locker room, but he's still a natural leader and has a presence. He's a coachable guy and willing to do whatever is necessary for the team, and he hates losing more than anything in the world. He'd rather go 1-31 in a win than go 30-31 in a loss.
          Girlfriend: N/A (for now)

          Physicals
          Height: 5'11" (6'2" as a senior)
          Weight: 130 lbs (176 as a senior)
Recent Injuries?: Lower back strain in 8th grade, broken wrist in kindergarten, nothing else.

          Strengths and Weaknesses
          PG-SF
          Inside Game: A
          Outside Game: D-
          Ball Handling: C+
          Athleticism: A+
          Defensive I.Q. B+
          Offensive I.Q. B
Rebounding (Scale Of PG-SF Not Every Position): A-
          Work Ethic (OS Activeness): A-
          Leadership: A

          Scouting Report
Damian is a great athlete, and is unstoppable when he gets to the rim. His jump shot is a work in progress, and he needs to work on his ball handling and ability to run an offense, as he is new to the point guard position. He's a leader on the court and off, and has a lot of potential. He's got solid length, and is left handed.

School was boring. I can't stop thinking about going home and working on my game, just like I do everyday

Damian: Got up at 5 today and hit the gym at the rec center. Dad and I worked on some drills for a bit, did some conditioning, and some lifting. School didn't start until 8:30, and the bus didn't come until 8, so I got a good 2 hours in before hitting the showers and getting ready for school. School was alright, but it's a big adjustment from Briarwood. I knew public school would be different, but this is ridiculous. I guess the first day is always rough. Meeting for the basketball team after school though, so I guess it's perfect timing. I met a few people who seem chill in my classes, but I didn't make any legit friends really. There was that girl in Chem, but I forget her name... Whatever, I'm just ready to hit the court again, gotta keep working if I'm gonna get some real PT. This isn't Briarwood, this is a big time high school with some big time players.
