Great to see Arizona, though stacked, kick butt also could add that Tyrone might go hook up with nuka

Yeah theyre probably going to make a run for the championship, Damon is now starting for Arizona. It would be interesting to see tyrone leave the power conference, he would dominate at the lower level lol, hed probably be good at oregon too tho especially with ahmad rorie being a senior

                          November 20th, 2017 - What the ___?

Kendall twisted his keys in the top lock and pushed open his apartment door. The team was going out to celebrate the blowout win over Grambling but Kendall opted out, claiming he wasn’t feeling great, which was actually true.

He walked into his apartment and he turned back to shut the door before realizing the doll faced curly haired brunette who stretched herself out on his couch while using her laptop – it was Brittney. “What are you doing here, how come you didn’t go to the game?”

“You don’t go to my games I don’t go to yours.” She says on the borderline of serious and jokingly.

“Well true, but you know girls’ basketball is different… Besides, your coach never plays you.”

“Maybe it’s because I’m a freshman.” She says with a little hence of an attitude, Kendall goes and throws his gym bag in his bedroom and returns to the living room, joining Brittney on the couch. He flips the television from some movie she was watching to the ESPN sports network where he sees the cast discussing other college basketball games.

As he settles down he says, “I started as a freshman, was a freshman All-American too.”

“Why are you acting like this?” She puts her computer on the coffee table and turns to Kendall with grudge. “Do you not want me here or something because it sure seems like it.”

“You got your own place too…” he thinks about what he just said and regrets it. “I don’t know. I’m just a little mad – I don’t even know why.”

Kendall did know, the truth was that he had lately been thinking about Charlie who was now fresh out of Northern Colorado and now in medical school looking to continue on her bright career track... Last summer they talked all about how they both intended to stick with each other in the near future but Kendall was on the path to make that nothing but a phony lie. He and Brittney weren’t yet official but they were close to it, much like how Kendall and Charlie started out.

“Well I guess I’ll just leave, let you be.” She gathers up her stuff and puts it in her bag.
“Call me when you’re out of your feelings.” She then walks out and slams the door. Kendall watched her leave then kicked back on the couch and stretched his legs out on the table – about twenty minutes later he received a phone call from an unusual area code.

“Yo, who’s this?” Kendall says right at the start.

“Is this you, Kendall,” a deep voice in which Kendall wasn’t familiar with, responds on the other line.

                          “Yeah, who’s asking?”

“Kendall, this is Richard, your pops.”

“The ****?” Kendall figured it was a joke at first and once again looked at the area code which displayed San Francisco’s three digits. He tried his hand at multiple different responses but stumbled on each one.

This was real – he was speaking with his father that he hadn’t associated with in over fifteen years… He hung up the phone in shock.

November 20th, 2017 - Welcome Back, Not Really

“I gave him your number,” Kendall’s mom says through the phone. “He got back in touch with me about a month ago, he wants to be back in our lives – me, you, and Trevor.”

Kendall starts to pace throughout his living room, “Mom are you stupid—“

She immediately snaps, interrupting Kendall, “You must have most your mind, don’t talk to me like that!”

“Sorry mom, but it’s obvious all he’s doing is realizing I’m going to be rich, he just wants some of my money, I don’t want to talk to him. He left you all alone with me and Trevor now he just suddenly wants to fall back in place, I’m surprised you falling for this bull…”

“Kendall, he’s living in San Diego,” she says impatiently. “When he left us he got rich – he’s been helping me lately and has wanted to talk to you… I waited to get some trust in him before I gave him your number, this will be good for you.”

“I don’t want to talk to him.”

“Kendall I know what’s best for you, I’m your damn mom so you’re not going to go against what I say… Now, he says he wants to come out and see you play tomorrow against Idaho State, I have to work so I can’t make it, I want you to call him and tell him that’s alright. Bye, Kendall.”

