Seattle up, the Sonics are back - MyGM 2k15

Basketball has returned to Seattle and the Supersonics name is alive and well!!
Milwaukee lose franchise after profit margins continued to drop below the line!

Over the past two seasons secret meetings were being held between the Bucks ownership group and a very private group from the Seattle area. The main spokesperson for the Seattle group is little known businessman Trent Lowe who will be taking the reins as the new general manager.

There had been a lot of rumors floating around over the last two years as a brand new arena was being built in downtown Seattle without public funding by Lowe's Constructions. It now turns out that this plan had been in place for the Bucks franchise to move into this new state of the art arena in Seattle, as the team had been struggling to stay afloat in Milwaukee.

The Bucks history will stay in Milwaukee, as Seattle reclaimed the old Supersonics history from OKC, at quiet a hefty price through. The players, coachs, staff etc will be joining the team in Seattle but Jason Kidd requested to be released as he, quote, "didn't sign up for this!".

One Sonic fan said, "It's great that they are back, it's sad the Bucks fans had to lose there team but it happens!", another couldn't care about the Bucks lose, "Didn't even know Milwaukee had a team? Not like the fans really showed they cared!"

How will the Sonics go this time around? They are defiantly here to stay as this group has money and lots of it to spend, happily might I add. Not much is known about the GM but he helped get the Sonics back here in Seattle so we must put our trust in him to turn this roster around.

Seattle Up it's going to be a fun ride.

Only because I'm trying to pump up Ersan Ilyasova's stats so I can trade him. I will be only doing a recap on the first season I'm writing this season off and planning to make a big splash in the 2015 off-season via free agency and the draft. Then I'll be more in-depth from the 2015-16 season onwards.

The Sonics have made it known they want to clear cap space and if the price is right will move anyone with a contract the goes into next season. PG Jerryd Bayless (18.2mpg 9.2ppg 2.0rpg 3.1apg) and SG Jared Dudley (18.2mpg 8.8ppg 3.8rpg 2.5apg) have been having decent seasons with limited court time and are set to play major roles in the Pacers setup as they look to hold onto there top 4 spot in the east.

Trade News: Seattle clears the cap space they wanted on the trade deadline

Seattle has made two moves today, the first one they shipped the disgruntled O.J. Mayo (30.5mpg 15.7ppg 3.8rpg 3.4apg) along with Ersan Ilyasova (30.0mpg 12.0ppg 8.2rpg 1.0spg) to the Celtics who are currently sitting 9th in the east standing. The Celtics are trying to make a late drive for playoffs in the hope that Rajon Rondo will stay around.

The Sonics took back the expiring contracts of Brandon Bass (22.5mpg 9.7ppg 5.4rpg 0.4bpg) and Evan Turner (24.2mpg 10.1ppg 5.1rpg 2.0apg) along with a 2015 2nd round pick.

The other trade was the dumping of Zaza Pachulia (4.5mpg 1.6ppg 1.9rpg 0.2bpg) who is contracted for around $5 million next season which the Suns plan to use as trade bait next year most believe. Seattle sent it's 2015 2nd round pick to the Suns as well and in return got the expiring contract of Shavlik Randolph (hasn't played this season).

Breaking News: Brandon Knight to stay in Seattle

The Seattle SuperSonics have come to an agreement with Knight and his agent on a new 2 year, $15.01 million dollar deal with the thrid year as a team option.

"We are glad that it is out of the way and now Brandon can continue to play great basketball for this wonderful franchise." Said Knights manager

"He has been great with all the chances that have gone on with this franchise over the last year and he has become a fantastic leader. We look forward to seeing him continue growing as a basketball player and a person.

There were many rumors about what was going to be done with Knight as Seattle was clearing cap space to make a big splash in the off season. With only spending around $7.50M on the point guard in leaves them with heaps of room still.

Breaking News: Two new signings, Lewis to come back to Seattle

Seattle has been cleaning there roster of long term deals that they believe will not help them in the long run with one eye on next season, but they have still found themselves only 1.5 games out of the 8th seed in the west.

Strong play from Knight, Parker and Sanders have kept them with a chance of still making the playoffs even though that wasn't the main goal for the franchise at the beginning of the season.

In back to back games Seattle suffered injuries to important bench players Khris Middleton (4-6 weeks out) and Antetokounmpo (3-5 weeks out), they had room in the cap to add a few guys to help them keep the dream alive and that's what they did.

Rashard Lewis is coming back to where he first made a name for himself in the NBA, the deal is believed to be just for the remainder of the season at $2.00M.

The other signing is Michael Beasley who had been playing in the China national league, he will be coming to the team on a 1 year $3.00M deal with a team option for the 2015/16 season if he performs to Seattle's likely.

These are not major signings but maybe just what they need to help replace what they have lost for the next 3 to 6 weeks.
