Washington Wizards Dynasty - Searching for Number Two

    Washington Wizards Dynasty

It has been over 30 years since the Washington Bullets triumphed in the 1978 NBA Finals, and since then much has changed in the nations capital. The 80's and early 90's saw many Playoff disappointments, and a decline in the late 90's was soon thwarted by the signal of hope that was Michael Jordan joining the team. However he along with the many others have failed to end the run of years with no title to add. It is now left to the young backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal to guide the Wizards back to the Finals and return the Championship back to D.C.

Note: This dynasty is using The SimWorld Experience for Xbox One, which I implore you to check out. I will be using 30 team control, making the majority of the trades myself and tweaking those offered by other teams. I will have a hand in the draft and free agency to keep all in order as well.

Wiz face the Bucks on the road

After a promising opening night against Orlando, highlighted by Wall's 13 assists, the Wizards travel to the BMO Bradley Harris Center to matchup up with the 0-1 Bucks who fell to the Knicks on opening night. The night should be marked by the matchup between sharpshooters at the 2 spot, with Beal and Middleton both hitting over .500 from beyond the arc to start the year.

Wizards Thwart Bucks Third Quarter Revival

The Wizards held off a late push from the Milwaukee Bucks Friday night to seal their second victory of the season. A strong show from beyond the arc began early as Bradley Beal hit the first two of his four three pointers on the night in the first quarter, setting the tempo from the tip off. However the Bucks remained within in touching distance, and behind Greg Monroes strong post play came back within 1 at the end of the third. Despite the Center's best efforts the Wiz were able to close the game out, lead by John Wall's 13 in the final quarter as the Bucks were outscored 39-19.

Head Coach Randy Wittman was pleased with Washington's road performance highlighting the bench's impact, including several big threes from Gary Neal in the third.

Wizards look to get back on track

After a highly impressive 2-0 start to the season, the Wizards are now on a three game losing streak, and intend to stop the slide against last season's surprise team the Atlanta Hawks. Washington will be looking to lean on their backcourt to come out with the win in this one, as both Beal and Wall are averaging 20 points per game through the first five.

Re: Washington Wizards Dynasty - Searching for Number Two

After playing a couple more games, and having a mixed bag i have decided to sim to the end of season one, due to the sim results, as I don't believe the Wizards are even contenders to reach the playoffs in the current state. I will recap the season and offseason in an upcoming post.