Kendall’s home screen appeared signaling the call was over. He threw the phone to the ground. His dad was the reason for the Rollerz and Officer Malone (Ace), who both wanted to kill him back in Las Vegas… His dad must’ve used that money he stole from Ace and got rich with it.

Kendall thought for a minute, reminiscing on the few times he remembered with being with his dad back when he was a young child. He dialed up his number to get this over with.

“What’s up KJ, it’s good to hear from you again.”

“Don’t call me KJ, only the ones who’ve been in my life call me that… I’m Kendall, to you—“

“I NAMED you Kendall, I’ll call you whatever the hell I want, son.”

“If you gon’ try and re-enter my life by yelling at me through the damn phone then you can just act like none of this ever happened.”

“Sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry for ever leaving y’all. I realize what I caused, all the stress on your moms and the fact that that I left my two sons fatherless... I’m sorry! I was living the life in California while y’all struggled… That’s why I want to come back,” he paused. “Be like a good ole’ complete family – that’s how it’s supposed to be.”

“Yeah, you just happen to think this when my name starts to get around.”

“Look man, I don’t care about the money! I got my own already; you gotta understand that… So once again, I don’t care about the money!”

“Yeah but all your money is stolen, because of you I almost got blown up in a ****ing penthouse… Bet you ain’t know about that did you?”

“… I did know about that, that story spread quick. When the system was busted and Malone was dead I finally knew I’d be able to return to the city but first I had to know if I’d be accepted by y’all, I thought about it for a while until I made the move... If I would’ve stayed with your mom for just a couple of more days back then, that man would’ve had me dead, he didn’t **** around – he was smart.”

“You’re talking to a ****ing brick wall, he messed up my entire senior year. If it wasn’t for him I would’ve been one of the best recruits in the nation! All the schools would’ve been all over me but he messed everything up! Malone went undercover for a street gang and it was like he followed me everywhere. He told me if I didn’t kill this dude he’d kill me, it forced me to leave the state and go back to Saint Louis, I couldn’t even play ball there.”

“See, you were in the exact same position I was in; matter of life and death. My sacrifice was family and yours was basketball—‘

“Yeah shut the **** up, don’t try and play this stuff off. But anyways, my mom forced me to call you and tell me it was okay if you came out to the game tomorrow against, so yeah come on out I guess.”

“Alright, we’ll talk a little more once I arrive if you want. Trust me with this, I just want to be back with my family.”

                              November 21st, 2017 - Special Visitor (Part 1)

Kendall was suiting up for his third straight game in a total of three days… He was fatigued and even a little stressed from everything that had suddenly popped up over the past few days. Today’s match up was against Idaho State, another one of Kendall’s former Big Sky competitors – not much of a competitor, these guys non-biasedly sucked but that’s what Kendall boasted about when the team played Sacramento State and it almost lost them the game…

“LET’S WIN IT BY THIRTY!” Ahmad yells, starting up a chant the team usually did after Coach Altman finished with his white board talk.

“NAH, LET’S WIN IT BY FORTY!” Jordan adds on while going crazy in the locker room.

Jaquan finishes it by routine, “**** THAT WE WINNING IT BY A HUNDRED!”

“LET’S GO!” Ahmad pumps the team up up. “Huddle up, huddle up...Now, these dudes out there are ***! They suck, so you know what we gon’ do?”

“What we gon’ do?” Everybody simultaneously yells out.

“We gon’ go out there and kick they ***, send them back to Idaho with the HUGE “L”, give them a taste of Oregon basketball, make them never wanna come back here! Make them look so bad that they gotta forfeit! We gon—“

Kendall, who had been unusually quiet lately, interrupts Ahmad in the huddle with a very calm yet annoyed tone, “They’re not a good team, let’s just go out there and beat them.”

His teammates shrug, what Ahmad was doing was nothing more than a game day routine. With the vibe ruined, they jog out to the floor that’s surfaced with yet another sold out crowd – only this one had a special visitor; Richard Jenkins.

