Journey to Take LA
"We have to be the best, strong team in this division," snarled Clippers' small forward Matt Barnes in response to a question asked by a reporter. "I feel like Doc was a big upgrade for us, as well as JJ and and Jared n all. We will need more steppin up from some key guys, lookin at you Blake. I feel like the only thing that could keep us from a title is the (expletive) that Stern makes us go through just to get the (expletive) of the (expletive) rigged postseason. I mean I'll expect he'll let the Heat (expletive) their way to finals n all, but trust me, we (expletive) got this guys! That's it folks, that's all the crap that needs to be said."

Re: Journey to Take LA
Clips struggle in opener, losing 75-80 to their archrival, the LA Lakers. The Clippers offense looked shaky in the first game under Doc Rivers, but the Clips defense shown as they held Kobe to .200% shooting in the loss. Chris Paul led the Clips with 13 points, but struggled to spread the ball around, garnering only 4 assists and 3 turnovers. Collision was clearly the best player on the Clips receiving 6 assists and 7 points. Deandre Jordan was horrific, not scoring a single point and letting Kaman dominate him inside. "I feel like we have some things to work on," commented Paul on the loss, "But I feel like we worked hard and will start being more successful soon!" When reporters asked Barnes, who had a team leading 14 rebounds, about how he felt about the loss and his fine dealt hours later, all he would say was, "That result was a fluke, I mean Blake only got 8 and 9, he's a really good guy, we won't let the Lakers steal another from us." The Clippers face off against the Golden State Warriors on October 31st, which will be their first home game.Last edited by ufsports; 11-29-2013, 11:28 PM. -
Re: Journey to Take LA
Chris Paul Hits Game Winner Against Warriors
The scored was tied at 73 with 5 seconds left to go, and when Blake Griffin snagged the rebound from Stephen Curry's miss, he knew who the ball had to go to. "Hehe," Griffin laughed at his interviewer's question, "I mean Chris [Paul] is our best guy. He is our best scorer, defender, and distributer. On top of all that, he is so (expletive) clutch any day of the week!" Paul had 16 points and 14 assists; when he was on the field the offense ran smoothly, however Collision could not boast the same level of success. Deandre Jordan had 3 blocks, Jamison had 2. Griffin only had 4 rebounds to go along with his 13 points, and all of the Clippers' frontcourt to rebound, allowing 10 second chance points.
The Clippers again played tough defense, and the Warriors struggle to shoot the three, shooting only 30% from the three. The only reason Golden State was able to keep of the game was Bogut, who snagged 10 boards, most of them on the offensive end.
When asked by reporters about his performance during the game, Matt Barnes replied: "We did the best we could, the ball was spread around, I completely blame myself for not grabbing those boards. We just need to start hitting more shots and dominating. I did feel like we held back a little bit because there is another game tomorrow, which is complete (expletive) that there are still back-to-backs in today's society.
The Clippers' next game is at Sacramento (0-1) on November 1st. Paul is still struggling with knee tendonitis, but he will be asked to guard Marcus Thornton, who is averaging 28 pointsLast edited by Maximusprime007; 11-30-2013, 02:26 PM.Watch the Timberwolves rise up!

Re: Journey to Take LA
Clippers Lose on Road Again
After another heartbreaker loss to a supposedly "easy" team, the Clippers team with title aspirations is rightfully frustrated. On the second night of a back-to-back, the Clippers lost by two points to the Sacramento Kings, a loss in part due to the 20 point 8 assist game by Isiah Thomas, and struggles with the Clippers' frontcourt.
"I just couldn't shut him down," says Paul about Thomas' good game. "He's a really great player and he got the better of me tonight. I congratulate him on this game."
Not all players on the Clippers went about describing the loss in such kind words. Matt Barnes complained, "This is complete (expletive), I mean there shouldn't be back ta back games in the NBA nowadays. Chris was playing through so (expletive) pain, it is just not fair. I am going to take this (expletive) and I'm going to take this to David Stern's desk in the morning. Oh wait. (Expletive) Anyways, I'm looking forward to kicking the (expletive) of the Rockets. The way they were hyped up, they must think that they're just a big bad wolf. Hehe."Last edited by Maximusprime007; 11-30-2013, 07:19 PM.Watch the Timberwolves rise up!

Re: Journey to Take LA
Crawford will be suspended one game for the attempted strangling of JJ Redick at practice. This kind of behavior is not supported by the Clippers. The game he will miss is against the Houston Rockets at Staples Center.
Also, the Clippers have announced that Lakers' tickets do not work for Clippers' games even though both teams use the same arena.Watch the Timberwolves rise up!

Re: Journey to Take LA
Clippers Blow Out Rockets
From the moment the game started, the Clippers just dominated. Their bench had the best game of the season, which may have been due to Jamal Crawford's absence due to suspension (which has reportedly been drastically increased with more information coming soon). The star of the game is shared between two people: JJ Reddick and Chris Paul. Paul has been having a great season despite playing through pain, but Reddick was a bit of a surprise due to his struggles fitting in. In this game, however, he took advantage of weak defensive coverage from James Harden to have his best game of the season.
"I feel like it was a team effort," said Matt Barnes when asked about how he thought the team had played, "I mean for me personally, I did struggle in some facets of my game, but I feel like working for the team was great!" His earlier comments (and confidence) were apparently well deserved as the Clippers never led by less than nine points after the first quarter.
James Harden struggled to get into an offensive rhythm as did Dwight Howard, in a large part due to the fact that Blake Griffin dominated all players on the glass not named Marcus Camby, who, in his first active game of the collected 10 rebounds.
The Clippers' (2-2) next game is on the road against the rebuilding Orlando Magic(3-1)

Clippers' player Jamal Crawford is currently serving another month-long suspension for the attempted throttle of Doc Rivers. The type of behavior Mr. Crawford is exhibiting is not considered professional by Clippers' management.Watch the Timberwolves rise up!

Re: Journey to Take LA
umm well you see I have two different accounts on OS by accident, and on my phone on which I have the ufsports account I can't post certain features, so I switched to the account on my Ipad. So now, I will post updates on maximusprime and respond to people on ufsports. Sorry I didn't clarify beforehand, do you have any questions or advice about things that I could add to make the Association more interesting?
