Eric Gordon will continue to come off of the bench even with Tony Allen sidelined. Coach Joerger says he loves what Gordon brings in as a change of pace.
"The league better get ready. They Have no idea..." said rookie Rayshaud Hill in a twitter post regarding his return since being sidelined since game 1 of the season.
Danny Ainge believes that this is the best Celtics team since the recent championship squad that included Pierce, Garnett & Allen.

Former Thunder head coach Scott Brooks says the OKC will always struggle as long as Durant is the center of the offense. Brooks says Kevin Durant can be too passive at times.
Former Denver Nugget, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf has been working with Emanuel Mudiay on his jumper. Plans to work with him all season long.
"I love what [Tavaris] Leggett is giving our starting rotation. His energy & tenacity is a perfect compliment to that starting lineup." says Mavs coach Adrian Griffin.
Ric Bucher reports that the Washington Wizards are still interested in Kevin Durant & are willing do what it takes to trade for him if OKC makes him available.Last edited by ronyell; 06-10-2016, 01:57 PM.Comment

The Grizzlies Grinding Out The Wins
1 - DEFENSE: The Grizzlies are sitting pretty at 9-1 mostly in part due to one factor... their tough defense. The Grizz are holding their opponents to a league tops 90.4 PPG & only 41% from the field. They are forcing a lot of turnovers (25th in the NBA) but their ability to stay in front of their man & defend the post has been reminiscent of the old Pistons of the 90's. This may be an inflammatory statement in this perspective; but... defense wins championships; and the unassumed Memphis Grizzlies are 9-1 with the best record in the NBA after 10 games.
2 - THE BENCH: First let's just ask the questions; who thought the Grizzlies would play this well? And who thought they could play this well without Marc Gasol (expected back in a few days)? I'll go on record for the public as saying no one. Taj Gibson has been the perfect fir for this team giving the high energy 12 PPG, 8 RPG & 1.4 BPG. Even though he has started lately Gibson has personified this Grizzly team. Eric Gordon looks to have revived his career by accepting a role coming off of the bench for coach David Joerger. Gordon is bringing a punch of scoring as well as playmaking to an otherwise "even keel" rotation. Gordon's 15.3 PPG leads the team & his 3 APG are invaluable when Conley goes to the bench.
2 - MIKE CONLEY: Mike Conley is what he has been for the past few years for this team; the steady engine. His defense, timely shot making & leadership has anchored this team in Marc Gasol's absence. He has also ran quarterback for this team to perfection knowing when to get the ball down low, when to reel in Gordon & when to dictate tempo.
Nobody saw this start coming & if it wasn't for a desperate Kevin Durant the Grizzlies would still be the lone undefeated team in the NBA. If the Grizzlies can remain fairly healthy & remain consistent on defense, this surprise start could very well turn into something much more.Last edited by ronyell; 06-10-2016, 01:52 PM.Comment
