I thought it would be awesome to attempt to bring a title to Charlotte and make Michael Jordan champion once again, this time as owner of the team.
I'm playing this on 2K15 so I will be simming the 14-15' NBA season, trading along the way and prep this team for the 15-16' season. This is a young Charlotte Hornets team and I feel that if I can bring in a veteran or two, this team could go far.
And the idea of being the GM while Jordan is the owner is pretty awesome.

I am going to fast forward through the months of this first season. I am giving myself 3 years to win the O'Brien trophy unless of course Michael Jordan dismisses me before that.
November
*Mo Williams is getting flustered with his playing time but as an organization we choose not to discuss openly
*Finished November 10-8, good for 2nd in div behind the Miami Heat
December
*Michael Kidd Gilchrist has shin splints out 1-2 weeks
*Gerald Henderson has been letting others know he wants out of Charlotte
*Hornets have fallen to 3rd in division at 18-15 behind leading Heat and Hawks
*Al Jefferson has talked to me about how he has loved being with Hornets. The big question is will we resign Al Jefferson? He is currently averaging: 19.1ppg 8.4rpg .49fg%
January
*Media has asked about Gerald Henderson and trade speculations but i have a policy to not talk about trade rumors.
*A petition comes out online to fire me as GM but I respond with we will get better. Just give us some time
*Hornets finish with 22-25 record and still in 3rd place in division and currently in 8th in the EAST
February
*A trade between Hornets and Magic has become official. Hornets get 2015 1st rd and SG Willie Green. The Magic get disgruntled SG Gerald Henderson and the Hornets 2015 1st rd pick.
*In a salary cap move we have traded PF Noah Vonleh and 2016 1st rd pick to 76ers for C Henry Sims and a 2016 1st rd pick
*Lance Stephenson goes down for 1-2 weeks with sprained MCL
*Right at the deadline it seems that the Knicks were the only team willing to take on Mo Williams. Hornets get a 2017 1st rd pick and PG Langston Galloway for PG Mo Williams and the 2016 1st rd pick they just received from the 76ers.
*Jordan very happy with these moves the GM has made
*Finish February hanging on to the #8 seed at 26-30
Jordan: Alex, I love what you did here. You’ve made good and smart moves that I think will benefit this organization. I know a month ago there was a petition out there that supposedly got you on the ‘hot seat’ and all I can say is those reports are false.
Alex: Whether they are true or not, I think it’s a little unfair and premature that after less than 1 full season I’d be on the hot seat. Mr Jordan, I know how much winning matters to you and that’s the reason I took the job.
I know you have been stressing ‘rebuilding’ but honestly, I think we need to sign one big name free agent in the upcoming off-season. I really believe that will get us over the hump.
Jordan: You may be right Alex, but right now this is my ship to run and the money isn’t quite there. I still want to focus on highly scouted draft picks and I’d say you have put us in position to draft one in this upcoming draft. This is where the people under you come in place and you get them to do their job. I got your back Alex, just don’t let ME down.
March
*Media asked GM about being on hot seat but said him and owner are on the same page.
*Al Jefferson will be out 1-2 weeks with broken nose
*Hornets have moved up to 6th in the eastern conference at 36-37
*Finished season 41-41
Playoffs
*Hornets finished 7th in the east and a matchup with the 2nd seed Cavaliers awaits them
*Jordan does not want to get swept in the 1st rd
*We avoided the sweep but still lost the series
Jordan: Hey Alex, Just wanted to say good job in your first year. Of course, success is measured on winning championships, I personally know all about that. But I think we step foot in the right direction.
Let’s get down to business as this off-season starts now. Let’s do our homework.
Alex: You got it boss.
Jordan: So, here’s the deal, we are going to be working with a real tight budget. I want to reduce Team Operations to less than 14.75M.
I gotta say man, I’m not too happy with Michael Gilchrist’s production, I want your team to focus heavy on a small forward.
Alex: I understand what you’re saying, and I’ve talked to Gilchrist a few times this year. All I can say is that I have his back. The potential is there, we just have to get it out of him. I’ve talked to our coaching staff and they are working close with him. How about we give it some time, let’s see how his off-season workouts and training camp go. If we need to move on from him, we’ll light a fire underneath him and get him to perform better. Worst case scenario, we can ship him at next year’s deadline.
Jordan: You know that’s not the answer I was looking for, but we’ll have to keep a close on this one. Still focus on a SF in the draft. I know what I’m telling you.
While we’re talking about players, what are we going to do with Al Jefferson? I’m pretty sure he is going to decline his option. Extending him would not leave us much cap room.
Alex: We need to do everything possible to keep this guy. Not to mention, I’ll look pretty bad if we don’t keep him.
Jordan: And I’ll look worse if we don’t win. We can’t make this personal man, it’s a business for me.
Alex: You are right, but Al is an important part of this business and I need your flexibility here. We are going to have to speak with his agent and get a feel of what kind of money he’s looking for. I’ll schedule that as soon as I leave your office.