In the layup lines Kendall didn’t do anything special, he just laid the ball up, in other sequences he jump stopped and took a short jumper… It may have not seemed like a big deal but if you knew Kendall personally and knew how hyped he was before games you would definitely suspect something.

The announcer came on when the starters took their spots on the bench awaiting the player introductions; Kendall’s time came, “At forward, six foot eight, Kendall Jenkins!”

And the game begun, it was over within four minutes. [106-71 win]

There he was; Kendall’s father. He stood at around 6’4” and still looked young, in fact Kendall looked just like him, his athletic build made it seem he as if he could’ve suited up for the Ducks tonight. He dressed down in all designer clothing which showcased the money he apparently had.

Kendall didn’t know what to say, part of him wanted to knock him out while the other side wanted to hug the man he hadn’t seen in so many years; the first option was leading but Kendall made no actions so his father finally spoke.

“You’re playing with a really good team, you fit perfectly with them. I’m surprised the scouts aren’t all over you.”

Kendall rolls his eyes and shrugs, “Why would scouts be over me after we just played Idaho State…”

“Hey man, I’m just trying to give you a complim—“

“This not the time for compliments,” Kendall’s tone rises. “I haven’t seen you in fifteen years!”

Dontae passes by and pats Kendall on the back while Richard says, “Everything starts somewhere, I don’t want you to be upset with me, there’s a reason I had to leave! Now I’m back, I’m just asking that you accept that!”

                                “Alright, alright whatever.”

“How about we go out, get something to eat or something?”

“I don’t have a car, **** broke down and the mechanics are asking for too much… Since you’re not around my mom has to try and bust her *** to get me a new one.”

“Man…” he says out of frustration with Kendall’s constant rejection. “Well, I went out a rented a nice car, I can drive you. This can be the time for us to catch up.”

                                “Alright.”

They head out of the arena, Kendall high fives a couple of fans before his father shows him to the relatively new Ford Mustang he had parked deep in the lot. They got in and *** they drove Kendall didn’t barge to unleash some of his personality, instead they drove in near silence.

Richard stopped at a red light and looked out the window, “So you say your mom is trying to buy you a car, huh.”

“That’s what I said right?” Kendall sarcastically states. “I’m the only dude without a car on the team, you know how stupid it feels to be a college athlete asking for rides?”

“Nope,” he says. “Well actually, back in high school none of us had cars so it didn’t matter, we just walked cause all of us were broke… But I understand we’re in the new days now,” they begin to approach a series of dealerships down a strip. “How about we stop at one of these dealers? Will that open you open a little.”

“A new car?” Kendall’s eyebrows raise. “You got money like that? What the **** do you do for a living?”

“Uh,” he hesitates. “I got my own businesses over in San Francisco. Money isn’t an issue, consider it as a birthday present – I know I missed you’re a couple of days ago.”

The two sit inside a restaurant and Kendall is ecstatic about his newly purchased Chevy Camaro that sat outside. He once again wondered about what his father’s so called ‘business’ was and how a man who didn’t even go to college could just walk in a dealer and buy a relatively brand new vechicle. Still, he didn’t question it.

“So you’re going to speak to me now, right?”

“Yeah, what you want to know?”

“Anything man, you’re my son. I want to know what I missed, you thinking about going to the NBA this year?”

“Hell yeah, I hate having to go to school,” Kendall takes a bite of his hamburger. “As soon as I see my name in the first round I’m leaving and that’s gonna be this year.”

“You got any idea on who you gon’ hire as your manager?”

                                “Nope.”

“Well I’m always gonna be open to my own son,” he takes a sip of his Sprite. “As you could see from earlier, I know how to handle the money and when you’re off the court that’s what the NBA is all about or else you’ll end up bankrupt by the time you’re out of the league.”

Should Kendall even think of trusting the man that he felt he just met two hours ago?
